WM6.1 Professional(build 20275) 12MB Pagepool for Polaris WWE

Friends,
WM6.1 ROM (build 20275) is finally out for testing. The released ROM uses 12MB of pagepool. You would like the speed of this ROM. I had been making many Himalaya ROMs (see my signature). Though I had been making many Polaris ROMs also for my personal use, but this is my first public release. I am sure you all shall like it.
MAIN Feature:
This ROM can be dumped and recooked. Unlike many of the cooks, no RGU have been deleted. No DSM has been deleted. And most of all, the ROM has not been crippled against dumping by deleting IMGFS signatures. So feel free to dump and modify upto your taste. And share the knowledge with the community. We can improve more by sharing the knowledge than keeping it secret.

General Notes: (Please Read before updating)
- There is readme.rtf inside the package. Pl read ir carefully.
- Remove SD card before update!
- There is no Radio or extended rom... JUST OS!
- You MUST install HARD SPL before going over a custom ROM.
Installation:
Install HARD SPL
Put device in bootloader mode.
Run ROMUpdateUtility.exe and good luck.

Sorry bro! it is WWE only at present. You can change the mui files and make it FRA.

I can change the language rom just with mui files? that method only works for apps not for the OS ?

I've flashed this ROM and I'm totally unable to type standard characters in "Notes" and in the Messaging Account Setup Wizard.
Sorry, but I will have to use another ROM. By the way, it comes with some tools that I find unnecessary.

Standard characters are coming fine in "Notes" on my polaris. see the thumbnail..

I will give this a shot. Just need to find that app list with most updated task manager and htc home!

ok 1 bug found is when your trying to change ringtones and notifications under settings>sounds and notifications, it wont allow any changes to any alert, infact if you try to ok out of the screen it even changes the ringtone from what was previously set by the install to the ring-WindowsMobile....???? and it will not allow you to exit that screen

i have uploaded your rom. so far there is a problem with writing sms text. numbers are working , but letters not. there is no phone keypad whilst in landscape mode, so i cant dial numbers at all. do you think you can fix it, and sent me link to fixed rom?

I think that this issue can be solved by this trick:
The main problem of sound files is DRM protection.
This is the part that we have to add somewhere into
registry (i prefer boot.rgu)

Shekhar, I don't know why it happens: each time I try to enter a character, sounds a beep (the one that sounds when you do something not allowed). I can enter spaces, carriage returns, accentuated chars, and symbols, but anyone from the latin alphabet.
This happens whatever the SIP is choosen.
I have never had a problem like this. Could it be because I flashed from the SD card? it's my first time.

This fix contain a new version of HTC Messaging and HTC Appointment...

Applied to 1.48 WWE (with InterWriter). Looks like this version is working much better, then before (with fix from 15.12.09).

I'm kinda exited Hoping this will be stable like all other phones.. A new function also, the number of SMS messages is shown after the name of the contact

It also seems that when you enter a contact, only a few messages is loaded. when you scroll up, it loads a few more. Maby thats the way they fixed the hang when having a lot of sms

No, it is not because of this update. I checked some days before on MyPhone online messages, and every from my HD2 (sent or recived) got this " - GSM" string. But I think, that this could be because of last SMS fix. Now I sent some messeges and there is no " - GSM" on the end of this messages.

it is depended on hotfile directory. one link equals one category(ROM)

I try and change some builds for my personal use, but it is just a hobby. I have used the kitchen files of ffboy2009 and l3v5y. Also, I have used packages from other ROMS - November5, arag0n85 and others.

I found a bug- when landscape mode is enabled, the animated screen freezes during the start up and the only solution is hard reset.
I will try to fix it and if I don't manage to do it I will remove the animation.

Fast and simple! It's my first unofficial rom i chose it because it's "clean". I use it with Resco Contact Manager for now everything working ok exept the GPS receiver wich drops out from time to time. It works ok for like 3 hours then IGO says "no GPS receiver found". A restart of the navi program solves the problem but if i don't move quickly enough the whole system freezes and i have to do a full reset. It can be verry anoying when the major junctions are at 3 hours distance . The problem seems to be time and not map complexity related. Thanks again for the ROM it's a charm..

Perhaps you have the problem with the A-GPS. There are some threads explaining how to switch off it and they say that without A-GPS aid , GPS works OK... Search a bit around....

Another more serious stuff: when I try to create a new SMS (Start\Text\Menu\New\SMS) nothing hapens.. altough i can receive SMS..

Thanks to a clean ROM.
This ROM through the Converter, T-01A are used in the notice mentioned several points.
- Input control panel is not displayed.

Would it be possible to replace the Arcsoft Powermobia Message software (which completly replaces the tmail.exe) with the original windows messaging system because sms is not working i tried everything thanks

Of course you are allowed to modify it. I just want to warn you that there is a bug with text sending and I still haven't found a solution for it.

I have installed vito's sms chat and changed the registry settings for the default texting application it works.. I've never made new ROMs but perhaps if you would copy the Microsoft's tmail.exe from another ROM instead of Arcsoft Powermobia tmail.exe..

This AWESOME! Its seems to be working flawlessly on my Nexus One on CM7 nightly rom. Will update more observations soon. God bless you for this.
Aside : I wish others with programming skills would make such amazingly meaningful apps instead of eye candy themes. I hope I learn android programming soon.

why you need that ?.... anyway... here is list of permission:

Contact saved from received vcard goes into 'phone only, unsynced' group. This cannot be synced with Gmail.
Can you please provide options to choose where/which account to save the contact in?

i am the only with installation problem?
from the device : there was error parsing the package
from adb install..
/adb install aha_signed.apk
1397 KB/s (109332 bytes in 0.076s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/aha_signed.apk
Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_UNEXPECTED_EXCEPTION]
tried to resing the apk, dosent help at all..
google about that and found that may be:
android:versionName="1.1"
can lead to problems (something about digit, which is not understood as digit etc...)
How can i modify AndroidManifest.xml ? ( i have found java -jar AXMLPrinter2.jar , which can "decode" it, but did not found how to "encode" it )
p.s. trying of android 2.1 (aka eclair) "stock" version

I think you have installed earlier version and now you are trying to install it without un-installing it.
try this:
adb install -r aha_signed.apk
if it doesn't work then un-install it manually and then try...

Hey, another request.
Am using this on Nexus One with a CM7 Nightly Tom.
Currently you need to scroll to select the contact you wish to send.
I use the search key, it pops up, but it does not register any entries and therefore cannot find the specific contact.
Can you please include a search option?

There is very easy work around for this.
Open Contacts App -> search contract -> menu -> share -> select "Share Contact" app -> You get the contact in "Share contacts" Application
Please let me know if it works for you
