Hi
I installed the T Mobile UK WM 6.5 ROM yesterday and other than a few minor niggles everything has been great - except for sending emails.
I've got 3 imap accounts, 1 on gmail (using my own domain) and 2 direct from other domains. I can set them up as I had them previously on WM 6.1 and receive emails, synch folders etc, but I cannot send.
I've tried switch SSL on and off, unticking and reticking the outgoing server requires authentication and use same user anme and password for sending email but i'm still not able to send.
It seems to be the same issue as the WM 6.1 bug.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers
Christian
I should also add to this that I have the same problem with pop3
INterestingly I've just installed the SEX1 ROM and still have the same issue. I find it hard to believe I'm the only person unable to send email.
Of course if I'm being earth-shatteringly dim I'll take it on the chin, but after hours of searching xda developers I can't find any reference to wm 6.5 having email issues on the xperia.
I've also tried the WM 6.1 fix (never expected it to work and it didn't)

I have two IMAP accounts configured in the messaging app in my Jasjar. They're both set to automatically poll (I've tried a number of intervals from 5 minutes to 30 minutes). However, WM5 on my Jasjar only seems to automatically poll whichever account is active. If I go to the inbox of my personal email account then I'll never get new emails in my work account. If I'm in the inbox of my work account I'll never get new emails in my personal account.
This is my first PPC device, but it's my understanding that this is how things worked in WM 2003 SE and earlier, so I figured that it was the same in WM5. However, several people with Imate K-Jams (also WM5) are reporting on howard forums that their devices will automatically poll all of their accounts no matter which one is active. I've tried deleting and reconfiguring my email accounts and even hard resetting and reconfiguring and I still can't get this to work. I'm beginning to wonder if there is a difference in the messaging app between the K-Jam and the Jasjar.
Is anyone else with a Jasjar (or other universal) able to automatically poll more than one IMAP or POP3 account?
Thanks,
Brett

Hi i have the blacksone, and this is my first WM6 handset, i'm impressed so far, however each problems i have come a across i seems to have found a solution so far .........
Here goes,
I use the free windows live mail, as i can use mutilple mail accounts, and keep an eye on each accounts with seperate mail inboxes etc etc, however how can i sync my blackstone with this microsoft mail client......or can't I. I use the mail client on the blackstone, however one can only use 5 mail accounts + outlook ( which i have not configured yet, as i now do not use outlook ) and the sms account.
Any help or push me in the correct direction, is there any syncing software i can use without useing M Activesync, i find this quite difficult at the moment, however i'm not used to it !!!
Thanks
Andrew
Dear all,
searched the forum for my issue, but does not seem to be raised by others.
Anyhow some background,
WinMo: HTC touch HD Winmo 6.1
Activesync: 4.5
Windows XP: Home SP2
Outlook: 2002 SP3
My work email is provided by my ISP, and I have outlook setup to download all my email, and not leave on the server. A reason I bought a WinMo device is so that I can sync my work email, that is not archived, and I have that setup, onto my phone. All seemed to work, until I noticed that certain emails are not being sync'ed for a reason I can not understand. And I have setup Activesync to download "all" mail, and all attachments with no size limits on to the storage card of 8GB and I have loads of space left.
Please help, as the whole reason to go to WinMo was the ability to carry my email with me, and I don't need to have the ability to send/recieve new emails from work/home, as that works fine over WiFi.
Thanks
Siddharth
Hello,
i don't know if this is the right subforum, but here is my question.
I installed the RTT-Leet Rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562479) which works very well.
I setup my gmail imap account and a few emails were downloaded but not all. Where can i tell the os that i want him to download ALL emails with all attachements from the server.
Furthermore, he synchronizes kind of strange. Yesterday, there were 6 e-mails in my inbox and today there are only 3, allthough i never deletet some from the server.
Hope, you understand what i mean.
Thanks for your help
I found a solution. I disabled HTC Sense and used the standard Windows GUI to set the options for download.
Then i activated HTC Sense again.

I've used BBC on My HTC TP2 for over a month and then WM Exchane sync with a gmail account also.
Although BBC provides a good option for push email, but it fails to provide
1. HTML mails
2. Links don't work within emails
3. In India with Vodafone in Delhi, HTC devices cannot have more than 3 email accounts.
4. You need to have multiple APN's at least 2, One for BBC, other for routine net surf.
5. With device like HTC TP2, HD2 etc without a D pad, next/ previous mail function annoying, close current email & then click next one to open
However I find WM Pushmail exchange better.
1. HTML mails
2. External links do work
3. PC type email interface
4. With devices w/o Dpad also, swipe across the screen changes to next email.
5. With a bit of work around you can have multiple emails on Exchange sync, with gmail, working as push mail
Create a new gmail account. In WM Activesync (disconnect from pc), in server settings create new exchange a/c with
Server address : m.google.com
u/name: [email protected]
password: your p/w
in Server setting choose only emails to sync.
You are done with creating exchange account to sync.
Now go to Schedule in Active sync
Set peak times as : As items arrive
Set Off-peak times as : As items arrive/ as per your choice
on bottom of this page Adjust peak times option is there, in which you may customize your peak hours.
Now on your PC login in your gmail account
Enter settings of gmail account
For the email accounts with pop/ smtp options available
go to Accounts and Import, here you can add accounts to
Check mail using POP3 ption, select the desirable setting
For the email accounts without pop/ smtp options
go settings of that email, set forwarding to your this gmail id
Next step is to differentiate emails form different accounts say 5 accounts.
In gmail creat 5 labels indicating import/ forwarded email accounts name such as dinesg gm, dinesh yahoo etc.
Next in Gmail filter options create filter/ rule for each imported account
as
Matches: to[email protected])
Do this: Skip Inbox, Apply label "XXXX GM", Never send it to SpamCheck
Creat rule for all 5 accounts
In Gmail activate Multiple Inbox
Set pane 0 to Search Query as the label created " XXXX GM"
and same for rest of email accounts with respective labels.
Now Gmail stores all incoming msgs from different account with different labels, treated as folders by WM Exchange servers.
On your WM PPC go to Inbox of email exchange account created.
Click Menu> Tools > Manage Folders
(Sync at least once before this step)
You'll see all created labels for various email accounts on your PC in gmail account as separate folders in Manage Folder option. Check all the folders you want to sync
And VOILA you have multiple emails synced as PUSH mails to your WM device with any special Blackberry Connect service, no PINS etc.
Additionally it works on Normal GPRS/ EDGE connection delivering HTML emails
Any people say Windows Mobile or Phone now-a-days are waste of money. No they are the most customizable piece of design available.
Enjoy
BB Connect on HTC TP2 WM 6.1 vs. 6.5
Hi, just a quick question
I have managed to get BB connect to work on a HTC TP2 running WM 6.1 using the tip from this forum to change the model ID to Raphael.
My question is if anyone has tryed this on a HTC TP2 running WM 6.5, will this work?
Regards
