plz someone give me step to step information about ftp client configuration...and ho it works..which is the best res o or total commander.....from where can i download ftp sites?plz help needed...
This is probably a bit late but I only just found out the answer myself (used google). What you need to do is:
1. Start total commander
2. Put "\\\" into the address bar.
3. Open ftp folder
4. Open file named "New Connection"
5. Add the connection name (any name you want)
6. Fill in the FTP details
7. Your ready to upload & download!

Dear Friends,

it is followed by folder path.
Can anybody help
you can try this link
ftp://xda:[email protected]/
cheers
Again the same problem, does this link works on your system
check your browser on PC ...
Step By Step tutorial to get it working
1. Download BIOS File - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GEW0PM4S
2. Download roms from http://www.emuparadise.org/ Make sure you own the original copy or that would be considered illegal.
3. Download http://www.neillcorlett.com/ecm/ (Mac users download the Mac GUI Port in the link)
MAC Users you will need to download the expander for the above program to work. Free download http://www.stuffit.com/mac-expander.html
After you download the expander drag the ECM program (.sit) into that expander, you will get a new folder with the correct file in it.
4. Browse the zipped rom until you locate the .ecm file
5. Extract or move the .ecm to your desktop
6. Open the downloaded ecm program and select un-ecm
7. Locate your .ecm file
8. Click begin
9. Wait a few minutes, after its complete put the new .bin file in your nexus one
10. THATS IT!
This tutorial was mostly for mac users, cause I was having a hard time with my mac. Just want to help others.
I apologize, but since I have an xplay, I wanted to share this here, though this would probably work for any android phone - I found this the easiest way to access the files on the phone with the least amount of effort - especially if you are a fan of Total Commander.
Install SSHDroid. Run it. Grant it root access if available for full access to your phones filesystem.
Install Total Commander, find the SFTP plugin on this page:
(I can't post links.. google: plugins total commander)
I suggest you copy the plugin to the install folder of Total Commander. Install it as per instructions at the middle of the page.
EDIT:
How to install a file system plugin:
1. Unzip the plugin to a directory of your choice.
2. In Totalcmd, choose Configuration - Options - Operation - FS-Plugins
3. Click on "Add"
4. Choose the .wfx file of that plugin and click OK
You can now access the new file system via the Network Neighborhood.
You also require the DLLs libeay32.dll and libssh2.dll in the same directory as the plugin, which can be found in this file: (For win32)
Google: curl-7.21.7-devel-mingw32.zip
Setup the passwords and now you have full ssh access as well as easy access to file functions in a nice GUI. And encrypted. (for free)
I use File Expert, and just press Share, then Start FTP Server and it just works through wifi easy as pie
Yes indeed, there are many ways to do this.. this is ideal if you 1)like Total Commander (why wouldn't you?), and you 2)want to have SSH command line access. If you want these things anyway, or even if you want SSH access, there is no need to run another server on your phone.. and the added bonus of encrypted transfers. You could also use WinSCP.
Notice: This is a first release if something doesn't work smoothly please let me know!
Hello Forum,
I am proud to announce a new utility for all ROM devs out there. A while back when releasing ROMs I built a php based kitchen to offer additional apps and mods to our users. You can see the original version here.
As time has gone on I have received many inquiries about how it was made and if I would share the code behind it. After sharing the code many people would have trouble customizing it to fit their needs as they didn't understand php.
I have taken the time to rewrite the script into an automatic Add-on kitchen builder. There are a few simple steps to complete and you will have a working kitchen. I have tried to make this script robust and have added a bit of security.
If you would like to see a working version of a kitchen + scripts they can be found here:
Kitchen form: Link
Builder form: Link
Updater form: Link
What you will need:
1. Web Server (Linux Pref)
2. ChanceM's Kitchen Builder Zip
3. Any APKs you wish to include
How to setup your kitchen:
1. Extract the files from your Zip
2. Upload the files to your web server (be sure to rename the folder under apks)
3. Fill the folders with the appropriate files (see included documentation)
4. Open the Build-Kitchen.html web page
5. Fill in the information and submit the form
6. Open the Rom_Update.php web page
7. Select the correct options and enter the password you created in step 5
8. Enjoy!
To Update Kitchen:
1. Open the Build-Kitchen.html web page
2. Fill in the information and submit the form
To Update the Rom in the kitchen:
1. Open the Rom_Update.php web page
2. Select the correct options and enter your password
If you have any problems please feel free to ask! Also, if you would like to see new features please let me know!
Notes: The battery mods are pre labeled for use with Dynamic Drives Image w/ description tooltip v2.0 which can be found here.
All so you will need to add a line framework.res.apk= and a number that will incrament as you update your ROM to the build.prop file.
Update:
1.1 - Fixed numbering issue for battery mod pre-labeling.
Just upload new filesystem.php and run the Build-Kitchen.html again.
When I input the password on setup, it says invalid password, Am i missing a step?
A note on passwords

Click to collapse
The first time you enter a password into the Build-Kitchen.html page the script will salt your entry and hash it with sha256. That becomes your password from that point on.
If you need to reset the password for some reason open the variables.php and change the password variable to ="new" and then open the Build-Kitchen.html again.
That password is used to protect your kitchen so only you can make updates.
I hope that answered your question.
Thanks,
ChanceM
