Unlock code reader for SE Xperia X1 / HTC Kovsky - XPERIA X1 General

---
Noctua Tech team presents software unlock code reader which allows you to easily SIM unlock HTC Kovsky (SonyEricsson XPERIA X1 / Sony-Ericsson Xperia X1a / Sony Ericsson Xperia X1c / Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1i / HTC Venus / HTC Kovsky):

Get the phone unlock code in just 3 simple steps:
Connect the phone to your computer using the USB sync cable
Launch HTC Multi Unlocker
See the unlock code for your HTC phone appear on the screen!
All codes are 100% correct for all networks and countries, code is read from the phone itself, no wrong codes are generated.
HTC Multi Unlocker will only display the phone's SIM unlock code, allowing you to use the phone with any GSM operator's SIM card.
This software does not perform CID-unlock or Security-unlock, this is done on purpose for those who want to remove the simlock, netlock and service provider lock restrictions and still keep the phone's warranty intact (it doesn't flash a radio, or SPL... nothing is modified on the phone).
How to get the unlock software?
* People who has donated 30 EUR to XDA-Developers can request a FREE unlock by sending your phone's IMEI via PM. (You must have at least 3

Doesn't flashing custom roms remove this limitation anyway?
I might be wrong though.

No, flashing a custom ROM will not remove the provider's sim lock, the phone will still be locked to the original operator who subsided it.

Hmmm... why? can you explain this point?
I thought ratchetnclank was right, since flashing custom ROM does remove every software restriction (actually, flashing a ROM remove every software on the phone), and SIM lock is not an hardware restriction.

Why reinvent the wheel? Olipro and Cmonex have a tool like this up for months already. It's the same price and they do unlock the rest as well.

This unlocker is being investigated, among to begin with, the use of XDA-Developers.com in a commercial product.
Edit:
The use of XDA-Developers was only for the Screenshots used in XDA Threads for aesthetic reasons.
The poster has been verified as being Legit and not a Spam Bot.

is it a full software wich can unlock many times or just per unit??!

Can you tell if is scan

I purchase the unlock from sim-unlocker.com and don´t received the unlock. If this is a scam you must DELETE the link from your post because people like me will trust and pay for it and receive nothing.
I contact the support and was a delay on the link with the unlock, so i can confirm now that the unlock **WORK*** and this is not a SCAM.

Did somebody try with E160?

Thank you in forward
Regarding the E160 I followed this tutorial, but the dump file does definitely not contain the unlock code as clear text.
In the comments of the linked tutorial there's a guy who has uploaded the dump files from before (commercially) unlocking his E160G and after including the unlock code, but it seems like the E160 uses some more complex algorythm.
huawei E160
i tried what devil slime had suggested and it worked untill the last part where i could not find the hex value 53 64 2c 00.........
Devil slime's tutorial, which is basicly the same as the one I linked, doesn't help at all, because the unlock code of the E160 is not contained in the dump file as clear text. To make it clear:
I've dumped my E160's ROM, extracted all 8-digit-numbers I could find in that file and I then tried to enter all numbers which could possibly (haven't tried those ending with two or more zeros) be the unlock code, but none of them worked. So again: the unlock code is not visible in the dump file - there's some more complex algorythm behind that unlock mechanism.
Hi,
I think the E160 unlocking code has 10 digits
The guy who has uploaded these files admits, his code had 8 digits.

OK, then why do 3 network enter 10 or 12 digits to unlock the E160 from their network?
As said before the tutorial doesnt display the 8 digit code(because it's 10 or 12 digits)
I can upload a tutorial and say it works and you'd be a beleiver of the crap just cause I uploaded it. HUH
Why don't you just extract all 10 and 12 digit codes and try them? In my dump file there are only two 10-digit-numbers, that could be an unlock code. If you send me your dump file, I can extract all 10-digit numbers with PHP-script. Since I have only one attempt left, I don't dare trying it.
ah.. this took me some time to figure out,.. but if you have all the files shouldnt take more than 20 mins to crack wide open..
great tut, I have the latest firmware and the original huawei dashboard..tried different sims and all worked fine after inserting the unlock code.
thanks for info.. and the tools

Well, unlock its really easy but you need SETool which is a paid software that requires a Box or dongle (with an smartcard inside).

Damn, that's the best combo. An unlocked bootloader with DRM still intact. Hell, now I'm jealous.
I don't have a locked phone but till now, I haven't unlocked the bootloader because I didn't want the DRM files to be wiped. Arrgh!

Having just done a bit more reading and seeing what's required, the price being the main issue, I think I'll wait for the devs.
If i get it unlocked at the local store, does the bootloader get unlocked as well?
You mean buying a device without simlock?
No, you always have to unlock it yourself.

As Flo95 says, if you buy the phone on factory store unlocked for any carrier yes, it will be able to start oin fastboot mode, and this way you will be able to unlock the bootloader by official way.
If the phone its not factory unlocked, I mean locked or unlocked by IMEI code, then only way to unlock the bootloader is SETool by testpoint.
lock it a great news but .....
hello.
i have a orange branded arc.
i purchase it in used not box pack.
when i purchase it, its sim unlock already i don't know from which method it done

Thank you for posting this. I was in despair when I noticed that the phone I bought was carrierlocked that was only IMEI code unlocked.

Yes, I prepare it for that.
(especially the unlock method.)

Sure, I will share my methods soon.
(I use the old tools, but modified with a hex editor.)
im sorry what do you mean the custom spl?
It is a custom bootloader,
It will allow you to flash to any type of the custom rom.
All information for you need please visit this thread.
??? im already hspl'd, is there something else on there im missing?
Please recheck the SPL in the Tri-Color screen,
Some of update via Zune will override your SPL so you need to re-flash your HSPL again.
If the bootloader is H/RSPL, the RUU will pass the model checking.
(If not, try to revert back OSPL and re-flash HSPL again.)
OK so here is a good question i have the leaked football ROM (mango) on my hd7 now when t mobile releases mango can i flash your ROM then update to mango from zune and then i will have a unlocked mango phone
You can flash my rom into the TMOUS HD7 device,
but the main system package is O2.
So you can update to mango after O2 release the update.
(anyway you can change or debrand the operator of your phone but I not recommend.)
And sure, after update your will have an unlocked mango phone by use the connection setup (and can use everytime if you got the re-lock).
yeah its still not working i dont know why i really want to try your rom
Umm... this is interesting.
Can you tell me what the device do you have HD7 or TMOUS HD7 ?
and the security unlock enable ?
(you can check this in the tri-color screen)
and try to test this rom [ROM]RUU_Schubert_O2_UK_3.04.206.01_Radio_5.66.09.21a_2 2.48.50.21_Signed
because the Model ID of both are same.
I'm on tmobile so I'm guessing i have a tmous hd7, and i didn't see anything about a security being on when i went to the try colored screen.
Okay I get it,
Your os is tmous and i guess we have the difference Model ID (MID).
By general, HD7 has the MID PD2910000 and the tmous HD7 has PD2911000.
So you need do flash via goldcard for move from current MID to general HD7,
because the HSPL can't help you to flash the other type of the MID (but help you to flash to the other type of Vendor ID).
This is only way right now, sorry about that.
My device is tmous too but i done a goldcard for a long time,
so I'll able to flash any type of rom for HD7 (O2, Telstra, Global etc..) without the problem.
I will def flash this rom once, official mango comes out, I am currently on the RTM version. But I doubt it that i will recieve the official one if I stay RTM.

[Q]Omnia 7 with mango unlock procedure without dev account

Hi everyone!!!
My question is really simple:
It is possible to downgrade an omnia 7 16 gb with official mango onboard to a version of nodo, do the chevron unlock or anything else to unlock the phone and then revert back to mango conserving the unlock ? And If Yes how I can do it?
I don't have any dev or student account !
Thanks to everyone who answer me!!!
It's possible to downgrade but you will have to start from scratch and go through the whole update process up to Mango to keep the unlock. Once in Mango and unlocked, you create a backup to have for the case you were asking
There is no other way.
i m a dumb in coding and a very shallow user that i dont ve really much info about developing or coding or bla bla.. and i dont know if this is why no one really answers any questions of me, hey i m xda user ok? i just request sum help.. and many smart developers here, just only these guys talk between, no one cares the users.. shld i learn to code to be able to talk with users and get help? ok i newly got my mango for my samsung omnia 7, i cldnt unlock by chevron when i had nodo cus when i tried it was already prevented by microsoft cus chevron licence didnt run by my email send to device, so we all have mango and anyway to unlock my device with its brand new mango on? pls?!
I have the same problem: I have a Samsung Omnia 7 device with official Mango but now would like to have a jailbreak.
So, any tutorial would be appreciated...

[INFO] S-Off vs Unlocked + Flashing firmware - misunderstanding of what "S-OFF" means

[INFO] S-Off vs Unlocked + Flashing firmware - misunderstanding of what "S-OFF" means
Source : @koush / Koushik Dutta
NOTE: For clarifications and doubts, please do view the source above from where the information has been taken and do read the comments there. Also, this only applies to the HTC ONE and future devices, not the old legacy devices
S-Off vs Unlocked, and flashing firmware
Earlier this week, I met with some of the folks on the HTCDev team in Seattle to talk about supporting +CyanogenMod and root users/developers.
We had a chance to discuss some of the misperceptions of both sides, and the conversation was enlightening. On the ROM community's end, there seems to be a misunderstanding of what "S-OFF" means; as there are a few issues being conflated here. So much so, that they recently released a S-OFF FAQ on their HTCDev portal about it:
http://www.htcdev.com/bootloader/about_unlock_process
There are two distinct concepts here:
* Being able to flash a custom ROM (boot, recovery, system)
* Being able to flash the black box partitions (non-mfg bootloader, radio, trustzone, etc). This also enables carrier unlock via SuperCID.
The term "S-OFF" is specific to HTC's bootloader, and is now being generically used and misnomered across all Android phones. The HTC Dev Unlock tool (as of the One) allows a user to flash the partitions that are interesting to custom ROMs. A full S-OFF turns off all security, allowing flashing of the radio and bootloader (and switch carriers). The latter bits are complete black boxes to all developers, and are generally not very interesting. Anyone that is involved with the radio stack, etc, are most likely employed by either Qualcomm, Samsung, etc. There is no "radio" development in the ROM community.
In a previous post, I stated the that "...the HTCDev unlock on this device [HTC One] actually behaves properly, unlike its predecessors. It behaves like a Nexus device."
https://plus.google.com/103583939320326217147/posts/WykbCAAVcrv
The HTC One is not S-OFF. But neither are the Nexus devices (Secure Boot, good luck flashing a "custom" radio image).
To put things in perspective (and these are my/+CyanogenMod's opinions); I'm not particularly concerned about devices being S-OFF. Even if they were, I wouldn't want to (or be able to) make changes to the radio anyways. I do want my phones to be unlocked so I can flash custom firmware, and I can do that.

The problem is that some of us are on carrier specific CID and cant flash RUU's to restore to stock if a carrier doesnt leak/release their RUU.
Another thing is that in my case I am moving to sweden from the UK in a couple of months and I have a o2 cid/radio being able to switch on the european one would be much better for me.
Last but not least, don't forget HTC's statement about warranty with an unlocked bootloader:
" ...unlocking your bootloader may void all or parts of your warranty and your device may not function as intended by HTC. Unlocking the bootloader is for development purposes only..."
There will be a "Tampered" title in the bootloader screen if you unlock and it will remain even after relock the bootloader and flash back a stock rom (RUU), giving a simple and comfortable reason for the service to deny the warranty.
With S-Off we could downgrade the bootloader and remove that title.
My former device was an HTC One X.The HOX had several problems both with its hardver and software. Some of them was confirmed by HTC itself, but I knew some guy whose warranty was denied with some of these problems, only because their bootloader was RElocked...

Exactly. My one and only reason why I would love S-Off is for warranty purposes.
