Wi-fi problem - Customer service - G1 General

Hi,
What are the stages that i need to do for sending the G1 to HTC customer service (because of the Wi-Fi problem).
1. Back to the original ROM, like it was bought in the store? How to do that and which ROM is it ? How can i know that the program of my device is exactly as I bought it before i sending it?
2. SPL?
3. Something else?
Thank's!!

Having X01HT's loose keyboard repaired by Softbank

Hi guys,
I'm having some trouble to get my X01HT's loose keyboard repaired by Softbank in Japan. My device is under warranty but they said HTC refused to repair it because I installed some software (they just mentioned that my device was in English) - I only have Asukal's MUI running on it. They weren't specific, so I did a hard reset right in front of the attendant and told her that it was restored to factory's default, so she took it back and sent to repair one more time.
My concern is that I installed an extended rom that I got from this forum and I didn't know how to remove it, so just after the hard reset the extended rom installed some stuff. Just in case, can you guys tell me how to remove the extended rom stuff that I installed? If SB tells me they can't fix my phone again, then I intend to delete that extended rom files and try another hard reset to have my pretty loose keyboard fixed.
I also unlocked SIM with Pof's solution but I don't think that's a problem regarding warranty. CID? Nope, I haven't done anything about it, yet.
Soon I want to upgrade it to WM6 in order to use SDHC 6GB and really have it SIM free, because, though I unlocked the SIM, SB's rom still locked a SIM from France for instance, I haven't tried other SIMs but for sure they're gonna be locked. damn
Tks for reading me and in advance tks heaps for your help!

No answers???
It's been a week that I posted and got no answers...
HTC will not repair your device since you are not running the htc software. When you flash another rom you void your warranty. There are ways to reflash to an original rom version. Please refer to the wiki for this.

Will HTC send me a shipped rom if I contact them?

Hi!
Do anybody if HTC will send me a shipped ROM if I email/contact them? Since I need a shipped rom (my phone is bricked and CiD locked)?
Thx in advance!
No they wont.
I tried a couple of times.
if you had an account in club HTC you may can go to the support page for yor device enter your serial (under battery) and download the rom this always worked for me
Or just google the shipped roms -_-
They're kinda everywhere.

cant answer calls and sms

he
my mom has a mda touch and if i call her i get her voicemail.
and if i sms her she don't get it until i put her card in my wizard then i get all that messages.
i gonna call or visit the shop soon but maybe you can help.
is the reception there full bars ?
or ..
yes it was full.
thats weird.
flash to the latest radio.
http://www.uploadjockey.com/download/8141817/RADIO_03.34.90.zip
test that out.
i think i wait with updating the radio cause when i send it to a repairing station they sey i did that.
maybe later
Deny it !
LOL .
Wait, I thought HTC wont mind if you upgrade the ROM.
They just dont want you to modify the hardware only.
but its now in the waranty it doesn't hurt me to update.
my wizard is wm 6.0 with latest radio.
but its my moms phone in the waranty.
tomorro i go to the t-mobile shop and if they let it repair and they see its modifyd its my fold that it gets unsolved back.
erik
Yeah, so do this:
1) Flash the shipped rom
2) Flash older spl or ipl, like 2.x something
3) Flash old radio
Than it should work.
Hi if you want to keep warranty try
1-Hard RESET
2-Flash official HTC rom and Radio(BE SURE THE ROM IS FOR YOUR DEVICE)
it has the standard T-MOBILE rom and they have no radio upgrade.
my workday tomorro is short so i think i gonna go to the store.
thnx 4 the help.
sure, tell us what happens.
my mother went earlyer and they send a new ticket cause it lost.
and then we gonna send the phone

HD2 O2 Contract.

Hi there i am asking you guys anyone on contract or contract with O2 if anyone has flashed their hd2's? im saying this because its 1.43 but wont let me update to 1.48 through htc or a simple matter its locked access (unless goldcard) has people flashed it?
also unable to do conference calls and i have to ask the provider to let me..:/ argh pay monthly users should be allowed it right?
please reply asap.
From what I can gather from reading other threads, you can indeed flash your phone, and it should work fine. The only trouble is you'll lose your warranty I believe. I'm with O2 and due an upgrade in a few weeks, so I've bought a new sim free HD2 from carphone warehouse (£450) so no O2 locks, then I'll get a new upgrade, sell this and get my money back that I forked out for my sim free HD2, or there abouts.
To be fair the main reason I did this was through impatience, but partly becasue of the O2 locks
O2 phones can be flashed if you are willing to use the gold card method or i guess hard spl. See the HD2 ROM Development forum for how to do it.
Mines an O2 running 1.61 leaked ROM just fine
ok cheers yeah i saw the goldcard method £20 and im more familiar with the flashing. however, does being on a contract prevent me from being able to download official ROMs from HTC themselves?
the biggest thing i am missing is sense in landscape.
I used HSPL and I think as long as you put a stock ROM on it before sending back to O2 (if you can) it will remove the hspl and should be ok?
I'm running official HTC 1.48WWE ROM with official 2.06 Radio (from SMS Hotfix) and l'm O2. Not tried conference calling though, have no need to right now.
okay thanks ill read on to flash it probs over the weekend. Which official rom allows landscape sense ui?
No, being on a contract does not affect you from loading HTC's official ROM update.
The fact its branded, stops you from loading HTC's official ROM update.
I am on o2 and have flashed to 1.61 using the goldcard. I had to return my device because of the earpiece volume issue and flashed back to the o2 stock ROM before sending it back. Just got the replacement yesterday and as soon as it came out of the box flashed to 1.61
Conference calling is a network feature, as it requires more than one line, hence it does indeed need to be activated by the operator. Call waiting, and switching between calls on call waiting however only requires one line, so that will work.
ahh okay thankyou for the response.
i message O2 to activate the conference feature and hope to hear from them soon. would it still be activated even if i flash it?
the goldcard costs £20 :/ im guessing flashing consists of changing radio and SPL in being able to flash rom. Is 1.61 the latest official rom? what changes are there to it
with microsoft my phone can i restore the backup i made with it of contacts and messages if i flash?
1.48 is the latest, 1.61 is a leak
If you flash it and they activate the call conferencing for you, it should be ok as its more network than device based. You might need to go into the phone settings and 'get settings' if it doesn't work straight away. Good luck!

I need to flash original tmobile room

Hi all,
I bought an used TMOBUS HD2, now the touch screen isn't working and I will send the phone back to tmobile for a replacement. I bought the phone with installed new rom and radio, but probably if I send this way back to tmobile will charge me for the new phone. Where I can download the original tmobile USA rom and radio? (I'm searching on the forum, but I fear I can download the wrong rom)
I've never done this before, I hope I will not brick the phone! thanks a lot
Question...
How are you going to return a phone that you purchased used? T-Mobile does keep records of the phones customers purchased. As you are not the original owner, I really can't see them replacing it for you.
You can find the T-Mobile rom here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653938
and as you've never done this before, I suggest you read up on rom flashing. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=653614
