Paragraphs disappearing when sending emails? - XPERIA X1 General

Hi guys,
A persistant issue here.. Not sure why..
When I send an email via hotmail, quite often when I view the message back via the sent messages, all my carriage returns have been removed, therefore, all the text ends up as one big paragraph..
This has happened intermittently since i have had the phone, i have also during the course had three hard resets, and have the new firmware too..
What could it be that is wrong?
Help please.

surely I am not the only one???
Am I?

New SMS notifications - won't disappear

Im sorry if this has already been discussed but i couldnt put into words really for a search criteria, im sure im not the only person with this problem.
When an SMS arrives a little green 1 will show by the "letter" on touchFLO 3d, sometimes when you scroll to read the message the little green 1 (or 2 or whatever) doesnt disappear and i have to keep clicking the mail icon, or go into the WM6 message inbox to change it from "New" to "Read".
I think it happens with the email part too, not just SMS.
Anyone know how to solve this, it's as annoying as thrush.
Sorry about my punctuation, i'm from Wales, hehe

Thrush !
It's annoyingly slow to register as read... there may be a registry tweak but a search revealed nothing yet
Thats a Shame I really thought someone else would have susses this with all the tweaks and tidbits.
I am having the same problem but with the email notification. Anyone have any ideas?
I have the same pb any suggestion?
Just try to click on the message and it will be open in the text mode and then close it.
I guess what the last post suggests doesn't work for the OP, at least it doesn't work for me. None of my messages are highlighted as 'unread', yet the 'unread SMS' notification at in TouchFlo doesn't disappear.
Anyone has any idea how to get rid of it ?
Thanks
Have the same problem with email...stuck at 2 even thouch all mails have been deleted or read.
Thanks

May I ask if deleting the account itself remove the erroneous counter?

ResetUnreadCount.cab
Guys,
Check your Outlook inbox to make sure there is no unread mails there. The TF3D does not show the Outlook account but the counter in the mail tab does.
I solved my problem that way.

excellent, that worked. many thanks !
You're welcome, this place is a plethora of knowledge.
unfortunately it turns out the cab works only until i recieve a new message, after that the '1 unread message' notification appears again and stays even after i've read the new message.... so i'm back to where I started.
still thanks for the help. any other ideas ?
came across this bit of software but don't know whether it'll act any different from the cab.
Have you looked through every folder in the account-tree yet? Make sure they're all being synchronised as some Imap\webmail accounts can act funny (Inbox\Menu\Tools\Manage folders).
But perhaps the only thing left is to backup and hard reset (without backing up the mailfolders of course)? And otherwise it means executing the cab every time it happens again..

Same Problem with my HTC HD Mini dude.. What to do.?
Where are your contacts located ? SIM Card ? Phone memory ? or both ?
Try to keep your contacts only in phone memory, not on SIM card.
Sounds like a corruption of the contacts database. Did any of you use a syncing process such as ActiveSync or MyPhone?
I'd suggest a hard reset, then make sure the contacts are correct on the host (Outlook or MyPhone) then try resyncing and see if it sorts it.
A pain to do, but probably no worse than sending your messages to the wrong place!
i dont sync my phone at all. but maybe this is caused by PIMBackup? i did use it to transfer data from my old phone
I notice the problem on the Notifications in the Lock Screen. Often, the older or previous missed call ID will be displayed, instead of the latest missed call ID.
I hope HTC can issue a fix or update to correct this problem.

Could be- PIMBackup is not fully compatible with WM 6.5.3 It caused major SMS problems on cooked 6.5.3 ROMs on the HD2.
Once you have the correct contacts on the phone, Microsoft MyPhone is a much better option.

Sometimes I have the same problem!
HTC we need a fix!
the problem is caused by WM6.5
Same problem on a HTC clone. The problem is WM6.5: when you receive a call with hidden ID, the phone shows the previous call's number instead of telling you that the ID is hidden. I couldn't find any solution yet. Windows Mobile is ****.

[Q] e-mail message received as SMS

Sorry for the slight off-topic from the normal questions here but since this has happened with two other android phones in addition to my G2 I cant imagine that someone else does not have this problem as well.
This has happened rooted or not rooted. It has happened with the stock ROM as well as Cyanogen.
Sometimes when an E-MAIL message comes in from one of the email accounts I have setup on the phone it also comes in and can be viewed thru the SMS or MMS messaging, but the message is cut off.
The messages I am talking about that can be seen as SMS/MMS are NOT being sent to the e-mail address [phonenumber]@tmomail.net. They are coming to three separate private domain email addresses.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Any way of preventing a e-mail message being seen as a SMS/MMS message. I hope I am explaining this clearly.
This happened to me today. You're not crazy. It rarely occurs though.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using telepathy and unicorn dust!
how do you do that in the first place?
I would LOVE to view my emails as sms!

SMS Problems when text is longer than one page

Hi guys,
Just wondering if anybody can help me with this problem I am having with my Samsung Galaxy i5800...
Sometimes when I receive a text message that is longer than the maximum number of characters in 1 text message...my phone will mix the remainder of the text up with a previous message from my inbox.
Does anybody know what the problem could be here? I have tried deleting my convos and minimizing the number of messages in each convo to no more than 500 and the problem still occurs. I took the phone to the carphone warehouse where they installed the most recent software onto the phone but I am still convinced this is a problem with the software and not the network - never had this kind of trouble with my network and I have been with them for at least 5 years.
Cheers,
Lewis
This doesn't answer your problem completevely, but you could use an alternative messaging application. At least as a workaround if you can't get this fixed, maybe you could use it only for longer messages or something.
Or try reinstall soft.

Cheers, tried this but the problem still persisted...think I will just send the phone back and try getting a complete new handset.
It maybe the service career's fault and not the phone's.....
