My i-Mate Jam hangs immediately after i press the power key.
The same happens when phone tries to auto power off after the specified time provided in settings.
Any urgent help is welcome.

I had the exact same problem, pressing the power key nothing happens, screen stays on and the phone just stops working.
The way i fixed it was to hard reset multiple times and keep soft reseting in between.
Hi!
My volume up button seems to have freaked out. When i restart the phone it keeps loading the tricolor screen and i think it's because there's something wrong with the volume up button. Tried to looked at it but can't see anything wrong with it. Suggestions? possible to disable the volume button hardware-wise?
Furhter, it doesn't help to press the power on button for a couple of seconds still loading the tricolor screen.
Thanks!
try messing with the volume down button, that's the one that puts you in the bootloader good luck
Unfort. that doesn't work
It does now boot into Windows mobile, however as the volume button is stucked the "volume up/down, vibrate, silent screen" keeps poping up as the phone reacts to the volume buttons being "pressed". Possible to disable the volume buttons functionality?
There's probably a registry entry for that, but I have no idea where to find it
Does anyone know if it's possible to process a factory reset on the device using a key combination? My device freezes up immediately upon getting to the wallpaper lock screen.
Try holding down Up+Down volume, then power up. If that doesn't work use a third finger to hold down the camera button, too. One of those combinations did it for me...
Do not do what i just did...
Unless you mean to...
Holding down the camera, and both volume buttons, while powering up the device will bring up a "COLD BOOT" screen. if you release all the buttons, and leave the device alone while that screen sits, your device will boot up like its out of the box...WITH ALL CONTENT DELETED!
Be warned, or be educated; holding down these buttons does not hard boot the device, it resets it to factory.
Hi,
i have a htc touch hd with energy rom installed, i have read about the volume problem with this rom but i would like to make sure this is software related before i got any further, anyway heres my problem - as soon as i switch the phone on, everything loads then the volume up button presses itself constantly, causing the phone to constantly beep, if i then restart the phone, it vibrates 3 times and fails to come on, i have to remove the battery for a minute or so to get the phone back on then the same happens again.
so i installed the latest version of energy rom and it still happens except the volume control screen has been removed so now whenever im in a menu or drop box, it constantly changes the selected item to the option above (as if im physically pressing the volume up button).
is this software related or is the volume button physically broken.
the reason i ask before trying the patch is because the phone will need reflashin to be able to install the patch (because it will not work with the vol button stuck) and if i reflash with a stuck volume button it might crash and brick the phone. if its a hardware fault i am capable of fixing it myself.
First time using Android, not sure what to do, the only things I can press are the power button and the volume buttons.
Everything has been fine for its first few days, battery was full. I think it went to a lock screen now I can't get the screen to respond.
RMA it dude
Have you tried a hard reset?
Try and turn off the phone if not try next step
Press and hold the Volume Down key and Power key at the same time.
Continue to hold the keys until the device turns back on.
When the device turns on, release the Power key and continue to hold the Volume Down key until you see the reset screen (Android in a Box).
Release the keys. The phone will restart.
This is assuming you are not rooted, unlocked, or have installed custom recovery.
Hope this helps

Thanks! I had the same issue this morning, this worked fine. No idea why it went blank though.
Thanks. Had the same issue. The phone was turned on and the volume buttons made that clicking sound, but no screen. This worked for me with some modification.
After holding volume down + power I had to release both and press power only to start it again.
Thanks for the solution
