Could we make this a sticky and post links of themes for the touch pro 2? The number of times I've used the search typing in "tp2 theme" or "start menu theme" and found completely the wrong thing I'm after.
I would do it myself but I dont know of any good ones. Or should I say cant find the good one.
.........or ones that even work. I have read all over about installing the net 3.5 (done) and then the config tool (forget the exact name). But that never works (even when I remove the "tweeks" file). 1 time it was a flook it worked and I tried a couple themes, but they were to short (height was shorter).
I did find this one, on this great site here........

Hey Guys
1. Splash Screen
-> I tried several png images (480x640 & 640x640), but nothing is displayed when my phone boots up. The screen is just all white.
2. Start-up sound
-> I tried a few different wavs (16kbit / 22KHz / Mono), but there is no sound when the htc animation plays during boot.
How can I get these things 2 work?
You should post that question here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=418151
it is the thread for the application in question.
other than that i cannot help you as i disable the startup animation as it slows down the device booting!
If I post in that thread i will end up @ page 38 (last page) and nobody will respond.
I've seen a guy ask the same question 4 times without any luck.
And that is why I started a new thread.

I understand this, but this is the nature of a forum.
all of the people that have responded to that thread will get an email about your post, so you will have a better chance of getting a correct answer there.
the other option is to use this: DiamondTweak 0.5.3
ADV Config & DiamondTweak have some the same features and some different.
also some of the features may not be applied properly with ADV Conf, but are applied correctly with diamond tweak and visa versa.
i have both, they do not constantly run therefore it is not like having 2 anti virus programs running
or if you dont want both install them both and remove the one you dont like, but personally i use both, i find that diamond tweak works best with graphical/user settings and such like where as i prefer using advconfig for more system related tweaks like changing the times of cutting my calls off for example.
ok I will post in the correct thread.
some1 must delete this one then...
Hi,
Searched through FAQ, however didn't find the exact match, so here it is:
Polaris, WM6.0 Professional, ROM v. 1.28.457.2 WWE .
Standard Launcher number of icons isn't enough, so am trying to increase. There's a suggestion in FAQ to increase amount of keys by duplicating exisiting ones in a registry somewhere under in HKLM\software\HTC\ , however this supposedly includes word "manila" and I don't have that.
What I do have is HKLM\Software\HTC\HTCHome\Launcher and keys from 0 to 8.
So I've created '9', '10', '11', and duplicated values from existing ones, with program links that I put inside, and no change happened - still only 8 usable slots + 1 used to remove.
I've done soft reset, and also waited for couple of minutes as well - to no avail.
Would appreciate help on the subject.

Sounds like you are using the HTC Home today plugin and as far as I remember, you can only have 8 program icons. Have a look for a program called claunch - you will be able to place it on your screen under htc home and be able to add many more programs for launching.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.
you could also consdier flashing cooked ROM with M2D?
hi,
i am getting this phone in a few weeks on vodafone(uk).
i have looked in a few threads but i was getting a bit lost so,
when getting this phone from new what would you do with it...
what would you change in the settings...
what programs would you remove...
what programs would you add...
any help would be great thanks.
Hi Markyc101, welcome to the forum/X1 Owners' club!
I too was a bit lost in the beginning, and didn't know where to start because of the large amount of detailed info.
Before you start doing anything really, you should read about the WinMo OS, and what a ROM is (and what it means to load a different one). Even though this is already pretty advanced, it's the most core aspect of the device and therefor I found it a logical place to begin. This info, and other basics, can be found in the Wiki (a sticky thread if I'm not mistaking).
Moving on, the further changes (as I see it) fork into two categories: appearance & functionality.
Appearance can be tweaked with SKtools (really hardcore, i.e. setting the width of scroll bars in pixels) and other tools that modify the registry. There are also some more gentle options, like skins etc.
Functionality can be added by numerous programs, it's really so diverse it's easier to start at the goal than the source. With this I mean there are too many programs to list, specify what you want to do (i.e. navigate, use phone as flashlight, play sweet video's, etc) then people can be of help.
Don't ask us what WE would add/remove, as this doesn't neccessarily apply to you. Furthermore, tip for your next forum post: the more specific, the more answers you'll get!
Good luck, post back when you know better what you want.
I think these threads will help you a little.. Im also first time using this kind of phone (Windows Mobile).. Hang out over here a little and you'll naturally know more
XPERIA X1 LIBRARY: All available ROMS RADIOS FLASHING TOOLS TUTORIALS APPS

Congrats! I just ordered mine today, to replace my Fuze.
thanks dancemacabre that was what i was after,
some of those programs look really good i will have to check them out.
if anybody else has any good programs i should check out please let me know.
i am not very techy but i would like some flashy new things on my phone.
thanks,
I'm planning to buy this phone too This thread is quite interesting
But when I see the Official ROMs thread for Xperia X1, all I see are codes (names) of the roms :-s
But is there a releaselog with the updates? So I can check the improvements/updates with the ROMs.
Probably one of the first I would install is Advanced Config... for me way more functionality than Xperia Tweak... its a must have...
TBH the more you play with your phone and figure out what you want to do with it then do a search based on those goals the more personalised and indespensible it will become...
This is a great phone, bet u will like it replying with my x1 with wifi now..
Imo, TouchFlo3D is good n flashy but its laggy.. and i prefer the default panel as its clean n easy to see
If you really wan a taste of TouchFlo, u can go over the ROM sub-forum and look for itje 's Touch-It v4.5. There're step by step tutorial provided for the installation. Remember to back up always
N a little tips, put your mp3 for ringtones in My Documents in storage card. X1 can detect the folder and u wont need to put ur mp3 in the phone itself!
That's all! Have a nice day
exactly the thread i was looking 4!
Hi all,
I have been searching high and low on XDA and using Google to try and find some answers to this but I have not had any luck. I've looked through the wiki and other threads. I'm sure that if I had looked when I first got my HD I would've found answers but now I can't. Did they ever exist? Anyway, my question....
My friend has a Diamond and his TF3D interface speed is amazing compared to mine. I have the stock rom and my TF3D version is 1.3.35350.1_1630.38.
The reason I ask now and didn't follow any developments when I first got my HD (around a year ago) is that I just installed SPB MS2. Now I am trying TF3D again but it is so slooooooow?
Another thing, my friend can just swipe his finger across the tab bar at the bottom and the different tabs load. Mine, I have to tap each button to see the relevant tab and even then, I wait sometimes half a second, sometimes a second or two. Edit: Sorry, wasn't pressing hard enough however, it is still slow at loading?
If it is suggested that I flash the ROM, I've never done this and so when doing so, do you lose all the installed programs and such? If yes, I have SPB Backup and so would doing a backup, flash ROM, run backup put me back to how my phone was pre-rom flash?
Thanks for any help offered.
Try searching this forum for a tweak software such as Tweak HD. If you install this and configure it with the adviced settings (ADV) your HD will be a lot faster.
You can also try and install the new VGA Driverpack from the project you can find in the ROM development section.

Thanks for the reply. I've installed HDTweak (did see this before) but was hoping for some registry tweaks instead. Would rather know what does what instead of installing an application that is supposed to perform certain changes/improvements.
See what happens after installing HDTweak.
Oh, I did also install the new Driverpack but found that games played slower. Maybe this has something to do with the screen having to draw more frames and so stressing the CPU more to do the same thing as if the driverpack wasn't installed? I'll post this question in that thread just to keep this one specific to TF3D!
Thanks

Are you sure? i had a diamond and the tf3d was crap even with the stock rom, i can use the swipe gesture on my HD to move from page to page aswell, and pages load pretty much instantly with mine, sounds like your device hasnt been optimed enough, just like a pc after extended use, it will become slow and unresponsive if you dont keep the file system and registy optimised

Be sure to go through all HDTweak settings. Change values to ADV under the performance section.
i agree you have to....
optimize your device to its fullest capacity..i have stock rom ... on hd and have used hd tweak, plus few other applications found here, like driverpack 3 , gfxboost.. and few registry tweaks .etc...i am very impressed with touch ( sensitivity ) , speed of opening of most applications (yes ,some does have slight lag ) but overall, programs eg..file exployer,programs..settings etc..open instantaneous ...
( i also set sensitivity, finger pressure in hdtweak to very high )
i further hardly swipe manila ..."home " tab and it slides ,right through to last tab ( settings tab ) on manila ( vice versa)
my advice is also optimize ,( trail and error ) and seach, seach ..xda threads..
good luck
OK so I just got my TILT 2 from ATT, and I want to change the the touch flo from the att blue to another color of my choice. How is this possible?? Thanks for any help!

AFAIK, there isn't any overarching "theme" you can just plonk on your Tilt2 to change the look and feel -- I'm not saying it doesn't exist, just that I don't know about it. I, too, was not thrilled by the ATT blue, so I poked around and installed bits and bobs to get a look that makes me happy. Currently, these are the CABs I've got installed to make my device pretty:
At0mAng_LEO_SLIDER_1919.cab
C_Brians WM6.5 Taskbar gfreek editionV5b.cab
Contacts_Clock_Music_Sliders_TransparentTab.cab
DarkMetal.cab
Laser Inc. Transparent Slider.cab
Manila_Icon_Pack.cab
MobileMatt_CrystalClockWhite%5B1%5D.cab
No Curtains.cab
OluchiBackground.cab
SettingsIcons.cab
TP2-Batt.cab
clockFlipDisable_att_stock_tilt.cab
gfreek Battery Percentage Fix.cab
Search around for them, read the install instructions and all that. You're certainly in the right forum.
wow! thans for all of those I will certainly check them out!
looks cool, can you create links to those cabs and alittle discription, so I know im installing what i want?
thanks

The best way for you to know you're installing what you want is to search for these cabs (most of them in this forum, otherwise in other xda forums) and read what the developers have said about them, including installation instructions.
Sorry to appear lazy about this, but I don't have the time (nor inclination, frankly) to provide information already available by searching. Your experience will be all the richer if you take the time to figure out what you want and how to find it (i.e. how make full use of xda-developers.com).
To show how easy this is, I did take the time to search for the first CAB in the list (At0mAng_LEO_SLIDER_1919.cab -- searched with the underscores replaced by spaces and the ".cab" removed) and came up with this -- the firs link in the result set:
