Hello all,
I ve problems with RSS HUB, it doesn´t notify new news, doesn´t actualize, etc.
Anyone of you have those problems?
Do you know what can i do?
i have done 3 hard resets but nothing.
Thank you, sorry of my english
2 potential issues come to mind:
- problem with your connection??
are the feeds working when on Wifi but not on gprs/3g?
check if the rss feeds you're trying to retrieve are working in PIE or Opera.
I had this issue at one point when Vodafone decided to turn content restriction on on my account... everything was fine again when they turned it back off.
- corrupted channel data:
I had issues in the past with Newsbreak (RSS Hub is based on this app)... check your rss hub settings and change the storage location.
Then try to refresh again.
If that doesn't work go to your device/storage card \Program Files\RSS hub\Channel Data and delete all the files in this folder...

Hi,
I am having trouble syncing Mobile favourites even when I click them as "Save Offline" in Internet explorer.
It seems as though it always wants to load the page from the internet on my M5000.
I tried to put it in flight mode so it wouldnt have connection and then I tried it but it failed....
any ideas what im doing wrong... it should be fairly straightforward as I have clicked the "offline" option in explorer on the pc
please help!!!!
A.
I know its been a while but I still cant get this working.
Can someone please help? It still tries to load the online version.
I have followed every step by step guide I have found but it still wont load the offline content!
Driving me nuts....
Please help!
Thanks,
Synchronizing mobile favorities works fine for me - however I have no experience in saving them as 'offline' with IE.
im notsure on the cure but have you tryed using SPB plus V3.0 because you can save offline content from the phones IE directly i think, its one of the opions, im sure when you sync with your PC it will only copy the offline link and not the content so the phone trys to connect to update its info.
im not sure if this is what you were looking for but its a start
Try turning off the "Available offline" option.
What that does is: while the Pc is ONLINE the page will be updated, then when you go offline the most up to date version of the page is there to view.
What I think is happening is that when the link is passed to the M5K, there is no history of what the page is, so PIE is going looking for it, so it can start storing a copy of it.
ok thanks I will try that this weekend.
i had problems when first syncing favorites, found out it was cos of a
\\servername\sharename shortcut that was in my favorites folder, AS cant sync them which is a shame.
Hi there
I own an MDA Pro (T Mobile) for a month now. It had and has problems connecting through USB (have to check and uncheck it in Connections setting and restart Microsoft ActiveSync), but it stopped synchronzing and reports an error. Reinstalled the latest MS Active Sync version, deleted everything on both my PC and my PPC, but after reinstallation things still won't work.
I am sure I am not the first with this problem, but I did not find it posted here.
Is there any third party software instead of MS Active Sync?
When I backup on my SD card, does it back up my agenda information as well? (I actually don't need to synchronize, I need to back up)
*sigh* worked with a Palm for years, never had this kind of problems
my own answer
alright, this is what finally worked for me: I changed PIE's TEMP folder to save on my SD card. I now understand that my favourites are saved there as well (read before that people had sync problems because of that). Had to set it to default values and voila.. it syncs once again.
thanks (to myself)
Hello, being noob again here...
I bought a MiniSD for my 9100, but I can't find a way to get my synch-ed files written automatically over it instead than the usual internal folder. Since the main point for the card was it to store large synched files, is there any way to get ActiveSync to point to the card directly?
Thank you for your help...
I've been using this program for a while now; works great:
http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=985
Syncs any file/folder from the PC to any file/folder to PDA- including the storage card. Works in conjuction with ActiveSync.
Hi,
have a look at this: http://www.pocketpctweaks.com/pocketpc_tweaks/move_my_documents_storage
But don't know if it works as it is WM2003.
Regards,
Hades.
Mobsync is WONDERFUL!
I tried many other shareware options before reading your suggestion, but Mobsync is just perfect. No weird logic (another one only synched in one direction, but not the other...), no absurd limits (yet another one would only sync up to eight folders), no cost!
Yeah!
Ahem. Maybe I was a bit early in my enthusiasm.
Yes, the new sync program works just fine... but if I switch the 9100 off while connected by cable to my PC, somehow in a short while it springs back to life, soft resets by itself and... well, after that it's just fine, but I suppose this behavior is initiated by the new syncher.
Anybody else experiencing this?
I have done lots of searches but can't solve this one so I am hoping someone can walk me through it.
I have a 2GB storage card and I would really like to sync directly to it. It doesn't really matter for My DOcuments and bits and bobs as they are not big and I can always move them but the probelm is email.
I like to keep my outlook synchronised and certain folders synced at all times but unlike the MDAIII the Vatio II can't do this as the memory is too low. I need a way to store the attachments on the card and be able to access them seemlessly or to just sync directly with the card (ideally).
I have looked at the link for mobilesync but it doesn;t download properly and I can't get it to work. If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it. I am not up to tweeking registries etc. I am IT literate but not a boffin!
thanks
If you go to email, email options, memory tab - you can select to store attachments to to storagecard. It works fine with incoming email attachments - not totally sure about outlook emails but its probably worth a try. Let me know the result
There is a setting in Mobile Outlook that allows you to store attachments on the storage card. Did you try that? Within Messaging it is Tools/Options/Storage tab

My device now isn't syncing at all. THe laptop is connecting as it is charging the device but it is seeing it as a guest and not syncing - help
oh dear
I have done this and it is now syncing fine but I still can't access teh attahment s when reading my mail because presumably it is not accessing my storage card by default. How do I set it to read attachments from there?
I don't want to ask the obvious but in activesync have you unchecked the boxes in options / email that limit file size or limit the download of attachments? If these are still checked it could be your problem
I've got a new Sprint Mogul that I'm syncing with Windows Vista Home Premium. I have "Mobile Favorites" checked under Change Content Sync Settings. During synchronization, sometimes all or nearly all of my favorites from the Mogul disappear on both the desktop and the handheld.
This occurs often enough that I regularly copy a backup of the folder on both sides since I have to restore it a couple of times per day. It's pretty annoying, since I really do want to be able to edit, add, and maintain mobile favorites on my desktop.
The behavior is thus far unpredictable and inconsistent. Often I can go several syncs without it happening, then favorites suddenly vaporize. One consistent feature is that only favorites in folders disappear - the 2 that are in the root favorites folder never do. Often, the most recently-used, added, or edited on the Mogul will survive, while the rest disappear. Typically, favorites are safe until I use PIE then are liable to vanish, but sometimes I can use it without this happening.
Does anyone have any ideas what's going on and how I can stop it?
Same thing happening on my Touch
Found this thread through a Google search. Sorry to revive it but haven't found any explanation for this on the web.
My Mobile Favorites just wink out of existence right before my eyes ... really, I'm staring at my Touch, with ActiveSync cabled in and doing it's thing ... and ... blink ... blink ... blink ... every few seconds another one just disappears.
Very strange.
I'm having the same issue. Has anybody found an explanation or solution?
Favorites disappear - MS aware of bug
I read about this here: https://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsMobile/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3808030&SiteID=65
Sounds like a bug that has yet to be resolved.
Oh yeah, it is also an issue with XP SP3 and ActiveSync 4.5.
Here's my solution...
www.dashwire.com....
I let it do the syncing for me as far as Contacts, Texts, Speed Dials, Web Favorites, etc. The only things I really use ActiveSync for now are flashing and transferring large files to my SD card (music, ringers etc.)
Once you get an account on the site and D/L the mobile client to the device, run it and let it sync the first time to save everything (Contacts, texts, Speed Dials, Pictures, etc. If you have alot of pictures it may take a while or even freeze on you, so it might be a good idea to move the pics to your SD card before the the first sync.
After that go into your ActiveSync settings and set it to only sync files and media (unless you use Outlook at home, then set it for that too). Once done, any time you sync that way, it won't touch the Web Favorites and you don't have to worry about losing them. Another good thing is everytime you soft reset your device, Dashwire does a sync just to make sure nothing is lost. It will also put everything back if you flash a new ROM too. (Of course you have to re-install the mobile client and sign in first, but you don't have to worry about losing your Favorites in the process.)
