Rom vs battery life? - G1 General

Hey guys, looking to find out which rom is best on battery life? I am using CyanogenMod 3.6.8.1 right now, and it's killing my battery as fast as I can charge it. Which ones seem to work best for saving the battery? thanks for the input!

not sure if cyan has removed the battery on the lockscreen on 3.6.8.1 but on his newer bulids on (3.9.7) he has removed the battery icon fromm the lockscreen and i must say the battery life has increased...i say go with his new build to save some battery power

I did, I flashed about an hour ago, so far doing better

I feel that 3.9.7 was eating more batter than 3.6.8.1 i went back to 3.6.8.1

battery conditioning

any tips for battery conditioning, my battery life is a joke.

Im currently using shaminix 2.2 lite rom. I get amazing battery life. with normal use over a standard 16 hour day my battery life is at no less than 70% before I charge it at night.
I also use the 1.38 radio that may make the most difference. Good luck the Herm is a battery hungry beast.
Is that with Push mail ON?
Yep I have it set to download 4 accounts every two hours. With all notifications turned off though.
My Good Freind, install the attached file, but will have a small effect on the stability, Thanks to It's Right
if you want to read more, go to TNT.SE Rom, and read about it....

Fast Battery Drain

I have an extended battery (1500mah) vs the OEM 1300mah. I run MIUI and Incredikernel. I was getting good battery life. My phone was lasting all day up until the about 2 weeks ago. I havent changed ROM's or kernels for well over a month.
My battery now on a good day will go 10 hours or so and be totally drained.
Just wondering what it could possibly be? The only thing I can think of is I added PlayerPro and have a widget on one screen and I put about 4-5Gbs of music on my SD Card. That is all I have changed.
Anyone have a clue? I may consider switching kernels.
Hard to say, but I would suspect a rogue app...have you tried system panel or watchdog to see how long apps run in the background?

[Q] Battery Drainage

Me and my wife we have MT4g mine I got it on Froyo her was on GB, I rooted mine and downgraded her. But I found that any custom rom on her the battery go out of charge in less than 1/2 a day. mine i ok with battery life I flashed 6 different Roms on both phones to compare the battery life mine is good her is out in no time. Any ideas appretiate your help
Switch batteries to see if her's is going bad?
I did that before and it's is the same.
She might be downloading an app that is draining the battery. Check to see what is using the most battery in settings.

Poor batter life

I changed from Note 3 to s 6 edge plus recently
The battery drops 5% per hour overnight when not in use. If I go to bed with less than 40% battery at night I am sure to wake up with my phone switched off in the morning.
When in use with screen on, the battery drips one percent every two minutes. This is the worst battery life I have ever seen in a phone. I was a long loyal customer of samsung and this is my last samsung phone ever.
Extremely disappointed
Please post your battery stats ? so we can have a better understanding of your problem. I suggest you install 'Doze' which should stop unnecessary apps from connecting to the internet and causing your phone to awake from deep sleep.
Dear Akbar 11
Heres the battery stats....is it normal?
I had the same issue, and as far as I managed to find out, it is a bug in Samsung's kernel. Flashing Arter97 kernel solved the issue for, but do post battery stats from SmartManager. If it says 'Android' or 'Android OS', then you have the same problem many of us do.
I don't think it's a kernel problem. My android OS is very low 4%. Like zoolok said post your battery stats from settings, battery, battery usage
I have the same problem. Battery was great before I flash custom rom. After going back to stock I have big battery draining. I must stay on custom rom. With Audax rom and Skyhigh kernel i have great battery life.
You have either messed up something big or you have an app in the background that is eating up your battery like no tomorrow.
And the reason i say that is because i recently got this battery life on my Galaxy S6 edge+.
And this was taken 2 days ago.
Here i use the CRISSCROSS ROM, AudaxPro Kernel, Greeinify and Samsung's own 'Appoptimizing' feature (same as Doze in Android 6.0).
So my battery life is pretty awesome.
i have problem whit battery lose 25% when i sleep
This is a usual day with s6 edge plus

i have this problem battery ... if u fixed it tell me how?
Well I was expecting Google Play Services to be eating your battery (which is quite common) but it looks like your Andriod OS is eating the most battery. I would uninstall Facebook and use the web version it always helps with the ram and battery furthermore, turn off location if you are not using it and check accounts which are being synced. These are the only tips I can give you as I have never seen Android OS drain so much battery.
Since a few days Google Play Store is eating up my battery: I go to sleep with 100% batt and wake up with 50%, if I check batt stats on top I have play store at 45%, with 5h active a d 2h of CPU.
Follows Android system at 5%.
Going crazy why...

You've charged your phone 4 times during that day. I can't see what's the interesting part here.

How best to calibrate a new extened battery for the Note 4?

I recently bought an extended 7500mAH battery for my Note 4 running RR 6.2 version AOSP ROM with their custom kernel. I am wondering how best to re-calibrate my ROM readings of the battery capacity. I have charged the battery to 100% and used an opensource battery calibration app on F-Droid. Is that enough? I find the battery isn't lasting well enough. Just getting 3.5 hours of screen on time now. But that's double the screen on time I got before this.
Is there a best way to re-calibrate my ROM for the new battery?
