I've just booted my 3 week old magic to a blank screen and a blue notification led. I've not loaded up any roms or attempted any form of hacking (as yet!). I've tried the back key + power but it won't even fastboot. I've tried on & off the charger and taken the battery out. Is this dead? Any help gratefully received as I think this is a fantastic phone.

First up - brilliant site here!!! I have spent the past couple of weeks reading up on the jasjam-dopod838pro-tytn etc and all the mods that can be done to the phone.
Now down to question - I have got a jasjam with the classic "white screen of death on bootup". I have tried reseting the cable and reinforcing the dpad as suggested in some of the treads here but with no success
The phone itself is a stock standard jasjam with telstra image which I picked up on ebay. THe phone itself still had the void sticker on it and booted up once when I put in a brand new battery so I think I can rule out corrupt image and battery. If I leave the phone on after booting, it stays white but it gives a "ting" sound after thirty seconds and the screen will go back and turn on again after each press of the power button.
Any suggestions would be great as I have run out of ideas!!! I would really like to get this phone up and running especially after reading all the cool stuff you can do with it on the site

First of all, hi to all of you.
Me being a noob with the Nexus, something VERY messed up has just happened to me.
Let me explain from the beginning:
I received the nexus yesterday as a gift from a friend of mine who works at Google (yes, it is the one with the android waving a banner on the back of the phone)
Used it yesterday perfectly, even updated to 2.1.update perfectly fine.
Today, as the batter was dying out, I finally got home and started to charge it (the battery icon was white, with a red outline and a red slash across the battery icon)
Then, the Nexus stopped responding and turned off.
When I tried to turn it back on, it just stays on the boot screen and does nothing.
Now, I have tried the volume down + power button to get to the reset, chose "recovery" and it went right back to the frozen boot screen.
To my knowledge, it is not rooted (although I have read that the Nexus' that employees receive are rooted, I have no idea)
Now, I am stuck with a Nexus paperweight , it doesn't turn on and cant seem to get it out of the boot screen.
Any one here can lend a hand???
P.S. I hope I posted in the correct forum and want to thank anyone that can help ahead of time!
Update:
I did the volume down + trackball + power on thingy and I connected the Nexus to my laptop.
It comes out FASTBOOT USB in red, so it seems it is not totally bricked.
Found the USB drivers and...that's where I am stuck.
I know there is a way to recuperate the Nexus, but I have no idea how...any ideas?

Change various roms but when you upgrade the radio is ****ed.
Already tested with: home + power (with and without sim memory and target)
back + power
up / down + power
No start-up in the booloader or anything, or logos or anything, aver if you can help me?

LED does not light or when I connect to pc!

Is there any chance that your battery is just completely flat?
Tell us exactly what happened before it "bricked"
Try booting with home+back+power all at same time.

and no longer returned to start or turn on the LEDs.

Was it a wrong radio flashed, or did you maybe pull the battery during the phone and box screen?
I had the same thing sorry to say but it's definatley bricked, got mine fixed tho send it back to HTC telling them it ran out of battery when updating to the 2.1 update, they'll send it back with a completley new board so you'll have to root again and next time make sure you dont pull the battery out when updating your radio Hope i helped

i tried to flash my Acer S200 but it stopped by 50% and i have pluged the cable out. I cant turn it on, it gives no signal, i cant bring it to the download mode. Nothing is working no hardreset with buttons.Nothing is working and when i plug it to usb the LED isnt blinking

Hold volume up/vol down button + reset until you see "clean boot"
i tried it the phone gives no signal .. no clean boot is coming .. the rom flashing was at 50% i think it is breaked

did you try removing then replacing the battery. then try bootloader mode again?
yes i tried but nothing is working i cant enter the bootloader nothing is working it is just off no vibration nothin is working

at the same time until blinking red light starts?
you have to get into bootloader mode then flash a custom rom
brainmaster has a few including a "clean" rom.
I had this happen awhile ago and tried so many things for 2 days that now I don't
remember what actually worked! But I don't think that your S200 is bricked.
Also, make sure that you keep the power cable pluuged in (not usb)
you need a good charge even if you don't see the green light.
just keep trying and if I can remember I let you know.

Hi. I kind of found myself in the same situation. My acer s200 is unresponsive, no blinking lights no matter key/reset combinations. Had been in the middle of flashing on a new ROM when it got accidentally disconnected.
Any possible solution? Already checked the battery out in a different phone and it's fine and charged.

i don't want to looks like a vultur, but if some of you can't find a solution to resolve the problem you have, I'm interested by the device because I need some piece. Of course I hope you can resolve your problem but if there are no led blinking, the last possibility is to send it to acer, and if you don't want to wait/pay/or whatever to with the acer support, I'm interested by your device.

Hey GarcoG. Yes, still in need of help. My S200 is currently a desktop paperweight at home. It's a beautiful paperweight but it was made for so much more. Would really like to get it up and running again.
A new thing I noticed. I'm able to charge my phone's battery to full on my friend's s200. Of course when I put it back into my phone, it's still completely unresposive. However, I noticed that whenever I put it back into my friend's phone, the charge on it has reduced. I'm pretty sure it's not a battery issue I have since my phone is still unresponsive with my friend's battery in it and the same happens with that battery as well.
Would really appreciate any ideas on fixing this.

Really funny about that matte screen protector. Cannot wait for the results. In my case, phone got accidentally connected just as it had reached the stage of flashing on the new ROM. Was thinking it was probably unresponsive because the ROM instructions that enable it respond to key combinations are absent hence cant get it into Bootloader mode.

I have Huawei nova 3i, the battery has been in a bad condition for more than 4 months, and each day I noticed it had less life and a hot phone each time I charge it, one day I left it to charge and I swear it was for less than an hour I found the logo in my face, and it was stuck, I went yesterday after trying every possible way for a week of pressing power + vol down and power + vol up ( the first one made the phone keep booting again and again with the logo,and the second one made it keep vibrate with a black screen)
I let the battery drain and came back to pressing but the only thing came was the red battery meaning no power and red led light, so I got back on charger and repeated the above and nothing new came to light.
I took it to a tec center and someone said it might be battery, unfortunately I changed it for a high price and it didn't work after the change, still the exect same, I went home tried to enter erecovery multiple times but I never can, and I plugged it in a PC then a screen came to light, with the android bot and words saying in green

I forgot to mention that at the tec center they told me that it will need a box flash, something like miracle box maybe?
