I believe this is a limitation of homeplus and was mentioned once or twice somewhere in xda

Is anybody here who can code a simple app that can activate the photo flash of the Wizard. I think assigning such an app to a hardbutton would be really great because it would make a perfect flashlight out of the wizard.

Is there still no application available?
Would be nice to have a simple one to turn on the LED on a high level an turn off the display at the same time and other way round.
Would prefer to link it to a hardwarebutton.

I've been looking for this program for a while too... without finding it !
It's been dev for the jas-jar. Couldn't it be adapted for our Wizard ? ... Would be actually useful !
ziovass: are you sure this has been developed for the Universal? I haven't seen it.

I saw something similar here... Maybe I'm wrong ?
No, I think this is just for making use of the light button, not the light itself...

Is there no one who knows about how the LED is turned on and off?
Or is there a chance to spy out how the camera-application does this job?
Hi,
I overclocked my Prophet about a week ago to 301MHz and have it seems to be very stable - i've had no freezing the whole time whilst browsing the web, send emails and watch streaming video via orb. I just wanted to know if anyone has been able to push the Prophet any further to get an idea about its overclock capability. I know the phone in most cases remains working if you clock it to high but my Tornado seems to have slowed down after I overclocked it too much and I don't want that to happen with this one aswell.
Thanks
The highest speed I can OC my prophet to stably is 286. The chips all behave slightly differently so one may clock higher than others...
cool thanks!!
I advise you not to overclock it that much. At least not in a regular basis. It is a good idea tu use the scalar mode. You can find that setting on BatteryStatus plugin.
someone can tell me the name of a overcloker ?
id proved 2 types of programs (turbotry, other) with no results.
anyone knows a cool program tooverclock a Prophet - qtek200 and WM5 ?
thanks a lot
Try Battery Status, I've been using this for a very long long time with many cool features other than overclocking......trust me and try it....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=270751
Does anyone know if batterystatus is available for WM6.1 standard on tornado?
No idea! I'd check the website http://www.chi-tai.info/
thanks! i will check it out
for wm6.1
i could not see in the web site
which proggram can you advise to me for use wm6.1

Hi,
The program your looking for is omapclock, however this only temporarily overclocks the cpu. To overclock over a longer period of time you will need tornado power control (which comes with omapclock) - I have attached a file
Let me know how you get along!

Becase in later versions of the Windows Mobile it's up to the OEM manufacturers to implement a shutdown method. HTC have one but psWhutXP doesn't use it.
I've written an app that uses one of the ways to shut it off in xdaShutdown (see my sig). It's incomplete but I am still working on it

Is there any simple and reliable piece of software that will allow us Jade users to tweak our phones' CPU speed? I actually want to underclock it a few, in order to prolongue battery life when playing games during long train rides etc.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, haree, but that app. is way too "heavy" for my needs. I'm running the stock HTC ROM, so i have no need for the Today screen plug-in and all that jazz. I just need a simple app. or way to underclock. Something along the lines of "HTC Performance", "xcpuscalar" et cetera.
Hi
dear the same application has the omap which is used to over or under clock the phone sorry this is the only one i know of

So, if i understand correctly, there is no other app. for under/overclocking Qualcomm CPUs other than Home Screen Plus Plus. I wonder why hasn't anybody bothered to make such an app. It would've been very well received by the vast majority of experienced HTC users. I wish i knew how to code.
Thanks alot for your help, haree!

Hey, isnt that feature a part of the sense UI on android based devices?
however if you know any windows mobile developers you could ask them to make you an app? im sure it works by reading values from the g-sensor and the proximity sensor during the calling period then applying the appropriate settings for the values read.
We have one for our tg01 but unfortunately there is a time delay when you tilt the phonr
