Howdy,
I have seen all of the threads on the subject, and seen the proggy, and know the sensitivity around all this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=289523
However, it obviously makes sense for someone to cook it so that the iphone looking front end is cooked into a good rom with the stability of a
schraps, or a black satin, etc.
I have tried setting it up separately, but I am a newbie, and have bricked 1 hermes already trying reset it after I screwed it up.
Has this not happened because of the sensitivity on the matter or something else?
Again looking for rom load that uses the apple looking screen already cooked to a rom for a hermes (HTC wm6)
Thanks in advance
obiviously I am referring to the fornt end picture per this url
http://mobilecrunch.com/wp-content/iPhone1.jpg
Claunch is a today plugin that launches applications. Why do you need it cooked in ?! What you're showing in your picture is a regular iPhone. What are you talking about exactly ?
Making the hermes look like an iphone
sorry
What I was trying to say is that they have the skins now to make the hermes (or I guess any wm6 phone) look like an iphone.
But I find the apps/skins not the easiest thing to use/get right/tweak.
Launch on start up etc.
So what I was trying to spit out was has anyone cooked the proggy/skin that does this into a rom so it doesn't to be tweaked.
cheers
I dont understand why this Iphone home screen suppose to be such good think.
The most important thinks that I need in my first look would be my appointments, outstanding task etc. Iphone screen just provides shortcuts for some applications. Well I may not get really what is it about.
Anyhow you can do such thing without any issues and any special rom. what you need is the Iphone icons (I am sure there are hundreds in the web) then the wisbar advance Desktop.
Iphone looking launch screen
Thanks Bulldog.
Love it or hate it, the simplicity of the iphone, skin, is it is good looking and functional.
It is also the benchmark that all other phones will be measured against for a long time (as the phone has not arrived outside the US yet).
Thanks for your tip but wisbar is not quite slick enough.
There are others but they too are not quite right.
I am sure someone has cooked it all in one.
It wouldn't be worth cooking claunch into rom. It's a tiny app, and the pleasure of it is customising it to launch the apps you want to launch.
I've written several guides for claunch, hunt around. But it's a simple app.
What might be useful is if someone makes an all-in-one iphone-alike pack. And those probably do exist. Burning claunch into ROM wouldn't be very helpful.

Hi, I'm a proud owner of a Sony Ericsson X1, and the developer of XperiaTweak (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=440035).
You can see the features of this application if you go to my website:
http://www.cliffords.nu
I've recieved some E-mails from people who are trying to use this application on a TouchHD, but that will currently fail (since it's developed for the X1), so I'm just wondering if there's any interest here for a special TouchHDTweak - version of my application? I don't have a TouchHD myself, but if there's enough interest I can try and develop a version for TouchHD and maybe get some help here when it comes to beta-testing it.
I think you would be a star in all our eyes for developing a version for HD. Please do go ahead. I know I will speak for all owners.
I would be very interested.
Would be very interested here too I'm sure there are a whole host of things to unlock about the HD architecture
I would love a TouchHD tweak! Right now I'd using Schap's Advanced Configuration tool 3.3 and the Diamondtweak program.
I really wish the ROM guys would get cooking too.
+1 please
HD tweak would be great!
Not to decry this generous offer from someone who has already been instrumental in what appears to be a successful porting of Panels from the Xperia, but i think before putting nelshh to a shed-load of extra work we should check to make sure the functionality he is proposing isn't already available in exisiting apps.
I haven't done anything more than a cursory assessment, but it looks like a number of the features of the Xperia Tweak are already available through existing TF3D and Diamond Configurators that mostly work fine on the HD. For example, some of what I spotted on the Xperia Tweak site is in Advanced Configurator. Other elements may not be appropriate to the HD.
So personally, i would suggest caution and that someone with a little more time than I have right now looks to compare the Xperia Tweak tool with exisiting tools.
Nelshh, do you have a complete feature list for your Tweak?
iain.fraser: you're absolutely right, There's some different apps that already does what my application is doing and more, but the idea behind my application is basically simplicity, such as a small number of the most asked for tweaks, and in addition device specific tweaks (such as the LED and Panel-tweaks for X1). And I'd be more than happy to write something for the TouchHD! If there's interest and if it finds it's own place amongst the other tools.
Really Interested too and I can help you (as soon as I've got the device) with the testing!
+1, It would be nice to have this at HD.
Tweak Away!
Your the man TweakMaster!!

If in light of my earlier comments you are still up for tackling the project, put me down as a possible tester
how many +'s are we allowed to give I would give +100 if my vote counts that many times
i'm in.
if you can make the LEDs work like the way X1 worked, you will be my god!
Tweak! Twaek! Tweak!
Sure I would appreciate such a project!!

I have a question - request. Have it for years now....
I hate the power off button.

To wake up the device i just want to touch the screen or double click or touch the home button and wake up the device but not the F**** power button. Can this be done? Please?????
I use gsen and i can poweroff the screen and etc.
I see absolutely no reason not to

what do you guys think?
The dashwire online service is not my favorite.. tried it without panel.. but don't think it will get much better with panel.
But that's just me.. I don't like all my stuff to be online.
The best panels (car and skype) are not available till 31st of march !!
which is a shame
glad to see something (small) is happening..
The on the road panel will be great for frequent travelers like myself. The CNN panel should be good as well. I'm downloading the Point UI panel right now. Not much interested in the Skype panel. Its good to see new panels being developed though.
Great, I'm really looking forward to the "on the road" panel, that's very nice, some simple GPS infos, maybe the CNN Panel is nice too
I had CNN panel on one of my prototype X1 but I have updated rom last time and didn't backup it :/ There was also different Google panel with your customized google page. Maybe this panels are available in any of previous prototype roms.
Glad to see Sony Ericsson is actually pushing the panels out, I was afraid that the panel will be an abandoned project as soon Experia is mainstreamed, but turns out my fear is demolished by this news.
Now, if only IMplus is available on panel form, I'll be completely all over it...

Jade Clone Owner - ronp76
Hello, my user name is ronp76 and I am a proud owner of a Jade Clone. I bought my phone one month ago on eBay and like how I have modified it with iPhoneToday. You can see my homescreen in the pic next to my user name.
I started this thread called Customize your Jade Clone to advance Clone developments:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=581596
And, I know a thing or two about iGO8 as I was a Mod on another Forum. I tend to like all things GPS related. If you have a question about iGO8 on your Clone, perhaps we can start a thread on that too!
My user name is a combination of my first and last names. 76 holds a special place in my heart!!!
Where are the Clones? Send in the Clones. . .
. . .okay, I go away for a day and you guys all go gun shy on me! Over the weekend this had been a hot topic (as evidenced by the color of the envelope on the left side of the screen near the thread name).
Now it's cooled on and blue. Let's sign in please!
The hunt is on. . .
The hunt is on,
and not yet done.
One leg complete,
isn't that sweet?
Looking for something great?
I suggest iGO8

This is the place and glad to have you. It is nice that two other Jade Clone owners have signed in. Ideally, I'd like to see all of us sign in and give others some details on what kind of experiences they bring to our community. That way if you ever see another post by a fellow Clone owner, you could come back to this thread and look up that person to see or refresh your memory about their background.
You may also want to visit this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=581596
It is the main thread for us Jade Clone owners. BTW, you should be using the Thread Tools button to the upper right of the thread to add a subscription. Adding a subscription is like having a bookmark that when you click on will show unread posts and allow you to visit threads of interest to you.
i think that this is my first post since i know this awesome webpage... i began with a ipaq 3115, next i had, the 3715, next the 6315 (my first phone with WM), i changed to an O2 Atom (i loved it, stolen), next an HTC touch (elf)... stolen too, another elf... and now if got this Jade clone.... it is cool... it´s great... and cheaper than 3g in fact than Elf here in Colombia... I really like my Clone.

Good to have you onboard - your repair knowledge may come in very handy. On some of the different HTC sub Forums here, there are Wikis with how to dissassemble and repair phones. Since our Clones are most likely slightly different from the standard HTC Jade phone, your experience may lead to further knowledge along that line.
In several other threads here in the Jade sub Forums, other Clone owners have asked about replacing digitizers, GPS attennas and so forth. You might be able to take the lead on those questions if you're willing to experiment.
Slightly off topic - my brother bought a Blackstone Clone after seeing mine. Unfortunately his Clone did not come with a stand-alone charger which means the phone is the charger. We looked on eBay but as far as I can tell the Blackstone Cradle's charging posts are off about the width of its points. In the attached picture, you can see that contact points are in the utmost corner.
The Blackstone Clone's battery contact points would be to the left of the charger posts - we believe. I was wondering if a small bar could be placed between the points to make contact and allow the charging current to the battery. It would have to be a small sliver and heat resistant. Do you think something could be done and if so what would you recommend?
I'm waiting for my clone Touch 3G.
I'm in Canada.
I'm interested in topics such as Igo8/Amigo with the Touch3G, skin DimkaVert.

Wow, two Canadians in one day! I just answered a post in another xda Forum about a Canadian who is on Fido.
Take a look at this iGO8 thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=587989
iGO8 works on our Jade Clones. I should be done posting the game plan by Monday and can entertain questions there.
I should add that there were some major announcements on Wednesday 11/25 about the DimkaVert skin. D8389 (Dimka) has announced that he will no longer be developing the original skin. Instead he will make limited (Potentially untested) changes to the diMkaWertVRV base which may or may not flow through into the full diMkaWertVRV version at WertVRV's discretion. Megaduck posted that he will continue to work on his version with Specter. See:
http://www.igo8mods.com/dimka.htm
I don't use this skin as I prefer Gurjon 6p but I try to keep up on all things iGO8.
I don't even know if my clone will arrive before Xmas (sad).
I have Amigo on Magellan 3225.
I will spend more time on it when Igo9 arrive or new map of US/Canada arrive with more lane-guiding (right now, it's only in 3-4 MAJOR cities in Canada).

Hmmm, I don't think I've seen a Jade Clone called a EQU5238 before. I looked at your PDF and EQU5238 comes up searchable on the net. You've got a lot of extra software loaded on yours by the vendor. I like many of the SB titles as well as SK Tools and PHM Registry Editor.
Your SPB Shell program probably gives your Clone more of the TouchFlo 3D that many users buy their Clones for. I liked mine seeing that blue background with the analog clock and was disappointed that that theme was not automatically present.
Looks like you have yours tricked-out nicely!

Sintoo, how come so late? I've heard about delivery via a slow boat from China but Christmas seems really slow being almost 30 days away. Why the delay?
Hello Folks,
The HD2 is a hard Mistress to fall in love with.
It just takes soooo much customizing to unlock the true potential of this phone (why, oh why do the HTC folks keep pushing superior HW phones with castrated SW design onto the market???)
As part of my customizing I'm desperately trying to clean up HTC's desktop icon layout (by the way, after I flashed Tom's ROM many of the problems I kept getting [slow response times, missed responses, programs not starting,...] as soon as I had installed many a programs just went away like nothing).
Now there is that group of HTC_* icons on the Desktops for YouTube and other crap that is I really, really don't need.
But whenever I move them somewhere else, bang they're back as soon as I reboot - albeit now they are just "blank icons".
How can I get rid of them for good and save myself some screen space in the process?
Any hint appreciated.

Thankx, found it myself just 5 minutes ago.
Someone, please, force HTC to consult with XDA when they design their units...
It is pathetic that almost all the solutions to HTC problems & issues are to be found here, rather than in any official HTC help forum...
