Hi everyone, I'm new in this world I came from Nokia & Symbian,,feel a bit worried about my brand new HTC Diamond Touch cause I can't transfer any file from-to any device. I can connect and pair the Phone to any other device (phone or PC) but I can't transfer any data...
I was reading but I don;t know if upgrading the Rado will solve this issue or if it is just a configuration problem.
How can I begin debugging the problem?
Best Regards
settings-connections-Beam have to be set to autorecieve all incomming beams to recieve filers over bluetooth

Hi guys. I've been trying my bluetooth today on my Hermes (a Dopod 838pro, a HERM100 model). Interestingly I cannot send or receive any files, or contacts, even though to/from another PPC. Anyone experiencing this problem? But BT headset no problem.
Hi, I had same problem until I realised that I hadn't ticked the 'Receive all incoming beams' box in the >'settings'>'connections'>'beam' section.
Did you check this? (sometimes it is easy to overlook the obvious)
Isn't that only for IrDA beams though? Or does it also affect BT "beams?" (I've always wondered why Microsoft decided to call something that is in the heart a radio signal a "beam")
I used to think it only related to IR as well but Beam as far as WM 5.0 is concerned, relates to bluetooth and IR.
Yeah, that confused me too... Similarly, if you tap 'n hold on any file and click Beam File... You can send via Bluetooth from that menu too.
I wish they'd renamed it to something other than Beam File, it gets confusing if you've ever owned more than one WM device
As the topic says, I can't receive any files using bluetooth from another device. I can send any files to another devices with my o2 mini. My phone name is found on another device, but when I tried to send the file, it failed.
I just got my 2nd hand o2 mini, so I'm clueless. I've tried to install new ms bluetooth stack found in this forum, but still doesn't work.
And I'm also got a problem using activesync via bluetooth, using usb cable the active sync works fine.
I also have this problem, I can't receive files from other phones either! And like you I have installed the new bluetooth stack (aka bluetooth stock) from on this forum.
Yesterday somehow I managed to receive files via bluetooth from other phone (In this case it was nokia N70). But I need to pair the phone first.
EDIT:
I can't receive any files from BT equipped computer, altough I managed to get it succesfully paired. Very strange, my phone can receive files from N70 but not from my PC
Good news, now I can receive any files from any paired devices. I just upgrade the ROM & Radio to version 13 from 12, and now it works.
Hmm.. now it's time to search on how to remove i-mobile branding
goto Settings-> Connections -> Beam
and check if the "Receive all incoming beams" is marked...
Thanks a lot pal, this has resolved my problems.

My friends,
I have the 3600 , latest official WM5 updtae and i have a problem with Bluetooth connections. Even if i have activated the "discoverable" options , some devices, (phones , hands free..) can not find my device or they find it but can not recognize his operations. For example i have a MP3 player with bluetooth and it can see as device but not as phone to operate as hands free. I have also the HTC touch which works perfect. I don't know if someone has same problems and had solved them, but i need some help.

Hello!
I would appreciate if someone could help me with one issue:
Couple of days I have encountered a problem first with synchronizing my Touch HD with the PC and then with Bluetooth itself. I've tried to reinstall the connection between the HD and the PC but it doesn't help. I also cannot receive files from other Bluetooth devices.
I've noticed that COM ports are missing in the Bluetooth settings on my HD and there is no button to add one.
Thanks in advance!
Same problem here!!!
Im having the same problems but i tried different radios and roms and now im lost with bluetooth function. i can send files but cannot receive them...it says sending failed...anyone with the same prb?
Hi,
I connect my phone with two hands-free devices in my and my wifes car, but often it doesn't connect automatically. When I connect then the phone via BT-settings then it connect without problems.
Now I found out that - when I change the car just the first time I have to connect by hand, next time it works automatically. So it seems that the phone tries to connect automatically only with the last used device. A bit annoying.
So my questions:
Can anybody confirm this behavior ? It is normal ?
Is it LG specific problem, or maybe only my phone ?
Or is it a general Android problem?
Thanks for your answers - regards
Odiad
