Hello,
my screen has some damage and i ordered this to replace the screen:
http://shop.brando.com/prod_img/zoom/SREPR006300_01_L.jpg
now when i look at this part this is smaller then the surface of the diamond, it looks like the inner part of the screen, the real touch part.
where the htc logo is, the black part is not included.
Now when i feel across my screen it looks like the 2 screens are just 1, i cant see where they blend in each other. is the top layer existing of 1 piece and the touch screen laying beneath ?

Hi, i broke my Elfin display (T-mobile unlocked) my screen looks like this: (touchscreen is still working):
. I think i need the entire screen+digitizer thing and not only the digitizer? therefore this ? http://cnn.cn/shop/touch-screen-p-1900.html
Unlucky
The touch screen has 2 parts. The plastic outer screen is the digitizer and the lcd screen is the one underneath. When you take it appart the digitizer stays in the top of the housing and the lcd is attached to the middle bit.
Looks like you broke the LCD for sure but maybe the digitzer is ok - you will see as soon as you take it apart. The post here about how to disasemble a touch has clear pictures so check it out its quite easy to take apart if you follow the guide.
Yeah that definitely looks like you broke the LCD which is underneath the digitizer. Either take it to a service rep...or if you think you're up to it.....you can attempt to take the phone apart and replace the LCD yourself.
well my htc hd2 is using android and using it a year by now and notice that the upper left of the screen is not working?is it the lcd or digitizer or just need to align it?i dropped this many times(up to 5 times i think)but no damage on the housing and it looks new,and it is annoying in some games cause it wont work and i notice a very little red dot on that part.....pls help
If you lost sensitivity and the screen does not respond to touch, then it's a digitizer, if picture is distorted or, as you describe, a red dot appeared where it shouldn't be - LCD, sounds like both in your case. I am not quite sure how it doesn't work in games or whether the problem is present in normal screens. Alignment is a procedure to tune and correct mistakes in touch recognition or to make touch more precise on resistive screens.
I suggest replacement of your LCD + DIGITIZER. Dropping it many times may have caused it too, even if housing looks perfect.
Bought a Galaxy S4 on ebay a few weeks back. Didn't notice it at first, but when I sat down to apply a screen protector and wiped the screen clean, I noticed there is some sort of a micro object, like a white dot just under the glass. It is not a dead pixel, because it is there when screen is completely off, and when I tilt the phone and hold it at an angle I can see that LCD under this tiny dot is clean.
What the heck can it be? I doubt the seller changed the glass screen and wasn't careful when cleaning the LCD, but I suppose it is remotely possible since the phone has a nasty scratch with tiny chunks of plastic chipped off, on the bottom right corner of the silver bezel.
Anyone had a problem like this with their screen? Any way to fix this short of removing the screen?
Could be dust under the screen. If I was you I'd get it replaced if it bothers you. I dont think there is no way to remove it other than removing glass to clean it and reapply which I advice against.

The colored checkered backing behind the glass is starting to flake around my home button. The phone still works fine, just to the left of the home button no longer has the checkered white (kind of like carbon fiber look).
How thick is that colored backing? Is it just a thin paper sticker on the backside of the screen? Does it serve any other purpose than just to make the phone white (or whatever color)?
If this is cause for concern, I was going to take it to a cell phone repair place to get the front replaced.
Thanks,
Hi guys,
My s5's screen has broken and i need a new one. Also i want to buy that on the aliexpress but some lcd screens in the aliexpress are dont have brightness setting or dont have Samsung logo on the over. In fact, if you buy a orijinal lcd or a+ quality screen on the aliexpress, will you give link me? Thx.
I've installed a few of these 'Chinese Copy' screens and they are only worth doing if you are seriously short of money. Taking your points in no specific order:
The Samsung logo is always present on every one I've had. You never see it in the pictures because of some licensing condtion that says that you can only put the name on a completed product (or so I'm told). The screens will have a scratch-and-sniff patch covering the logo, which you have to remove (carefully) with the edge of a coin or something similar.
They have all had just two (or three) brightness settings ('dimming' in the test menu will show this) rather than being continuously variable
The colour rendition is crap
The color schemes thing where you select 'cimena', 'photographic' or whatever don't work. Can't remember official name for this
Doesn't support touch hovering
Some don't support multi-finger touch (some do)
The glass is little more than thin plastic and bends/breaks easily
They are significantly thicker than normal, so they won't sit in the housing properly. No amount of glue will make them sit properly (and they will bend anyway)
The screen area is several mm smaller in both dimensions. The space between the Samsung logo and the screen boundary is v noticeable unless it's a black screen
The TSP and glass can not be separated, even with specialist hardware
TL;DnR Don't bother.
