http://www.uploadjockey.com/download/8141817/RADIO_03.34.90.zip
test that out.

i think i wait with updating the radio cause when i send it to a repairing station they sey i did that.
maybe later

Deny it !
LOL .
Wait, I thought HTC wont mind if you upgrade the ROM.
They just dont want you to modify the hardware only.

but its now in the waranty it doesn't hurt me to update.
my wizard is wm 6.0 with latest radio.
but its my moms phone in the waranty.
tomorro i go to the t-mobile shop and if they let it repair and they see its modifyd its my fold that it gets unsolved back.
erik

Yeah, so do this:
1) Flash the shipped rom
2) Flash older spl or ipl, like 2.x something
3) Flash old radio
Than it should work.

Hi if you want to keep warranty try
1-Hard RESET
2-Flash official HTC rom and Radio(BE SURE THE ROM IS FOR YOUR DEVICE)

it has the standard T-MOBILE rom and they have no radio upgrade.
my workday tomorro is short so i think i gonna go to the store.
thnx 4 the help.

sure, tell us what happens.

my mother went earlyer and they send a new ticket cause it lost.
and then we gonna send the phone

Phone Function Issue

Hello
I noticed a very annoying bug at my phone: sometimes when I end a call the phone function stalls (the icon on the upper bar shows conversation in progress)
The only way to use the phone function again is to soft reset it. Lately I get the same problem but without the icon that shows conversation in progress. During this time all the incoming calls are not prompted. Basically on the caller side my phone "rings" but my phone doesn't even notice the incoming call. This prevents me from receiving very important calls that affect my business.
I cannot upgrade my ROM (1.14.479.3 ) since there is no official version for my region.
Any of you have this problem ? Shall I bring it to service ?
Please tell me your thoughts
SR
seems like a software issue, which region is your phone in? have you tried updating your software through HTC website?
For Romania there is no official version released. I cant upgrade ROM/Radio without losing my warranty.
i had the same problem after installed a hot fix from HTC, even hard reset and reinstall the ICR program the phone just lockup when I made a call. I can talk in that call but the whole phone just won't response to any keys or touch screen. After 2 days playing around with countless hard reset I decided to flash the same ROM from computer and the problem seems gone now.

Sure you can You are currently using a WWE ROM right? You can use USPL or HSPL to flash a newer official WWE ROM. In the event you need to return the phone just flash the original ROM (and SPL) back to your phone and they will never know. The original ROM you are running now is available on the Wiki, and here is a direct link. If you need help flashing ROM's you can read the guide in my signature and post questions in that thread
On a side note- I have had that issue before as well. It does seem like a bug in some software on the ROM as flashing different ROM's seems to make it go away (or reappear )
My phone's screen stopped responding few weeks ago and I brought it to service. They changed its front side with a brand new one (I am not sure if the screen only because I even get better audio quality during calls). I am telling you this just to underline that when I took it back from service the ROM was flashed again (same version though) because the menus used to be in English and now they are in Romanian. So if I am not mistaking my hard resets + services ROM flashing (into the same version though ) didn't fix this issue.
@Digital Outcast:
I am aware that I am able to use a newer ROM. I read the wiki and I know how to do it but if for some reason what I mentioned above (screen completely stopped responding and it was changed) happens while the new ROM is on the phone I will lose my warranty.
Since I opened this issue I changed the sim with a newer one. The old one was 7 years old...
Thank you for your feedback and for letting me know I am not the only phone owner having this annoying bug.
As stated by Tnyynt on another thread
Official updates go by as original ROM, they install without HardSPL if there is an update for your version of the device, so if you have an Official ROM which you have flashed, there's no need to worry for warranty.

Basically, any of the official rom updates for your device available on HTC or wiki can be flashed to your phone without HSPL or USPL and will not void warranty.
I tried with this one but when I insert my serial it says its not available for my region.
http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=179&act=sd&cat=2
Still I managed to download it using some serial I found on the web. But when I started the flashing process it says its not meant for my phone and aborted
Is your phone branded? Did you get it new? I ask because it doesn't look like it was a WWE device...
I bought it brand new from an online store. I didn't buy it from a provider like Vodafone or Orange.
One of my colleagues bought it from Vodafone few days ago and he has exactly the same ROM version as I have. None of us is able to download the previously mentioned ROM version from HTC website using the imei.
RUU_BlackStone_HTC_WWE_EastEurope_1.14.479.3_Radio _52.49a.25.26_1.09.25.14_Ship is the ROM you currently have on your phone. There are no "official" updates for your particular CID.
Your real only current choice if you want to flash a newer HTC ROM would be to use USPL or HSPL and flash another official WWE ROM. You could always flash back the original if you needed to return the phone for warranty purposes. Sorry bud.
Thanks for summing it up for me.
PS: changing the sim with a newer one did not help, in case somone wants to do this.

HD2 O2 Contract.

Hi there i am asking you guys anyone on contract or contract with O2 if anyone has flashed their hd2's? im saying this because its 1.43 but wont let me update to 1.48 through htc or a simple matter its locked access (unless goldcard) has people flashed it?
also unable to do conference calls and i have to ask the provider to let me..:/ argh pay monthly users should be allowed it right?
please reply asap.
From what I can gather from reading other threads, you can indeed flash your phone, and it should work fine. The only trouble is you'll lose your warranty I believe. I'm with O2 and due an upgrade in a few weeks, so I've bought a new sim free HD2 from carphone warehouse (£450) so no O2 locks, then I'll get a new upgrade, sell this and get my money back that I forked out for my sim free HD2, or there abouts.
To be fair the main reason I did this was through impatience, but partly becasue of the O2 locks
O2 phones can be flashed if you are willing to use the gold card method or i guess hard spl. See the HD2 ROM Development forum for how to do it.
Mines an O2 running 1.61 leaked ROM just fine
ok cheers yeah i saw the goldcard method £20 and im more familiar with the flashing. however, does being on a contract prevent me from being able to download official ROMs from HTC themselves?
the biggest thing i am missing is sense in landscape.
I used HSPL and I think as long as you put a stock ROM on it before sending back to O2 (if you can) it will remove the hspl and should be ok?
I'm running official HTC 1.48WWE ROM with official 2.06 Radio (from SMS Hotfix) and l'm O2. Not tried conference calling though, have no need to right now.
okay thanks ill read on to flash it probs over the weekend. Which official rom allows landscape sense ui?
No, being on a contract does not affect you from loading HTC's official ROM update.
The fact its branded, stops you from loading HTC's official ROM update.
I am on o2 and have flashed to 1.61 using the goldcard. I had to return my device because of the earpiece volume issue and flashed back to the o2 stock ROM before sending it back. Just got the replacement yesterday and as soon as it came out of the box flashed to 1.61
Conference calling is a network feature, as it requires more than one line, hence it does indeed need to be activated by the operator. Call waiting, and switching between calls on call waiting however only requires one line, so that will work.
ahh okay thankyou for the response.
i message O2 to activate the conference feature and hope to hear from them soon. would it still be activated even if i flash it?
the goldcard costs £20 :/ im guessing flashing consists of changing radio and SPL in being able to flash rom. Is 1.61 the latest official rom? what changes are there to it
with microsoft my phone can i restore the backup i made with it of contacts and messages if i flash?
1.48 is the latest, 1.61 is a leak
If you flash it and they activate the call conferencing for you, it should be ok as its more network than device based. You might need to go into the phone settings and 'get settings' if it doesn't work straight away. Good luck!

No HD2 Rom Upgrade With T-mobile

Hi,
I have just bought a HTC HD2 from T-mobile to realise I can't upgrade the ROM through the official HTC website.
I would like to know from Virgin Costumers whether they have tried to upgrade the ROM of their HTC HD2 through the Official HTC website and whether it worked.
I am asking this because I am still on the trial period and also because of warranty issues if I try to upgrade trough another route apart from the T-mobile's...
So, the question is...
Have you got a HTC HD2 from virgin? Have you upgrade the ROM through the HTC website?
If it's vendor locked you'll need to flash HSPL to install a stock or custom ROM...see this thread for details:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=609477
If I do install another ROM they say I loose the warranty...
As I still am in the trial period I could just return the mobile. But for this I need to know whether the HTC HD2 from virging is also branded or not... So I can go and get one from them and do the upgrades myself through HTC website... Withought loosing any warranty.
You can revert back to the original SPL/ROM if you need to return it for any reason...
As for the Virgin HD2, only way is putting the S/N into the ROM download page on HTCs support site and see if it allows a download. If not, it's locked
There's at least a dozen of threads about it. Don't be lazy and use search!
You won't loose the warranty, you can flash the phone back to it's original state in case you need to send it back for repairs.
You can download the original T-Mobile ROM from in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577717 so you can always go back if you need warranty work! I was reluctant to flash, but I did it from the original T-Mobile ROM and it has transfromed my HD2... I'm using MIRI 6.5 ROM and it is awesome, fast, stable, more RAM (with the right radio) and best of all, Youtube... GO ahead and do it. You think the HD2 is good now, wait until you unleash some of it's real potential....
Yes, that is why I am asking if there is someone who is a virgin costumer to help me with this...
I need to know if they have tried and what the outcome was.
About the warranty... The problem is that if I upgrade to another ROM and the mobile has a hardware fault that doesn't allow me to downgrade to the original ROM I suppose I would loose the warranty. This is a risk I may not want to take...
I have been talking to the tmobile technical people a lot after I realised I couldn't upgrade to a new ROM via HTC... Very annoying to know it is not possible whatsoever.
and as proof, I flashed mine back to the original ROM earlier this week. Search the ROM forum for posts by a member called 'football' who posted links to the TMo UK ROMs.
The flash back to the original ROM worked just fine, BUT it's a rubbish ROM so I'm back on 1.66
lol @ everyone pushing for the HSPL option, , , , lets not forget you cant uninstal HSPL if, for instance, the sd card reader has failed, , how would you get that fixed on warranty??
I'm not knocking it, HSPL is the first thing i did, just pointing out that restoring the warranty isn't foolproof.
in this post here a virgin user claims the phone is unlocked to the HTC website.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=632892
I didn't want to cause such turmoil...
Just want to know, from a Virgin customer, if they have managed to install the ROM update through the HTC website... if when they add their mobile serial number they are given the download option or they are barred with this message: "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device."
Thanks guys for the help
My son is on Virgin and his is unlocked out of the box I'am on T-Mobile (locked ) ) I am still deciding whether to update to one of the new roms on xda del. or hang out for an official rom from T-Mobile. Which I believe will be released soon with a big?????.

I had a flash fail this week. When I started the phone it booted to a black screen with some sort of warning triangle. Somehow HSPL had been removed in the botched flash and the SPL was back to 1.42.000, so putting a LEOIMG.nbh on my SD card just resulted in a 'Not Allowed' message being displayed.
However, I was still able to reflash the original TMo ROM from my PC via USB using the exe that you can find on the ROM forum. I would expect that this will only work with the exe for a ROM issued by your network though, so make sure you have that saved before you flash anything.

No doubt you flashed an official rom from the sd card, that is the only way HSPL can be removed. I really really advise people against using sd card for anything except your phones original rom. So easy to make an error.
Virgin UK HD2 is unlocked
I am a Virgin UK customer and my HD2 is indeed unlocked. When I first boot I had to select Virgin Mobile from a long list that included all the major carriers. I have no problems in updating ROMS. Their customer support is without doubt the best I have ever experienced. I do not work for them. My brother is with T-Mobile, his phone is locked down with Crap software. I am SOOOO glad I am not with them. Just check their forums. They are still on ROM 1.43 from october... no YouTube... other stuff missing and buggy... Disgrace.
Original poster: if you want the phone on contract from T-Mobile but unbranded, you could buy it through some third-party mobile-phone store chain like Car Phone Warehouse or Mobile Phones Direct. Their phones are all unbranded.
If you want to install the HTC ROM without using HSPL you could always use a gold card to flash it.

I must agree with the above. I am with T-Mobile, got my HD2 at the end of January and it had ROM 1.43. They also stripped out YouTube and Co-Pilot! I downloaded a poor-man's version of YouTube as discussed in other threads (i.e. using the IE browser on the phone to download the cab file) and thought I was cool, but with T-Mobile taking an age to release the update ROM (I have heard March, but I wouldn't hold my breath!) I decided to use HSPL and update to 1.66 from the HTC website. Best decision I made!
Not only are all the little bugs fixed, I know have the 'proper' YouTube app back (beautiful!), Co-Pilot (trial version) plus a Windows Task Manager app (very useful!).
I did alot of reading before taking the plunge though, and made backups of backups, had a roll-back plan (admittedly untested) and followed each stage implicitly! But it was very striaghtforward due to the guys on this forum doing a fantastic job!
I never made one call on my T-Mobile HD2 before I flashed over to stock HTC ROM.
Years of HTC devices and operators ROMS told me not to wait until later!

As soon as I turned it on and saw that horrid T-Mobile logo, I turned it off again and flashed it with the HTC WWE Rom

ROM upgrade interrupted

Hi
While I was upgrading my ROM the PC was turned off, and the upgrade was interrupted.
Now my HTC HD2 have died in its 1st day No matter how many times I press the power button it doesn't turn on!
Tried soft and hard reset but didn't worked, also the battery is almost full.
I called HTC workshop and they told me if the interruption was between 17% - 50% then it can be fixed easily (low cost)
BUT if it was interrupted after 50% progress, then the motherboard need to be changed and that will cost alot!!
Is that true...
PLEASE HELP
more specific info please,
can you boot into bootloader?
when you say "No matter how many times I press the power button it doesn't turn on!" do you REALLY mean it wont turn on, or do you mean it stops on a grey screen?
what version phone?
did you use hspl first?
Hi samsamuel
No I cannot even boot into bootloader.
and yes I REALLY mean it wont turn on. (It has died man) ...
It is a T-Mobile USA Version with ROM 2.01 and I was upgrading to ROM 1.66 and I wasn't able to upgrade to that version until I used HSPL successfully.
How much does it cost to replace the motherboard and from where I can buy it??

Send it to warranty if it can't be turned on.
Maybe they'll replace it. What do you have to loose?
if it is tmobile, and less than a year, jsut tell them it stopped working. don't tell them you upgrade to rom bla bla bla

Unlucky, it's dead, you bricked it by flashing an incorrect radio.
i'm interested in your train of thought where going from 2.01 to 1.66 is an upgrade?
no clue how you would go about swapping out a mo board. Id try get it swapped under warranty.

The reason I did that was to enable Arabic and the only way I think could do that is to "downgrade it to that ROM.

ah i see. well unfortunately the tmous will not run any rom version lower than 2, but what killed your phone is the radio that is included with the 1.66.
so far a few dozen people have donethis, no fix available.
It will indeed be the incompatible radio that bricked it. Live and learn. There's no fix.
If you've just got the phone there's no reason why you can't just contact T-Mobile and get a replacement unless they call you up on it. Did you HSPL before hand?

brick HD2 Return & Tmobile Policy ?

Hi All,
i installed HSPL2 2.8.0000 i think and i installed Kumar ROM. after a week i installed non tmobile ROM and my phone is dead. it does not show the phone is charging and it does not turn on at all. i try Volume + Power and nothing happens. if i get a replacement phone from tmobile, do you guys think they can find out what went with this phone ? can they hold me any legal terms ? what worst can happen if they find out ?
thanks
I work for tmo customer care and the worst case scenario is that you'll be charged a $100 out of warranty fee as the issue was caused by human error not the manufacturer. As far as I am aware there are no legal ramifications. Just call and say your phone won't turn on and you don't know why. They will run you through all the troubleshooting, just make them understand the issue is NOT with your battery or charger as they may want to replace those first if they believe its a power issue.
quite a lot of people have returned tmous in that condition, after flashing a .51. radio, and no one has said anything about any comebacks. The only people that have been charged are those who sent it back where you CAN get into bootloader, and they left hspl visible.
In your case they wont be able to get into bootloader, so you should be fine.
thank you all.
you guys are the best...

Hi there all,
Just want to confirm one thing as I have read over 100 posts and did not find a clear answer.
So I bricked my TMOUS HTC HD2 and I Have tried all ways to get into bootloader, but no luck (v. down + power) like a million times and every time I hook the phone to the PC i get the Qualcomm Diagnostics interface 3197 com port.
These where the steps I did before it got bricked:
1- Flashed using HSPL3 to 2.08.HSPL from SPL 2.08.0000
2- To change language I Installed the following ROM (_HTC HD2_RUU_Leo_HTC_ARA_1.66.415.4_Radio_Signed_15.30. 50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship)
3- Got a message that phone was successfully flashed with the new ROM.
4- Phone got shutdown and bricked/dead
These are my phone details before I did any of the above as I saved them before I did anything in case of any damage and forgot to investigate radio issues hehehehehe:
Rom Version: 2.10.531.1 (82076) WWE
Rom Date:02/22/10
Manila Version:2.5.20121412.1
OS Version:5.2.21889 (21889.5.0.87)
Radio Version:2.08.50.08_2
After all the posts I read, I understand that my mistake was that I flashed My tmous HD2 with a .51 radio and that's the cause for the phone to brick.
My question is:
is it possible in any way for me or a tmous service center to enter into bootloader mood using any means. if no than I'm verrrrry happy cuz they will never be able to see the HSPL I flashed.
I would appreciate your confirmation. I know you mentioned it above that they can't, but just wanted to confirm before i send it to them.
Thanks to all the help we get from everyone here. Keep up the good work
***we live and learn***
Yes. Your situation is exactly the same as the OPs. Youre ok. Send it in. Get a new one.
