I'm having a typical problem with wifi. I can't turn on wifi radio under wm6.5. But no problem at all under wm61. I tried different rom but same result!
What do you think is it a driver issue or something else?
Appreciate your advice.

I have used Dutty's 6.5 ROMs and it works fine for me there as well. Have you tried Miri's and/or other 6.5 roms too? It also works fine there for me.

Yes, I tried Miri's and dozens of others but same behavior. wifi simply do not turn on. I initially thought it's a hw problem then I flashed back a stock rom. It works there also it works in every wm61 coocked build but not wm65.
Please shed some light...
I encountered exactly the same issue.
MY problem is, When I go to com manager, and on the wifi, its just the turning/ working icon and after that nothing happen. The wifi wont turn on, and when u got to wifi icon in the connection the turn on wifi wont be ticked. I hava tried a lot off rom and even back to original rom and spl all the same didnt change anything, but some times when I do a hard reset and soft reset it will be back, but some times wont work also.
is that a hardware failure or software?
if HW failure the wifi wont even turn on even a single time, but on my HD, some times it will be turned on and sometimes it wont.
Rather than trying to turn it on from the Connection Manager, have you guys tried to tick the box under Settings, Connections, Wi-Fi?
Not to point out the onvious but have you gone to Settings > Connections > wifi > wireless networks > network adaptors and changed this to 'The internet'?
@Fallen Spartan:
I tried every possible way but couldn't get succeed.
Finally I discovered that TNETW1251 driver itself giving this trouble. Driver simply don't respond. Then I converted the wifi driver to module, build the rom and that has fixed my annoying power on issue.
cheers

Excellent, glad you got this sorted.
Hopefully others will search and read your fix for this.

Hello. I have have a t-mobile mda with TNT4.0 Rom. I have set up t-mobile data connection as well as the proxy and internet works fine. However, if go into a no-reception area(subway, tunnel, etc) the data/voice obviously disconnects. When I'm in the clear again the voice bars show up but where I typically see E (EDGE) I see an "x" as if there is no data connection available. If I soft reset the data connection is there. Until I soft reset, there seems nothing I can do to fix the data connection. I go to connection settings, tap on the modem and click "connect" but nothing happens.
When I click "sync" in ActiveSync, it starts to sync and then stops after a few seconds and says "waiting for network".
Is anyone experiencing the same problem? any way to fix that? WHen I had T-Mobile ROM, I did not have this issue.
Sometimes things like that dissappear if you just flash the same ROM over the top of the one you're using. You don't list what radio rom your using, but it might be that too. You should probably start by flashing a new radio rom, either 2.19 or 2.69 since they seem to work the best with WM6 and then reflash TNT 4.0 if one of the radios doesn't fix it.
i had exactly the same problem (G/E sign visible..internet working but after a while X sign and i had to reset or turn the phone feature off and on to get it working again) when i was using other WM6 roms and it was so annoying that i planned to move back to WM5 but thanks to Orhan (he had the same problem) now its fixed.
for some strange reason, the only solution is to use NBD ROM and your problem will be solved. im using NBD 8.1 (without touch. after the ROM you can choose to install touch or soft reset it after setup to get a vanilla wm6 o/s) and its extremely fast and stable.

hope this helps.

No problem, glad I could help.
Hi, I've been having some issues with HTC Sense on the Leo i bought a couple of weeks ago, Although this was fine at first this is now crashing every-time i try and use the quick link tabs. Occasionally this fails to restart altogether and displays; cannot re-start HTC Sense, click here to continue. The only way to re-start Sense at this point is a soft reset. The handset is suffering from regular freezing issues and black screen problems.
I was using the Axlor 6.1 ROM with the radio Radio 2.07.50.27_2. I tried a hard re-set but the problem persisted. I've flashing the Artemis 4.0 ROM and flashing to a different radio 2.08.50.08 however the problem persists with the new ROMS and radio I've tried. I've flashed back to Axlor at the moment. I've done some searches without any definitive answer. Anyone any ideas why this might be happening?
If you have flashed several different roms and are getting instability go have a read of the mtty thread
Will have a look at the MTTY, thanks for the advice.
Edit, handset has completely packed in, it boots to the home screen and then freezes. A bit worrying.

i get that issue sometimes as well.. i found it worked ok after i made sure the in car bluetooth was automatically allowed to connect to anything it needs.. followed by a soft reset.. should only be the once though
Ok this is interesting. I had never had this problem but now I have flashed to Flashmores latest and the ROM is great and fast (and yes I did hard reset after flashing) but now I have this problem.
When I'm in a call none of the touch keys work. Cant access the keypad or anything. Really annoying.
I have to use the hard key to kill the call.
Any thoughts?
Oh and I dont have a bluetooth headset!
GG
It's independent on Bluetooth and same problem is with hardware- and software- keys (buttons).
I have the same problem...Which ROM versions do you have? mine problems started after flashing ROMs from TMOUS...so versions 1.7 to 2.10...I will revert back to older ROMs...
I think this problem was also in stock ROM about 1.42..
Hi guys,
For those problems, I advice you to do these steps in order whenever you want to flash a ROM (stock, shipped, cooked ROM). If you want the stable ROM for daily usage... just flash the shipped ROM
-Choose Clear Storage in you current ROM.
-Take out your SD card and Format it by (FAT32)
-Connect your Device to PC and do a MTTY... You can read this for more details (do it in careful way)
-Then Flash the Shipped ROM 1.66 I suggest the 1.66.405.2 WWE.
-Do not hard reset after flash... I mean let your device through the "Customization" first then just skip all setting and Reset the device. While the device is getting reboot... Do a hard reset
-Setting up all things.
Hope this help
it doesn`t work I think this problem is according to radio ROM. I will flash another...
i had this problem yesterday and have fixed it
ceratin roms are only compatible with certain radios
for example yesterday i installed SONE 2.5 and i couldnt make calls, it would freeze
i looked at the ROM requirements and i was using a radio not supported by the ROM
simply change the radio respectively to the ROM
This problem, which I'm describing, is something other. RADIO patch is okay (I think), but phone is "slow" during phonecall and phonecall cannot be hanged out..
Hi, guys!
I have a problem with my HTC HD2 WiFi. I've already installed more than 20 different ROM and still, I have the same problem:
When I'm turning on the Wifi, it's stuck on "Wi-Fi Scanning" and no networks on the list.
Worked fine on WM
Also, I've reinstalled many many ROMs, made repartition and reinstalled the whole thing from the beginning a couple of times (Task29, Radio...)
And updated the drivers for the wifi
I can't find solution for that thing.
Please help!

Check my signature. I don't know what ROM's you have flashed but if you experience the issues on mine then I can help you more easily.
I tried using cLK this morning in combination with several ROMS, but I cannot seem to get the mobile internet working.
ROMS tested:
- MIUI (official) with Tytung r14 kernel
- Mwakious Nightmare (cLK version)
- Dorimanx ROM
Everything works fine, but it just doesn't seem to fire up the mobile internet connection at all. I know cLK works with PPP, but could it be, that my phone operator doesn't support this somehow? The APN settings are in order and I even deleted the APN and manually added it again. It just doesn't connect.
Is there a reasonable explenation for this? MAGLDR does not give any problem at all.
Thanks in advance.
Wow...nobody?
Lack of response is usually because no one else is seeing the issue you're reporting. Did you also post this issue in the cLK thread?
Have you tried either of the following?
1. Reboot the phone after changing the APN settings.
2. Turn off the radio (go to airplane more) and turn it on again.
Data disconnect with cLK is a well known phenomena (seems to be both hardware and operator dependent).

I did, and then I started to doubt myself if I was asking the question in the right section of the forum , so I posted it here as wel.
In regards to your tricks, unfortunately that didn't work. Though I thank you for your response. I'll try again this weekend, as I am using this phone for work as well ;-)

I m using hyperdroid v6 rom with clk1.4, recovery 4 and having no data issues till yet
Though ppp is unstable in nature and data drops happen...yet most of the times it works
I had issues when i used radio 2.15 or 2.14 or any other radio..... it was only radio 2.12 which made mobile internet quite usable
So i suggest that u must try radio 2.12 with clk... if it doesn't work...try the latest hyperdroid build... hopefully ur data issues might get solved
If u hav TMOUS HD2, use radio 2.07.50 and for EU HD2 usec2.12.50
