I recently reloaded the os to a different version and found that now the screen does not work. The keys work and everything else works except for the touchscreen. I am trying to find Windows Mobile 6.0 professional but i can't find it anywhere. I have Windows Mobile 6.5 but I have no idea if i can load it successfully. If so do I need load a special or something? Any help is great.

I hav tried hard reset, flashing ROM with new version but nothing works!
When I start my elf, it ask me to tap the screen. when I tap it, it will go to screen where you calibrate the screen, after that nothing works.
but backlight turns on when I tourch the screen.
I still trying to figure out what is the problem with my elf.
Pls adive if you find any info on this.
I love this phone, I dont want to lose it

i am on the pc for 8-10 hours to solve the problm on this ****ing s200, after a hard reset the device start to work well , but when i ll do a soft reset it could not establish a connection with the pc again moreover "error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename" is shown when i click the comm manager button. i assume that it may be a problem because of the rom version, although i search all the forum and some other sources i cant find a s200 rom which is working, finally i installed the altest version of 818 pro 2.15.13.27 which i founded in the forum. then when i install some software and make a soft reset the device refuse to open and the calibration screen is shown. i dont know what is happened but i am sure that there are some hardware problem. i dont know if somebody else have this kind of problem?? i have also a jamin and it works perfectly with its latest rom. finally give a few dollars more and buy jamin if you really want to use those htc staff...
ps: I am not sure but maybe if s200 ROM will be installed the problem is solved but it refused to install an older rom , now all the soft reset cause the setup screen of windows!!!
I Have an orange branded touch dual, its unmodified in any way, i installed the spb mobile shell version 2.1 to the fone memory, i was playin arround with the tabs on the home screen trying to put my orange options in one of the tabs, i was given a warning that it wasnt compatible wiv this software but i acciently selected ok!!
now when i boot my fone up it boots to the home screen n then freezes the screen or the buttons wont work so im unable to navigate to the hard reset option, i tried to connect to active synk to flash a new rom but it connect 4 a second then disconnects
does anyone have any ideas how i can solve this problem or is my fone bricked? your help would me much apreciated

As the title says, I have an Elf & when you press the power button (which is meant to turn the screen on and off) it shuts the device off instantly.
I first tried doing a hard reset
Then I tried another rom, to see if it was to do with the OS
& then I tried two other roms.
Ive still got the same problem.
Thinking of taking it back to the place I got it.
Anyone got any thoughts on any solution before I take it back?
Im thinking its a hardware problem that I cant really solve.
which spl are you using? I had a similar prob when i upgraded my rom to 6.1, but aftr using 3.07 spl, problems were gone..
I was using 3.07, but it doesnt matter now.
I took it back to the shop (with all accessories etc) and they replaced it for me. I feel bad about hastling them.
I took them an Elf, but apparently they have given me a Elfin, but on their system, they both just come up as p3450
But it works! thats the main thing.
and its gold and shiny.
Maybe somebody know how to solve this problem without turn elf back to the shop?)

I had exactly this problem before I knew I have an Elfin.
I flashed Elf Roms on my Elfin, that caused the problem.
It boots regularly, but it will do a soft reset every X
minutes. Then I flashed an Elfin Rom and everything
works fine ^^
Maybe I'm wrong, but i think its Elf. It has 64Ram & 128 Flash, or they may not correctly view after flash or i dont understand differences?
It boots regulary every X minutes because it goes to sleepeng mode if device is not using. If this option off, it will not boot by its own, only if i press power button(

i`ve got a problem with my touchscreen, after installing SD card distribution of Android, few restarts later my touchscreen stpped to respond every time when my device is locked, and i have to restart it.
I tried to flash new rom - nothing happend

remove sd card delete the partitions and format - use Easeus free edition for this
Then boot the phone - reun task 29 from your pc then reread the flashing instructions for the rom of your choice and try again - ensure the rom supports your version og HD2 whatever that may be
All done, and doesn`t work. I`m wonderig if is possible, that is malfunction of touchscreen, because it have been changed after it was broken.
i'm having the same issue. after it goes into its first lock screen the touch screen input doesn't work. i've flashed the ROM and also task29 the sucker. i've reverted back to stock ROM too. I'm not running android or even try to install from SD.

I have a HD2 with android on it.. nand version.. so it runs without sd card..
The phone works fine.. but when you lock it.. the screen doesnt respond anymore.. its running miui at the moment, so i can unlock the lockscreen.. but still the screen doesnt respond..

Yesterday I try install the orginal WWE 6.5 ROM but nothing change...
Maybe is hardware issue ? Few times with android rom my leo was very hot and maybe something burn inside ? or its stupid idea but who knows

Sure it's hardware: replacing touchscreen is your best choice!
But is this because of android on hd2? or do other people with stock phones also see this problem?
Hd2 is already gone here.. but i think its a good thing to know for the scene..

It's a wellknown (hardware) problem for HD2, not related to software(android/wm/wp/whatever).
SO my LEO came back from service, there is a part list that they changed:
- 54h20178-00M pre-assy key, key FPC, UF-KS, w/o Reg
- 74H01549-00M Chassis Pre-assy, black, stainless steel, MLRB81
- 76H04078-00M tape, FPC connector, kapton, MLRB81
- 83H00294-01 change 83H00233-01, 83H00294-03, 62H00065-B1M Sub-assy to 82H

Okay, so i just bought my 6th HD2, and this one got the lockscreen problem as well. If i lock the screen using the red power button and try to wake it up with the same red power button i found out that it doesn't work. I tried everything but i think i found a sort of workaround for the touchscreen problem.
1. Lock the screen as you normally do, with the red power button.
2. Wait at least more then 6 seconds with the screen off.
3. Now push the VOLUME UP button to make the device wake up.
4. Profit!
5. If it doesn't work, go back to 1 and try again.
I found out that if it works 1 time it will work multiple times in a row.
I'm on NAND but i think it works on SD aswell.

I installed XDAndroid GBX0C 2.3.7Build to my HTC balckstone and everything works well, but camera tells me "camera error; Cannot connect to camera."
is there any fix for that?`
and the other thing, when i boot phone it goes to win6.1 and i have to go settings etc. and boot it from haret.exe.
so am i done something wrong or something? Solved
So if somebody can help me i would be very pleased

And this just happend, phone just stop working whit black screen.was have to took battery off, and then it took about 10-30min to boot to win again.

so what's the solution to this proplem? i would be very pleased if some one could tell me how to fix my proplem. i know there is someone who know what i should do.
Could I solve this proplem if i unlock and install custom rom? just wondering if that would help?!

I have tried hard reset, but that didn't work, and tried to put original rom too, and nothing happened. I have 2 original roms

but those didint work. i will try today againe. and then if it going to work i will put that haret to start menu.

flashed that 1.4 rom and waited about an hour and nothing happend... i jsut did hard reset and wait againe if it gonna boot now...
i was thinking that should i put custom rom, coz if something went wrong whit the official?

GBX0C2.3.7 Build is on SD card.
You will need to boot from Windows Mobile first, then run HaRET to reboot to XDAndroid.
If XDAndroid hangs, you need to remove battery, put back battery and power on. Then you see Windows Mobile and do above step again.
Always, from XDAndroid to go back to Windows, you need to Power Off, and then Power On again.

You say you are flashing the original ROM. You mean the original HTC Windows Mobile 6.1 ROM? I understand you can only get this done only from HTC authorized centers.

U have to install HTC USB Sync Drivers drivers
Put the phone into bootloader by pressing volume down + power button
plug the usb cable to the computer/laptop
and then run the shipped rom executable file... when the tricolor screen displays USB at the bottom.
else extract the RUU_signed.nbh or any file with .nbh extension from the shipped file with zip viewers like 7-zip
rename the file to BLACIMG.nbh
Put into the root of memory card
put the phone into bootloader and follow the screen instructions..
And the most important thing... search the forum.. before posting..

I think that you can't reflash even a Original ROM without unlock the phone with new Hard-SPL from Olinex ,considering that you have tried a Hard Reset and nothing happened ,your last option is to unlock the phone and reflash the ship ROM ,or to flash a custom ROM ( is not a good solution if you still have warranty,but still you cand revert your stock SPL:good so ,you have nothing else to lose , all is left for you is to try what i said before . If you don't know how to do it,let me know and i will post the exact links to instructions.

You can try a NAND ROM like the new release of Fagyi. There is an easy step by step manual to installation. You will lose winmo, but you will have a real android.
It looks pretty and he has solved many of the issues of previous versions.

You need to understand what you are going to do or you may end up with a phone that does not work anymore.
