Ringer volume and ringtone settings change by themselves - G1 General

Hi for some time i had this problem: the ringtone is reset to one of the default ones without me doing it. This started happening before Cupcake but then i thought that happens when the SD card is mounted. After i updated to Cupcake i decided to move the ringtone to the phone memory (i made it ogg too), but the problem still happens. Also recently i noticed that the ringing volume is going to zero from time to time, although that might be me grabbing the phone for the volume keys...
Has anyone experienced problems like these? I am tired of missing calls because of these problems...
I am using:
Baseband version: 62.50S.20.17H_2.22.19.26I
Kernel version: 2.6.27-00392-g8312baf [email protected] #1
Build number: dream_devphone-userdebug 1.5 CRB21 147201 test-keys
I know it's an old version but i don't like flashing my phone often...
Thank you for any help

Time Zone is not being set (manually have to keep setting)
Weather Location on HTC app does not show current location (just is blank)

If I nandroid back to my 1.5 all seems to work fine in regards to network location applications.

Looking through the google and more to see what I can find.
Build.Prop? I dont use airwave. and I am not getting any location info (not even the wrong location info)
Seems flipz mentions removing the htc Location service in 1.1:

Tried that.. no luck still not able to get a location lock

Back to thinking this is an issue with the Radio update and PRI
Anybody have a signed copy of netloc handy?
It was the PRI.. got it reset and everything is working again.

[HELP]Outgoing call (dialling out) Loud speaker volume on ICS ROM

HI,
I already search for solution and tried different kernels with no luck, (in CM7 I fixed it flashing dorimanx kernel) if you can help I’ll appreciate.
Problem:
- Outgoing (dialling out) volume defaults to the maximum. The work around is to either hit the volume + or - or turn the speaker phone on and off quickly during a outgoing to force the device to pick up the preset volume
Found this for GB but rom doesn’t boot

I already had confirmation that’s not a common (all users) bug, BUT I’m also sure that we are not alone.
Patience is the best remedy for now
Got it also
Sent from my NexusHD2 using xda app-developers app
the phone acts different if it's a incoming or outgoing call, in incoming call it starts with rear speaker for ringing and then when we accept call it pass on front speaker to talk. that’s why on incoming we don’t have the problem, it fixed it automatically the same way we do on outgoing calls by activating and deactivating rear speaker.
a quick solution would be a script that makes the phone always initiate a call with rear speaker and after answer pass to front speaker
sorry for my poor English

In GB this bug was fixed by replacing libaudio.so but ICS doesn’t have this file.
Maybe we could fix this issue by replacing the correspondent file in ICS if some one could tells us witch one acts the same way in ICS as libaudio.so in GB
same issue
Hi all, is there solution for this issue, please?
When call push Up Volume button and after Down Volume button

Games not going into landscape mode so I can play them.

Ok I recently rooted my Kindle Fire and installed ICS, this is my info:
Model number: Amazon Kindle Fire
Android version: 4.0.4
Kernel version: 3.0.21+
[email protected] #23
SMP PREEMPT Sat Apr 28 01:19:39 PDT 2012
Build number: IMM76D
Mod version: aokp_otter_build-M5
Ok so I am loving it and everything works great but after buying and installing Order & Chaos I was getting this error:
"We are having trouble identifying your device. Our support teams automatically received information about your phone and are trying to solve the issue for you. You can try to launch the game again in 48h or, alternatively, you can contact our support team directly: [email protected]."
I was then told by member Stage to edit my build prop to something that is compatible with the game. I found another thread talking about editing the build.prop and edited mine (after making a back-up) to:
Ro.product.device=cdma_solana
Ro.product.model=DROID3
Ro.product.brand=verizon
Ro.product.name=solana_vzw
Ro.product.board=solana
Ro.product.manufacturer=motorola
Ro.build.fingerprint=verizon/solana_vzw/cdma_solana:2.3.4/5.5.1_84_D3G-20_TA-9/110613:user/release-keys
After a reboot it downloaded the additional data and ran but it is locked in portrait mode and half the screen is off the screen. I tried out other games and they all do the same. I checking both system settings and trebuchet settings and auto-rotate screen is check in both. I unchecked and tried it and the same, I checked again and it is still staying in portrait mode.
Thinking the DROID3 settings are messing it up I restored the back-up build.prop and verified all my original Amazon Kindle Fire information is back but it is still doing the same thing.
How do I fix this so that the games go into landscape again? I have rebooted about five times.
Ok wow, I figured it out but not sure why it was doing it in the first place. To fix it I started the game and then went into the system settings from there and toggled the auto-rotate option and now they are all working right. What caused this?

Samsung galaxy core 2 duos SM-G355H storage problem

Hello,
I have a problem with Samsung SM-G355h.
When I enter in settings/storage or in any application details, system can't calculate how much storage that application occupies or any oder memory space beside available space (there's just calculate... where space amount should be). Besides that I can install apps but can't uninstall them (uninstalling is working but never finishes), there is no error massages. After a while phone just restarts.
I tried following things:
- wipe data and cash, reset to factory settings;
- I used Odin to install newer and older firmware (official);
but it is always the same.
Phone isn't rooted and has no custom rom in it.
If someone has idea what I can do more, his suggestion will be most welcome.
Phone software specifications:
Android version: 4.4.2
Baseband version: G355HXXU0AOB3
Kernel version: 3.10.17-5115844 [email protected] #2 Thu Jan 5 21:10:36 KST 2017

In-call headphone and headset volume too loud

I have tried several roms. AEX woivod 8.1, crdroid difr 8.1, frankenROM 8.1 etc. The in-call volume is very very loud in headset and headphones. Increased the steps but that didnt bring down the minimal volume which is way too high. I tried jasper custom kernal and decreased the headphone gain in sound but that brought down the media gain and the ringing gain levels. It does not get solved by clean flash or even after full internal storage wipe. This is present throughout all custom roms I think. Someone suggested editing mixer_* files in /system/vendor/etc. There are too many of these files and I dont know which values to edit to lower in-call volume.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Someone please help!!!!! I did a recovery to my original miui backup but the problem is still there. I dont mind losing data. Im willing to do any type of clean install to solve this. I just want this bug to go away. Should I change the firmware?

Facing this problem too. I've tried patch as well as editing values in vendor. None seems to work.
So i just have to avoid talking on headphones as of now.

Have you tried stable Nougat ROMS? I would like to know if the problem is there in nougat or not. Is there no other way to solve this?
try out difr's patch and see if it works (its for 8.1 oreo ROMs)

I tried it bro..... No use....I even tried it on his crdroid build... Thank you so much for responding.
Hey ShadeOfLight,
I have the same problem with too high headset in-call-volume in havoc rom.
Thats pretty annoying...
But I found a solution for the problem that worked for me:
You need tasker and Kernel Auditor for this.
In Kernel Auditor you create two profiles: One with low volume in sound option for calls (I choose value -8) and one with normal volume (value 0) for music.
Now save them under different names. I named them "low volume" and "normal volume".
In Tasker you create two tasks with the Kernel Auditor plugin:
1. "low volume"-Kernel Auditor profile
2. wait (10s) -> "normal volume"
Now go to "profiles" in tasker and create a new profile with the state "Call" (choose any) under phone states.
Define "low volume"-task for the new profil and the "normal volume"-task as exit-task.
This worked for me. During calls I can use my headset again and can listen to music normally.
Maybe this will work for you too.
Best regards
