this is the third time that i am partioning my sd card. I am using dude 1.3 it works 4 hours then it says card removed. I reboot blank sd any suggestions
buy a new SD card, sounds like the one you are using is bad. if it's less than a month old you can probably take it back to wherever you bought it and exchange but otherwise you're out the money

I have 2 batteries... Seido and the stock battery... I was in a hurry to go out so I switched batteries... I tried to use my camera and it said sd card error... I restarted and removed it.. Put it back in... Still error..
I swap back to my seido battery and now it works fine.. Any ideas?

That IS weird. After backing up your card onto your pc, you might try formatting the card on the DI with the stock battery in and see what happens.
it seems to been a freak issue... I switched my camera storage to internal... the only thing I was mad I was losing was my pictures I took... now its been fine ever since... my sd card is kinda old... I had it in my omnia but figured I only need it to store stuff from apps that require an sd card... would maybe picking up a newer sd card help? only like a 4gb would be plenty for me... I only use 500mb of my 2 gig card as of now
Have you formatted it on the DI?
I have been just clicking the sd card in and out every time I swap batteries... I forgot last night to do it and it didn't work... So just take the extra 1/2 second when swapping the battery to click the sd card...

My phone came with 8gb card in it. I purchased a few games and downloaded a bunch of free ones. I still have 4gb of space yet I can't download anything because the memory is full. I can't move anything else to the sd card because it's all grayed out. I have moved all the apps that would let me.
So I pulled the sd card out and none of my apps have icons anymore. I put the card back in and they didn't come back. Will I have to buy those games again? How do I get more games if the phone says no memory even though there is 4gb of space. The SD says un-mounted in the setting but when I click mount it says SD blank in the top left. When I look at the apps in the apps settings it shows things like Com.andoop.jailbreak and lest my uninstall but not install. They have little black icons instead of the game icons and it has a picture of the micro SD card on the icon.
I wanted to buy a bigger card but this is a nightmare.
Any help would be appreciated.
ye this sometimes happen with apps to sd
usually with the games there is a folder named downloads on the sd card the game apks should be in there, you should be able to reinstall em and it will pick up the old data files on the sd card
note that the sd card wont mount untill you put the case back on the fone as the case has a notch that presses a button to tell the fone that it can be remounted
Thanks
I have the case on but it is still saying blank.
I'll back everything up when I get home and format the card from the phone.

ok what make sd card is it?
do not buy a cheap micro sd card off ebay called memorette
i have had to of the fake cards of 2 different supliers
supposed to be 32gb class 10
turned out to be class 5 4gb
they show 32gb when inserted but if you try and put more than 4gb on it looks like it has transfered but when u mount card back to fone it all but vanished
have u tried putting card into pc/laptop with a usb adaptor?
if you do format the card copy the gameloft folder and the download folder to your pc/laptop first, saves you having to redownload
Thanks
it is the card that came with the phone. Upon closer inspection I seen a break in the SD Card. I will retun it to Rogers tomorrow. I'm going to go buy a new card. A 16 or 32 GB card.
If you an avid gamer I suggest you plump for a 32gb class 10
I've got 8gb of music 12gb of roms
3gb of game loft games
Plus 2gb of play station pocket games
N apps videos n pictures
It all adds up
Why buy a small card n upgrade later might as will do it now saves all the messing about imo

lol reboot one or twice you should see everything coming back ...
The SD is not formated it's just that you removed it so android did a cleanup in the interface...
Reboot until you see everything back
and you can't check the content of your SD card or play your games when you are in mass storage mode... (the sd is being used by the computer)
It turned out that my SD card was broken. Of course my wireless provider would not replace it even though they installed it before I bought the phone.
I picked up a 16GB because that is all I could find. 32GB were expensive so I’m not sure I would have bought one if I had found one. You can close this topic you want.
Thanks
Hi guys I registered just for help with this annoying problem. So I bought my Xperia Play on ebay and the guy said it was brand new. Anyway so I open it up pop my sim card in then I slide it open to try out some games. So I click on Bruce Lee then it tells me insert SD card so then I think to myself "did the guy take the SD card" so I end up opening the back cover and looking for the SD card slot and to my surprise it had an SD card in it.
An 8GB card so I didn't know what the problem is. So I went over to storage and tried to mount it, it then tells me "SD card is blank or has unsupported filesystem" so then I click on that to format it and it does nothing just brings a little loading thing then the same notification that it is blank.
I finally got my brother's phone and popped it in and formatted it through the pc through his phone and then popped it into mine and the same problem again. I'm at the end of my rope, I've contacted the seller but I'd really would like to be able to fix it myself and keep the phone.
Thanks for any help and sorry for the essay lol.
Since then I've tried using my brother's micro SD I've tried formating and everything I can think of. This is my last resort before looking for a place that might be able to fix it.
Not an expert here, but if you have tried multiple cards and they don't work, you could try a factory reset on the phone. If that does not work, sounds like a hardware issue, though someone else might know better.

That's what I'm thinking but I wanna see if someone has a fix or a trick before taking it in to be checked.
Do you have another card to try?
Mine was cracked and quit working. I got a new 16GB card anyway because 8 isn't enough for a gaming system. 16 isn't even enough but that was the biggest I could find under $100.
I didn’t want to spend just as much on a card as I did on the phone. Although I did spend $900+ for a 32GB iphone 3GS.

I tried like 3 cards. One that came with it, then I went out then bought a 4GB Sony card and then I resorted to trying out my brother's card that works in his samsung phone.
Then it is probably a hardware problem. See if you can get it fixed under warranty.
How long ago did you buy it? You have 20 days to file a claim through Paypal.
Try multiple microSD cards if you have any available to you. If the phone isn't mounting it properly, try formatting the SD card on your computer. Be sure to use defalt file system and the default allocation size.
One thing I noticed is that the SD card will not mount properly if the back cover is not put on securely. There are two small buttons that are depressed when the back cover is replaced, which tells the Play to keep the SD card mounted.
When I was hot swapping SD cards with the back cover off, the SD card did not remain mounted.
Good luck!

My 16gb sandisk micro sd card is no longer being recognized. I booted my HTC HD2 in Android and mounted the sd card to transfer pics to my pc. Just then I got a call coming in and the phone immediately became unresponsive. I kept getting the force close message but I couldn't stop it (it seemed to be in a loop) So I unsafely disconnected the phone from the pc, took out the battery and rebooted it. It started up in windows, but when I went to check for the sd card it could no longer be found. I pull out the card put it back more than twice, and yet the phone failed to recognize my memory card.
Please help me guys
put the sd card into a card reader, connect to your pc and if if its recognised there, it might be a dying card I've lost 1 16GB and an 8GB in 18 months with my hd2
If the pc recognises the card with no error save the date, reformat to primary partition fat 32 using Easeus free edition, also try the phone without the card
Thank u
Hey ..I really do appreciate the time u took to respond. Funny I was thinking the same thing....I broke my old card reader, now I have to get another another on from Amazon.com. As soon as I can lay my hands on one that is gonna be my first move.
Again, thanks a bunch.
P.S
Sadly I feel like an idiot for not backing up my sd card...(more than 3000 photos on there )

After trying the SD Card thru a card reader and if it still doesn't work/recognize it - then your mobile (hd2's)windows is corrupted - coz the same happened with me thrice and ultimately I took it back to the HTC service centre and they re installed the windows 6.5 and since then everythings is working normally and there is no problem with the SD Card anymore, but your old card becomes thrash and you'll have to get a new card :0)

Same here. Lost a sd-card recently but probably due to my own fault.
The card was difficult to get out of the reader (Yup, it seems there is some tolerance on the size) so I had to use some small tweezers.
I finally managed to get it out without any visual damage but after inserting it in the HD2 it couldn't see it anymore, neither in the cardreader afterwards.
What I think is that I had physically bent the card and broke the connections to the actual memory chip.
Some good advice on memory cards and I can't stress this out enough especially for dedicated photo equipment. Instead of buying a 16GB card buy 2 x 8GB and from a known seller and known brand.
The best and probably worst experience example that I can give is from a couple who were on their honeymoon and lost all of their pictures because of a el-cheapo 8GB memorycard.
For a phone it is something else but I made a custom out of it to create a map on my c-drive called sd-card phone. Ok it is not a every week copy but it is handy to have the data on my pc and on my phone.
I brought a XPeria play from Amazon.com that is supposed to be new and appears to be that way. I was super excited to get it...
Except one thing...
The SD Card that the phone come with is not being read properly. It comes with an 8GB card.
I am not sure what brand of card it is. It says 8 GB microsd HC
I even tried using my current SD card that I have in my other phone, also 8 GB made by kingston. Class 4 I believe
Everytime i stick it in there it says SD CARD CAN NOT BE ACCESED
I go into settings and it will at first show 7.40 GB available and then it will change to unavailable.
What can I do?
It is an R800i
I actually had the same problem just a little while ago and I put into my x10 and it said the card had damaged clusters out something like that and it just repaired it, so that could be it or the sd card slot just doesn't work properly

Not too sure if this will work, but i guess its worth a shot right?
Format the SD Card ~ Take a backup of everything on it if needs be.
(If you can't do it via the phones settings, use an adapter and do it via your pc)
then place it back in, try to mount it, if it fails; reboot the phone and see if it automatically mounts.
Hope it works if you try it.
Make sure the back of the phone is securely in place, there is a tiny microswitch on the rear of the phone that tells it the back is on, if the back is not on properly, the micro sd will unmount itself.
