wielrd problem: X1 think it has headset connected when it is not - XPERIA X1 General

tonight I just found that for some reason my phone stop ringing.... so I thought I must have turn on vibrate mode for some reason but find out it is not... then after a soft reset the headset icon shows up on the top when there is nothing attached to the phone!!
anyone seen this before?? or know how to fix it?? I tried plug in the headset and remove it but the icon is still there....

yea i was also facing the same problem . then i submitted my handset to S.E and they also dont knw abt the problem so they told me that they will replace the hardware totally and give it to me after 8-10 days

in my case the problem went alone after pluging unpluging the heaset and few restarts...
i was wondering cuz the radio worked PERFECT without the headset, shame there is no way to "force" this problem when desired

solve "Error:no Bluetooth hardware" issue without

hi
this issue comes everyday thats mean i have to reset my device many times. but i figured a solution to aviod resetting the device.
if the issue come out:
1- press "Turn on flight mode"
2- press "Turn off flight mode"
3- next, press on bluetooth icon and u may face a message that would said "Make sure that u have ... bla bla bla"
4- the problem solved and u can use the bluetooth without reset.
have a nice day 8)
thanks man.......
You can also try to open the Bluetooth setting of the control panel. This will also enable the bluetooth without soft reset. This problem maybe caused by wrong wait timeout while enabling bluetooth hardware.
this is a good trick, I try this on next error message
But as I can see many of us got the problem.
this must be a fix issue on next ROM
i didn't use the bluetooth patch which came inside the ext rom and i don't have problems with the bluetooth at all...

thanx alot for telling me that, from now i wil ignore installing patch_bthusb
yaaay i figured out a new way to solve the issue by using buzzlayer SwitchIT tools....
1- download the latest version of SwitchIT and install it.
2- assign a button or add shortcut at pocket plus (Bluetooth Switch or Bluetooth Switch Discoverable)
3- while the bluetooth is off press on SwitchIT button/shortcut and turn off the screen then return it on.
bingo, the bluetooth work again without any problems...
@PapaDocta :
BTW, it tried to ignore install the patch but i faced the same no hardware issue
@NightmarE
SwitchIT is a very good app... but i have noticed something that when i do a soft rest sometimes the device won't boot.. it will stuck at the Imate image.. and i'll have to soft rest a couple of times to get the device to boot... i think it's switchIT because i just did a hard rest and installed only SwitchIT without any other application and still have this problem... could ya check if you have the same thing with ya?!

nothing at all, thats weird ... do you think this is a hardware issue?
not sure... but could be since i'm having problems with gprs connection can't hold a connection for a few minutes without disconnection!! i'm about to break this phone..

Power button not always working.

This JasJar I have Always have problem waking up after period of inactivity. If I had it powered off for too long, I cannot bring it back to life with any hardware button, except the reset. Usually I can still see the green light flashing indicating the phone in on and working. But I had also tried to call it, but it won't ring. As a PDA the problem wouldn't bother me too much, but as a Smartphone it mean I might have missed a few important calls
the only solution i have now is i go to settings, power, advanced and i disable the "turn off device if not use for" option
it works all the time with me but it eats the battery, specially if i am connecting my BT headset
Please if anyone has a solution let me know
thanks
i forgot to say that it happens even if i take the SIM card out of the device, so i do not think it is a SIM card issue
i do not have and SD cards
Any Help?
it happens randomly with no specific reason, but I tend to believe it's due to a third party s/w. If you made a hard reset and kept using the device with only the standard applications, the device will be very stable except the bluetooth issues.
The issue of the PPC power button, whatever a soft one or a hard one, has been consistently existed since I bought my first PPC with PPC2000. I am so disappointed that it is exactly the same case after some 6 years...
It is usually due to some imcompatibility between the system and some today-enhancing add-ons, which seem necessary for us but sometimes however causing problems like a deep snooze...
thanks for ur answers, actually i do not think it is related to 3rd party applications on today screen plugins, since i already had reflashed my device and i am running now with no applications installed, i am not sure what Phono can do for me i will try to contact them today and see if i can get a replacement or what?
yet any other ideas will be really appreciated
Same problem in my device can any one help me Please
Hey, I had this problem too...
The only way I stopped my PDA from freezing like this was to disable the auto power off feature in Settings/System/Power and keep the backlight turned on (but lower without it plugged in) Settings/System/Backlight.
This helps with other bits too, makes the delay in the unit from ringing less and connection time faster.
Regards.
Dave.

Did any experts here got a solution to this? I really don't know why it happened.. I am using MDA from T-Mobile..
still no solution !!
a small update here, i've noticed that this problem does not happen if i am connecting my universal to the power charger, it only happenes if it works on battery, maybe there is sensor or so needs to be replaced ..!!
i am wondering, is it a hardware problem?
do i have to replace my universal ?? or maybe there is something to do with the software or bootloader?

Um.. Today i tried to "tick off" the battery off option under the "System" page.. it works fine for the entire day.. And battery eats up is just normal. Anyway.. I think it's related to some software conflict of resources but not hardware.. um.. at least, this is one of the solution!

bluetooth not working?!?!

Ok, I will try to make my probmen more clear...
I bought my Prophet (QTEK S200) in March and everything has been working fine (also bluetooth) till few weeks ago when, all of a sudden, my prophet start taking more than 4 minutes to boot. I try removing some hacks or uninstalling soem programs, but nothing. After few weeks I realise that actually also BT is not working: in comm manag, there should be an X on the BT button when turned off, but I see none; instead the BT icon is green but the blu led is not blinking. I try clicking on he BT button several times, but nothing changes: still the icon is green, no X and no blue led. I try also with SETTINGS > BLUETOOTH > MODE tab: I check the "Turn on BT" box and press ok, but nothing, because when go back to the tab the box is not checked anymore.
Yesterday I uninstalled an old version of Skype and installed the nw one, turned on my WIFI and chatted for a while: all ok. Then I open PIE and browse some sites and all of a sudden the prophet freezes. I soft reset (with the stylus) and guess what: the prophet takes less than 2 minutes to boot. I try to soft reset few more times: same fast boot. So I go and check the BT: it works properly now!!!!!
An finally I plug the USB cable to sync the prophet with Active Sync 4.2: sync is done. Then I soft reset again and guess what?!?!?! 5 minutes to boot and no BT working!!! SGRUNT!!!!!
Ok, I say, time for a hard reset: I press the two buttons on the left side and I use the stylus, press green button at prompt and hard reset starts. Guess what? The prophet takes 5 minutes to reach he windows logo and the first time wizard. I try 3 more times, same result. And when the prophet is up and running (after restore of original settings) BT is still not working...
I do not know what to think. To me it looks that the BT problem and the long boot are related. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Try the Hardreset. If the device will work well after that - it is just software problem. If no - sorry...
As i said, I tried hard reser, and still not working

any one can help !!! please
Hi there,
i'm also having lot of troubles with my Prophet.
My opinion, but not sure as many other are using it successfully, it that it comes from the A2DP patch.
It started by the phone feature. I can't use it without using the Bluetooth headset (without headset, i have only noise in the speaker, also in the headphone plugged on the bottom). Then it started with Bluetooth that woudln't turn on. So no way to make calls anymore (shame for a phone...). And from this evening, i see issues also with WLAN!!! I can't turn it on.
Hard reset, flashing a new ROM, Radio ROM doesn't change anything.
I am desperated, i now need to flash it back to German O2 ROM and give it to repair to O2. Hoping they will not see it has been flashed with other ROM.
btw: could someone taking German <please> find me an adress for an O2 shop near Aachen? I can't find by myself on the O2 web pages. Many thanks in advance.
NO BT!!!
thegios, I exactly have the same problem, did you find a solution to your problem? NO BT, 5 minutes boot up time!!!

telephone replaced... (under warranty luckly...)
it looks like the broken bluetooth affects somehow the boot procedure
Oh no... I have this exact same issue... so it must be the ad2p hack... did we all have this? My phone take 5 minutes to boot and no BT too.... exactly the same!!! check my threads~~!
I did no ad2p hack
m... so the dealer wasn't able to repair it? i already have a mother board replacement... i don't want another one...
repair? do u think that for them it's cheaper to repair than to replace?
the dealer we have here seems to beleive so... they refuse to give replacements. and all they do is provide shotty repairs so you have to keep going back. its frustrating. This phone has caused me a lot of headaches.
I bought it in a big mall, so what the shop did is to package it and send it to the dealer and in 8 days i got back my same phone with simply the WHOLE motherboard replaced, which means new rom, new mac address, new everything
only front and back cover are the same
maybe.... cos I found a tape to cover infrared, so maybe they kept nly front cover, since also the power button feels different (not it is harder to push it)
loki bluetooth problem

myself too !!!!!
i have done all you said but same problems
i noticed that when you got windows mobile screen if you dont see the blue light
you can anyway reboot cause you wont got bluetooth at the end of the boot
when i associate a bluetooth gps, it s sucks...
anyway i m in the same s**** .
i think it's a hardware problem....
waitin for any another experiment to solve this f*** problem...
its a hardware... I installed a new rom and bluetooth worked until it was reboot... and also it would stop working when i left the phone alone for a few hours... MB had to be replaced...
my prophet also needs more than 4 minutes to boot. but my bluetooth is working and i don't see any other error. what can i do?

Phone thinks headphones are plugged in on boot.

Like it says in the title. Since this morning the phone thinks headphones are plugged in on boot, it shows the symbol in the top right corner. But there are no headphones at all
I did some flashing this morning, that may have caused it? But the strange thing is: If i wipe everything, and flash a new rom, the problem still exists, with different roms. It gets even stranger: when i connect the phone to my computer by usb, and then disconnect it, the symbol disappears, but when the phone is still connected, it shows a symbol for a headphone with a mic attached to it, if you know what i mean
Any help with this? I am stuck here since wiping and flashing new roms doesnt solve anything...
I had a similar problem with my Xperia X1. The problem was my headphone jack got stuck (meaning the little pin that indicates whether something is plugged in got stuck). Wat solved the problem for me was taking a small pin and poke around till you un-stuck the plug. Have had this problem with my hero once but a reboot solved the problem.

Maybe i should also tell you, that after the usb-cable has been connected and disconnected, everything works fine, until the next boot, so that is strange if it is a hardware fault isn't it?
mine used to have this problem, and was annoying as the phone could only be used for calls in speakerphone mode, or with the headset.
The problem kind of waned away, but when it returns I use headset toggle widget (google) to switch the headset off when I need sound to come from the handset.
Mine had that problem some days ago, i flashed other kinds of ROM's and all that but the phone still showed that a headset was plugged in.
The next day, it was all fine.
Could be dust or something inside the jack that's causing this problem?
I think it is a software problem but definitely not a ROM problem, i had this problem before on 1.5 and 2.1. It usually appears after being turned on or rebooted. What i found was that if you turn off the phone without waiting a while to turn back on it is more likely to appear. Sometimes i would poke a headphone around until it went away, sometimes when i do this it brings up a call screen but it doesnt actually make the call. Really weird. What i did to keep this problem away is to turn off the phone for the night when i sleep.

Dude, it seems more or less battery port/connections are loose. I don't think it has something to do with s/w. Open back lid and check if the battery is moving/wobbling.. I guess if you fix that you issue is fixed.
I'm having a different problem. External earphone not detected unless I press the jack slightly to the back.
I'm using Bluetooth earphone instead.

Hey, you do not know about the phone. The battery is internal. So it is not removal. You can see videos about nokia 6 opening in youtube.

Nokia 6 Frozen
I am also having a similar problem. The screen freezes, no buttons work. This issue has come 2 times over the last 20 days. Both times i was using the google navigator /maps and was shifting between applications --> and suddenly frozen. Since Nokia 6 does not have a removable battery , I had wait it out for another 5-6 hrs till battery drained completely and I recharged it. But during travel in unknown area when your phone abandons you, you feel handicapped.
Thank You
