No, the diamond stylus is slightly longer.

Also to note is the small plastic piece at the end is larger (basically fatter) so it won't stay inside a Pro.

DLO HipCase?

This is the case that was meant for the iPhone. I haven't seen one in person, but do you think it'll fit a diamond or a touch pro?

iPhone and TP hav different sizes, so the cases do not fit...

It seems to fit the Treo Pro. So why wouldn't it fit the diamond? I could see it having problems with the TP and being a bit tight. Ugh. They need to make a vaja case for the TP.

Scientifically put.......an enormous pain in the arse.
Really awkward fit - I tried several times [very very carefully] and STILL ended up with a very small 'bubble' strip on the bottom rhs of the screen
I'll have a look at the Brando ones - I was waiting for a Martin Fields one to come out (as they do a great one for my Diamond)

I imagine they would all be a pain to apply with a screen that large.

just ordered this. good price. will report back
The ones from brando are excellent, probably the best screen protector.
I've bought them since the days of the SE P800 and no complain at all
I've always like PPCTechs AG protectors because they have a matt finish. They last for years and make a nice finish to reduce glare/reflections. But it looks like they won't be offering one for this device at the moment.
Can anyone recommend something similar?
Many thanks,
I just got my "BW PDA Screen Protector (HTC Touch HD)" Brando brand screen protector. I'm not a big fan. The camera hole isn't a hole it's a U shaped notch. The speaker hole is quite big. The corners don't follow the curves of the phone and it's about 1mm short on the bottom. The one I got was the anti-glare version. I think it might work (anti-glare) but I won't put it on as I think it would make the phone look cheap due to the bad fit. I've had good experiences with Exim brand protectors in the past. Looks like I'll give them a go again. Mind you they are more expensive.
what do you use to clean the screen of HD before apply brando cover to prevent air bubble?
Another vote for Brando - must be the ultraclear.
Only complaint is that the Brando seems to gather a few more finger prints than the native screen.
The in box screen protector from HTC is rubbish !
screen protector
Does anyone know of one that protects the whole body. I find taking it out of a pouch always ends up answering the call. So probably going to discard the pouch if I can get a good fully body protector.
Does anyone know if invisibleshield from ZAGG is any good?
I believe there isn't a version for the HD yet, but it will come in the future

Do you know what button is pressed?
I thought the answer button was capacitive and could only be activated with finger press and not with other object pressure.
Could you test if you can press the aswer button with the pen or other object? TIA
PS: I don't have the HD yet.

It's resistive, not capacative. You can use the stylus for example to push the button

Being resistive defeats the purpouse of having a slider in the touchscreen to answer the call

Verizon: Touch Pro

Where do I get a replacement magnetic stylus for the HTC Touch Pro on Verizon, VZW, XV6850?
any touch pro stylus should work, they are all over ebay.
I want a magnetic one though.
They're all magnetic if they're from HTC.

I Have not seen the styus for the Verizon model but my Fuze and and my Sprint Touch Pro take different stylus! They are NOT interchangeable. So far, the only replacement stylus I have seen online are for the oem touch pro/ATT fuze. Be careful....

Stylus

Is there a stylus with the HD Mini? I now have the Touch Cruise (p3650) and i'm thinking of changing it for the HD Mini. I use my stylus very often and was wondering if i need a stylus for the H Mini and if it has a place to put the stylus when you don't use it.
No, the capacitive screen requires a rather special stylus, such as that below, with a broad rather than pointy end, which is rather too bulky to fit into any device's stylus silo.

If you're really committed to having a stylus, I'd look at the Touch Diamond 2, which I think will be the last resistive screen WM device HTC produce, excepting the Touch HD of course, which I think is discontinued now.

Xperia Z2 Supports Pencil as input but...

Some of Z2 users (or say many) still doesn't know that our device responses with any ordinary pencil (or pen).
Not only responses it works well and even without enabling glove mode or any extra system level mods. (Added some clicks)
However, this features is not announced officially by Sony for our devices, which was one of the major & unique feature earlier introduces to Xperia Z Ultra.
And they discontinued this with further Z series line-up phones (as also it doesn't work with Z3 and perhaps later)
So...somewhere the question arises- should we continue to use that feature in our phone, or we will end up damaging our display screen or touches?
Any idea, if there were any such problem with Z Ultra?
Please comment on that.
It was a silly idea
-Drawing with a pencil on your phone? Why can I just use a stylus? The pencil damage the screen.
-Actually you can use other electric conduction items. But why?
-Terrible accuracy, even worst than S pen
-Why can't just make a stylus? like Samsung S pen? MS surface pen? Why pencil? Why pencil?

Ok I agree...!!
But still I would say what's wrong if any device supports pencil in addition to a stylus, especially when the phone has no space to keep a stylus?
In that case it seems using just any pencil will be more handy (for lite use)
And say good for college going students or people works in art or architectural fields.
But offcourse not in the cost of damaging your screen, if it really makes then.
yes, it responds. i've tried... i'd suggest you to put a tempered glass protector before you use the pencil on the screen..... with a tempered glass like screen cover, i really felt more and accurate response... So if you want to use your pencil as a stylus without damaging your screen... using a tempered glass is the best solution.. hope i helped,

Pretty sure you can fit a stylus in the phone/phablet like Z ultra
E.g.
Samsung Galaxy Note

Galaxy Note styluses doesnt work on normal screens. I tried Note 4 stylus on HTC One M7, Galaxy S5 and Xperia Z2 and it doesn't work, because Note has a special technology for its S-Pen. It recognizes coordinates and touch of stylus and that's how it works. It won't work on non-Note phones, because of lack of this technology.
But universal styluses or pens are working very fine - this I can confirm.

It's not about getting screen scratched, it's already scratch resistant (you can search for such testing videos) and even so I am also using similar screen protectors (nilkin 9h screen protector recommended mostly).
Here the question is about such damaging of screen, resulting touch issues, abnormal behaviours or dead screens.
BTW Thanks for suggestions

Yes sure they have.
Check my reply, I already have written "...especially when the phone has no space to keep stylus. In that case..."
Found an old link, Sony confirming stylus/pencil support for Xperia Z2
i like to use pencil to read pdf files and highlight the words . has been a year using it ..cant see any scratches due to pencil ...

Nice to hear that, let's hope will not lead to any trouble, to any screen functionality further
Sony has changed to Synaptic driver from Z3 (Z1, ZU and Z2 use Maxim driver), I think that is the problem, but it seems to be strange since my friend own a Z1 with Synaptic driver and get working with pencil.

Though for Z1 there are some workaround available to enable that, perhaps this mod works for Z1
