Hi,
i have phonealarm. Phonealarm can turn on bluetooth on incoming call. this save battery.
my td2 take about 30 seconds to connect to my seecode car handsfree.
my old touch cruise connected in 5-10 seconds.
30 seconds is to slow for the incoming call.
is there any way to speed up the bluetooth connect?
regards
lars

Can't answer that, but can report that leaving Bluetooth enabled all the time doesn't have a serious impact on battery life. I use Bluetooth for music, and when I turn on my Sony HBH DS-200 it connects immediately even with the TD2 in standby. Try it, nothing to lose.

Hi All,
I have MDA compact unlocked. When i answer a call with my Motorola HS810, it works fine but only for a couple of minute. It then loses connection and I have to actually use the phone. Has any experienced this and is this a fix ffor it?
Thanks for your Help.
Yeah this is a confirmed issue that they are working to resolve. I'm going to post a response e-mail i got back from the O2 helpdesk.
They will make a ROM update available sometime....not ETA at present.
I guess this profile should help
it will basiclly let ur PDA receive bluetooth messages.. even when ur display is turned off... and the same thing for the bluetooth headset...
I hope it will work
cheers
Can anyone confirm whether this solves the problem?
Hi,
I have the iMate Jam and a Motorola HS850. I can pair up ok but the connection drops out when I make a call or receive a call simply move the earpiece away from my Jam.
It is as if my Bluetooth signal is pathetically low!
I hope they fix it soon as I am less than impressed as I can't take the Motorola back because there is nothing wrong with it.

Is this still working?
I have a Touch Pro and a Saab boardcomputer. After pairing these two, the connection disconnects after a few minutes (when I do not have a call).
By the way: when I have a call every five minutes (so both are active connected) the connection still active.
Has anybody out there tried using the scripts in this software to turn on Bluetooth when a call is received and off again when the call is finished.
I don't have a Bluetooth headset at the moment so I have no idea if the Bluetooth connection is established fast enougth, but if did, then it would be a good way of preserving battery power.
Hi Paul,
I see what you are saying however when using a BT headset the headset initiates the connection to the phone when it is switched on which means when you switch back on BT on the phone it won't initiate a connection to the headset. In this case you would need to either power on (assuming it's off) the headset or press one of the headset keys which might be enough to make the connection.
However the BT power consumption on modern phones is minimal and you probably only gain about 30 mins max extra standby time by switching BT off.
Gav.
Wondering if anyone has had this problem. I haven't pinned a time down yet. I use a motorola car kit. It will disconnect and end the call for no reason. Is there a timer to auto disconnect in the bluetooth stack? Any help is appreciated.
approx 4minutes or less
I was having a problem w/mda and bluetooth and sometimes without bluetooth, in that the entire network would just drop when the call gets close to 4 minutes.... I called tmo about it and they simply gave up and said maybe its the phone...so they sent me a replacement mda, used it today during one call and couldn't believe that the call lasted longer than an hour...
Mine is only with bluetooth. I guess a little more info is needed. If I hit the voice dial button on my car kit I get the voice command tone. I have also used bluetooth to play music over the car kit with the voice command controls(just for fun, horrible quality). It will disconnect while it's playing music no call involved. I have a feeling it's the bluetooth connection timing out but I'm not sure. It's frustrating.
so its not happening during phone calls???
see there might be a bluetooth timeout that tmo doesn't know about...I have to use bluetooth and it seems like every 4min or less it blanks out everything and sometimes I even have to re pair the two devices.... I would try making calls and using the bluetooth w/o car kit...mine did some of the samethings like streaming music thru bt headseat and it would blankout with that also even when not on a call..
Car Kit Not Staying Paired???
I guess I wasn't clear. It happens in both situations. I think i have to re-pair after as well. As far as I know it doesn't stay paired. When a call comes in I usually have to wait about 2 rings before it rings through the car kit. Also when I make a call by hitting the voice dial button on the car kit the blue light blinks for about 2 seconds then I get the voice command sound. I assume that the blinking is it re-pairing. I guess I need info on how to keep it paired.
Anyone? I have found that time dosen't seem to be a issue as it has done it a 1min 43 seconds and 2 mins 38 seconds.

Try turning on the bluetooth first while your phone is off. Once the bluetooth is on, then turn on your cell phone. I tried many times in frustration why it is saying "phone is disconnected" looking for problems. Then it works now and even the phone book in my Nokia and Garmin GPS. Hope it helps you too.
Turn on bluetooth device first while the cell phone is off. Once bluetooth is on, then turn on the latter. Hope it works. Do it everytime you use bluetooth device in your car.
Hi
I have written a mortscript which automatically switches the audio on my O2 Orbit (WM6) to my bluetooth car kit when it detects it, it then plays a sound to confirm that the sound has switched over - it also start TT if power is detected. When it looses the bluetooth connection sound is returned to the handset and a "disconnected" wav is played. Now this works fine as long as the device is awake but not when in standby. So I would like to find a way of waking the device up when it first gets a bluetooth connection and then again when it looses it. I have looked at adding something to the notification queue using memmaid but I can't see any bluetooth actions there.
Can anyone help me??
anyone?????????????
I have a jade working with a BT110 it answers the call fine but after the call the headset apears to turn off which it is supposed to do but the phone thinks that it is still connected so you have to turn soft reset the phone before you can make/recive a call and hear it via the handset.
has anyone else had this problem or could it possibly be the headset rather than the phone?

My experience - I use Jabra BT. The BT does not switch off after call is disconnected, until you switch it off. And the phone always thinks that BT is on (even when the BT set is switched off) until BT is disabled using the comm function.
I tried another Jabra headset last night, and although slightly better behaved it still didn't release the phone when turned off?
does anyone use a BT headset with the jade that works properly? what are peoples experiances.
anyone know what it is about the jade that makes it not work right?
