Touch HD conversation problem - Touch HD General

Hello All,
It's good to find online such a great and evolving community.
I hope that someone in here can help me solve the issue that I have.
When I start a call, or a receive a call, sometimes the person I talk to says that they hear me very badly and it's droping, whileas I am hearing them crystal clear.
The problem was there still with the original 1.14 SPL and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Stock WWE.
Now I have upgraded to Dutty's latest R7 WM6.5, hoping that the new Radio ROM can solve my issues but unfortunately this didn't happen.
The Carrier I am using is Globul Bulgaria, and I have disabled the 3G/HSDPA feature and currently operating only in GSM ( 900,1800MHz bands) mode hoping that this will improve the quality of the signal and thus provide me better talking experience.
The interesting thing is, that I am not experiencing this problem all the time. In some cells it's ok and in others it's not.
I was thinking to take my phone to the service center here in Bulgaria, but decided to ask here first if anyone has experienced the same problem in other GSM networks or even found a solution to it.
Thanks all for the time.
Regards,
Lyuben Bahtarliev

Same here, take a look at your serial number, and also see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=476139

Thanks for the guidelines.
Excuse me for double posting it was difficult to find the thread when searching.
The conclusion is that I will need to flash my phone to factory SPL, Radio ROM and Windows and get it for repair.
What a shame...

Post your Bugs/Issues for ROM upgrade 1.35

Thought I'd start a thread where people can post there issues/bugs on ROM upgrade 1.35 and it will also help people to make an informed decision before upgrading to this ROM.
I have now used this ROM on my SPV M3100 for over several weeks and the only issue I have is when using my 3 network USIM the voicemail speed dial 1 does not work even after going through the settings or registry the bizzare thing is I don't get this issue with other network SIM i.e. O2, Orange or T-Mobile.
P.S. before someone says I may have a faulty 3 USIM, I did not have this issue prior to this upgrade.
Is the 1.35 Rom different from?:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=294927&highlight=issues
The HTC ROM 1.35 is different from the cingular ROM 2.06, it's supposedly the most stable of the ROM upgrades or so they say!
I haven't any issue, Radio & ROM 1.35 ... i've read someone has problems with messaging service...
Using a Task Manager ONE TIME only i've seen the Messaging Service stopped, just a reboot.
now works well, bt, wifi & radio
and what happend, when you try to change the very first contact on sim? I had similar problem, but on old nokia phone, not windows nor symbian.

Would the HTC 1.35 ROm work on the Cingular 8525?
loud busy tone even if Phone is on loudness=0
i have some problems with this Radio 1.35.00.11. The thread is about that, isn´t it?
First of all my phone beeps loud out of the speaker at the back(the loud one for "free speaking") if the Person iam calling is not available (busy signal). Even if the Phone is turned to loudness 0! Iam not sure that the Radio Rom is responsible for that, because i reseted my vario2 completely. But iam sure that problem i never had before(with the german origninal Radio ROm).
*edit* iam currently reading that this is not a problem from the Radio Rom... The extRom may be responsible. Sorry!
But please help me the following Topic:short: is it possible to flash to an older RadioRom?
*/edit*
Because of that i wanted to flash the 1.27. Radio ROM to the Vario2. I took this one: ftp://xda:[email protected]_TMD-TMA_Radiopatch_1.27.00.00_107_GER.exe
The flashing procedure got complete without any error, but on the Vario iss still the 1.35.00.11! Isn´t it possible to flash to a older Rom Version?
Thanks for help!?

No this doesn't mean you have to throw your phone out. You just have to be a little more patient.
The people who use this forum aren't all from the same timezone and don't all have the ability to read this from work so it may take a couple of days to get a response.
I haven't done what you have some unable to help. Just don't get despondant that have you haven't had a response yet.
I've heard mixed reports of the 1.41 radio - some good and some bad. I tried 1.41 but eventually went back to the 1.38 radio because it is the most stable in many of the countries I work in. I didn't use the 1.41 radio in Poland but did have problems with it in Czech republic which is why I downgraded.
There are reports of dropped calls for this radio in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303378 so it may be a good idea for you to read through that.
Personally, I'd drop down to radio 1.38.00.10 - get it here http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtractedRadioRoms,
BUT before you change the radio, make sure you have Hard-SPL 2.10 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296722 because this will help you recover your phone if something goes wrong.
It's still the same my phone can't make a call always drop after few seconds, i change ratio on 1.38.00.10 and 1.38.00.01 latest UK because I'm in Scotland right now and still is the same, meaby there is a chane to clean everything and upload on my spv again, if yes please for a tip how to do thant, or any difrend idea? Hi der_tiger,,, I've been playing about with black Dymond and various Radios in Scotland with varing results.. IMHO generally all the 1.4# radio Roms had issues with missing calls dropping radio signals etc.. I've reverted back to 1.38.00.10 as it seams the most stable for us in jock-land.
Once you've reflashed your rom I would recommend you reflash black Dymond, I always get a more stable system by reflashing the System ROM "AFTER" i change the Radio rom.....not sure why.
Oh one other thing I noticed, this might just be an Orange thing, but If I manualy select the network ie in my case Orange rather than the phone Auto selecting networks I don't get any issues with signal drop-outs !!!! go figure !!
anyway hope this works for you too
Hi it's me again i have big favor to you mates. Can someone may send me on my e-mail [email protected] his own rom an configs from SPV M3100 with working in UK, please because i try everything and my phone still don't wand make a call.

Problem with basic phone call function

Hi all the buddies out there...
Did anyone experience problem with making calls and receiving incoming calls? I tested the ROM without any add on application installed. When I call my mobile, the first attempt will not be able to connect and it will end up into my voice mailbox. Second attempt will wake up the phone and get connected. Sometime, first few calls will be also failed.
About making calls, sometime I can't dial out and need to try few times. It make me very frustrated with the problems of the basic function of a "phone". I really appreciate any suggestions or fixes you may be aware. Many thanks.
Make sure you hardreset with NO/YES/YES options.
Hard reset does not help at all
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Of course I do hard reset everytime I upgrade my BA code and when I wanted to clean up my phone. This is a normal procedure.
I believe everyone who is using it as a phone will not live with the phone function problem. I would appreciate whoever ever experienced this problem and have the work around method can share with me. Billion thanks and hope I can really get a solution. It is really frustrating...
i read your previous posts (re WM5 roms), and it is puzzling why your unit exhibits problems on calls even then...
is your radio already v1.15?
I did not have any call function problem with the earlier version of WM5. Ever since I upgraded my WM5 to newer version, I started to have the phone's problem.
I tried to downgrade the radio firmware from 1.15 to 1.13 to 1.12.
1.12 so far give me the least problem. I experienced drop calls occasionally, but huge reduce in incoming call problem. I still can live with sometime cannot make outgoing calls. The most important, people can reach me more consistently.
I had this problem on Orange UK; a new SIM card fixed it. Try borrowing a SIM card from another phone and see if the problem still exists for you.
had changed to a new sim card but problem persist..I think will just throw away my BA...
Wouldn't be cheaper to go back to WM5 or WM2003SE, instead of throwing the BA...?
Downgrade radio
Or maybe downgrade your radio version?
I experience the problem with Radio 1.12.
When I upgrade to 1.15, the problem is gone.
Thanks to Helmi to give us this great ROM.

TyTN is on but calls are not getting through

I have an HTC branded TyTN and even though the phone is on and the reception shows strong the calls are not getting through. Also when I try to make calls they are droped.
This does not happen all the time but very often. I miss about half of my calls.
Anybody has any ideas?
Need a little more info to help solve your problem.
1. Where are you located.
2. Who is your service Provider
3. Has the phone ever worked right with this provider
4, How long have you had the phone and was it new or used when you got it.
5. Does it still have the same Rom and Radio on it as when you got it.
6. What versions are those.
7. Have you tried a hard reset
Answer these for starters and let's see what we can do to help you out.
I am located in Cyprus and the service provider is cytamobile-vodafone. The phone was purchased from expansys.com.cy
It worked fine for more than a year. Although this particular problem occured very rarely during the first year.
I know of at least one more person who experienced this problem for a short period of time but it was sorted out on its own.
The only update I made to the phone was installing Windows mobile 6 from the official HTC website. The phone worked fine for a few months after the update.
No other update of any rom was made.
I tried a hard reset but it did not help.
OK, and thanks for the response. Based on what you have said, my only other suggestion would be to check your version of radio installed. If you are unfamiliar with how to do that, it appears on the screen at every reboot, or, you can go to settings, device info and it is listed there. I am unfamiliar with service Providers in Cyprus, so I would suggest doing a search of the forums to see if you can find another user with your service provider and a similar phone to see which radio works best for them. If I remember right, the WM6 update from the HTC site, does flash a new radio also, and that may be the problem. If you can't find anything, start a new thread with a title like best radio for cytamobile-vodafone in Cyprus, and hopefully you will only get relevant responses from fellow countrymen.
Does anyone else have any ideas to help this fellow XDAer out? Sorry I couldn't be more help.
thank a lot steve

herald driving me crazy (gsm/gprs)

hi!
at the moment i have my third herald from o2 germany, also known as xda terra. all three have the same problem:
i use activesync and an exchange server to use push-email via gprs. but my herald decides to not let me communicate with the rest of the world. after the subway and switching the operator (o2/t-mobile d) (too) often it refuses to establish a gprs connection.
it tries, but fails... but best thing to come: it shows me full network coverage, but i can't call anybody, and anybody can call me. after a softrest, everything works again. gprs instantly, and even a normal phone call is possible.... (wohooo ) and that really annoys me, especially having a mobile phone, and nobody can call you even everything seems okay to you.
i already tried it with, and without installing the extended rom. - no change. first i thought it's probably some software i installed, but after the last hard reset i did not install anything. same problem. last idea of the o2 support was a new sim-card. but no change.
in my eyes it's a radio-rom problem, but o2 does not offer any updates, therefore there is no official way to test that. i would love to try out a custom rom and radio update, but because of warranty reasons i won't do that.
my radio-rom version is 02.85.90, does anybody know whether there are such problems with this version? OR, does anybody have any idea how to solve my problem? at the moment im really ******...
thanks in advance!
