Hi, 2 days ago my Touch HD stopped connecting to my GSM network, it has worked fine until then. I can get a Data connection but i cant call anyone or send/recive SMS. Ive tryed hard reset and replacing different roms several times and still nothing...
Ive also tryed to mess with the network settings, put network band on auto etc. That solved the problem temporary, but after some hours the connection went away, again.
When i try to re-do the settings nothing happens...
Current band settings are Network Type: GSM, Frequency: Auto.
Has anyone experienced this problem?

As of sometime this past weekend (March 10/11) my GPRS data connection suddenly stopped working. I am using an old AT&T SIM card, connecting using the same AT&T GPRS connection that I have used successfully for a couple of years already - and for about 2 months on the Trinity.
Now when I try to connect, I get the message ""the answering modem has disconnected". I have been though all alternative (Cingular) GPRS settings without any difference and ATT/Cingular assures me that nothing has changed on my account. I have done soft resets, full resets, etc., but I just can't get reconnected. The phone works fine. Any ideas?
Yesterday my phone started saying no network.
I found out that this happens if I have the phone set to auto under 3G setting in the communication panel.
If I set the mode to GSM the phone has network no problems. But if it is not to gsm the phone will not get any network.
I have done both soft and hard reset.
Any one has any experience with this ?
my 3g isn't connecting at all now.. not showing the 3g sign in the notification, and not able to connect to anything.. I downloaded this app called "Toggle Data Widget" after a bit i figure i didn't have much use for it, i unistalled it... now im stuck with this situation... anybody help?
Have you checked your network settings? in wireless is it set to gsm only? need to set it to gsm and wcdma preferred. Also check you have an entry under apn settings.

yea i have it set to gsm and wcdma preferred, but i just noticed that it took off my username and password under my apn settings, anybody with rogers wanna share their settings for me
nvm figured it out... just hit the default settings and it works now
I have somewhat the same problem. I installed Juicedefender today, and found out that after disabling 3G, getting the 3G connection back is problematic. I tried and deinstalled all apps which had APN control. Now I'm left with a 3G connection which is very hard to find, even planemode and reboots don't work initially. After going trough the MMS and mobile network (don't know if it's the correct translation, I have a Dutch version) settings, I sometimes randomly get a 3G connection, and then it stays on as long as I don;t disconnect it. and the 3G speed also seems allright its just when I manually disable it, getting it back is a huge pain.
Any idea how I can fix this, or at least measure the 3G reception ?
Hi, about 20 days ago my Touch HD stopped connecting to my GSM network, it has worked fine until then. I can get a Data connection but i cant call anyone or send/recive SMS.Ive tryed hard reset and replacing different roms several times and still nothing...
Lately I've been having serious trouble connecting to Wifi networks. This occurs both on my workplace network and home network. I have tried resetting my Network Config, but this didn't fix anything. The only thing I've found that will allow me to connect to Wifi is to restart the device - but I have to do this every time I want to connect to a different Wifi network than I was connected to previously.
One strange thing that happens with this is that when I disable Wifi - whether it be via quick settings or in settings - it doesn't actually disable Wifi. The toggle switches to off, but I'm still able to see nearby Wifi networks. The only way to fully disable Wifi is to enable Airplane Mode.
This has been happening recently since I performed a Factory Reset, flashed the latest factory image, and rooted.
Anyway, any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
UPDATE: Looks like switching from Automatic Wi-F- frequency band to 2.4 GHz fixes the issue, but that's not really ideal, as I prefer my 5 GHz network at home.
