Another Xperia and bluetooth problem... - XPERIA X1 General

Hi, guys. I have a problem with my xperia and hands-free bluetooth funcionality (I have tested with several hands-free). In half of a call, I start to hear the voice through the phone, and not through the hands-free, but the bluetooh is turned on, and I'm able to manage the phone through the hands-free (I can see the contacts, start and finish a conversation, etc). Simply the sound is in the phone, not in the hands-free.
I have too the same problem that everybody has (the bluetooh turns off), and I had fix it with BTKeepAlive.CAB, published in this forum (Thanks to the creator)
¿Anyone can help me?

I'm having a similar problem, but with my in-ear bluetooth hands-free.
When making a call, either from the phone or by redialing with the hands-free, the sound ends up in the phone. When answering an incoming call, either with the phone or with the handsfree, sound ends up in phone.
I've tried three different handsfrees (two SonyEricsson and one Invisio), with same result.
The strange thing is, when having an ongoing call, with the sound in the phone as stated above, I can hear a low noice in the handsfree, indicating that it is active. When pressing menu, the only option, regarding handsfree, is "Turn handsfree off".
Is there anyone that has a solution to this?

I believe I can aswer this myself after following an instruction in another thread here on XDA, even if the solution sounds a bit strange:
I've made a hardreset, and re-installed every program that I want, everything with Bluetooth turned OFF. After that, I turned BT on and added my handsfree. Now its working super.

Problem - BT Headset delay - Any fixes or hacks??

When I press the button on the BT headset to answer incoming call the ringing stops on the caller end and on the cingular 8125 (rom 2.25), but there's a 2-3 second delay before the phone actually connects the call to the BT headset.
On the caller side they have 2-3 seconds of dead airtime, after the ring stops. Because of the connection delay, the caller is already saying hello - hello - hello (etc) thinking the call has been answered.
I've tried 3 different bluetooth headsets (Moto 850, Plantronics 645 & 655, Jabra JX10) and they all experience the same problem.
I've verified it's not associated with the 3 second ring delay issue (posted on XDA) - phone rings almost immediately.
Any thoughts, recommendations, hacks/tweaks will greatly be appreciated. This is becoming more of a problem, as I use my phone mostly for business.
Otherwise the phone has been outstanding.
BT headset delay
I have the same issue with T-mobile MDA and Jabra BT250V. Not only does the delay confuse callers, but they hear the ring tone and buzzing of the vibrator before they hear me... hello...hello...hello. It really sucks.
I have tried a Motorola headset (H350) the delay is shorter but the headset sound quality sucks. I was going to try the Jabra JX10 next and hope for the best.
I've also tried using the "BT on" feature of PocketZenPhone to avoid the delay. Not a satisfactory solution.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Is anyone answering calls on their BT headset and getting a quick connection? Is this just me?????

i have the moto HT820 stereo bluetooth headset and experience nothing like that, even when running my bluetooth gps reciever... the call is answered as soon as i hit the button... only problem i have is the lagging and skipping music, but i dont listen to music so its not a problem
My H700 delays on both of my Qteks (Wizard and Prophet). It only delays if I close the boom. If I leave the headset with the boom open it picks up right away when I press the side button. With the boom closed when it rings, I find that if I open the boom I have to wait 2-3 seconds for the sound to transfer. If I open the boom and press the button, 2-3 seconds it will hang up on the caller because I guess opening the boom is picking it up already
However, my HT820 stereo headset doesn't have any of those problems. Quick and easy, picks up right away; however there's no boom. My Bluespoon AX5 doesn't delay either.

Cingular 8525 and Motorola H700 BT headset

Hi All: I have paired the headset fine with my phone and made calls before but I can not switch a call from the handset to the headset while a call is already in progress. Once I end the call, I can pair the headset fine to make a NEW call but I'm having problems switching the call when it is already in progress. I can go to the phone and manually switch it to hands free but I thought that if I powered on the headset while a call was already in progress, that would route the conversation from the handset to the headset. Is that correct or can it not do this without some tweaking? Thanks.
I have the same setup and I can answer the call on the phone, then "open" the H700 and the phone re-directs the call thru the headset within about 2 seconds from opening the headset.
If I'm on the headset, I can press and hold the call button on the H700 and the call goes on hold. I can "close" the headset and then un-hold the phone using the touch screen and resume the call on the 8525.
Now I believe that the standard bluetooth stack is crap, and I have had many instances where the phone just stops linking the Bluetooth. I can usually restore the link just by using the comm manager to turn off the bluetooth radio, then turning it back On. I have even done this during a call and it worked.
I have always had solid, loud audio with the H700, BUT, several callers have mentioned that my voice was often clipping a word every few seconds. I don't know what that's all about.
Do you know whether you need to select any special settings or do anything special in the pairing setup with the phone or headset? I do not know how to have the conversation directed to the headset after turning it on when I am already on the call. It works fine to start a new call or to answer a call directly through the headset but can't join a call in progress. Would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks.

Bluetooth Handsfree problem: answering from the handset

HI all,
I got a t-mobile Vario II and have a plantronics 655 handsfree. I have searched the forum but found nothing that answers my problem.
I want to be able to answer a call from the phone and when the handsfree is paired the sound to come through the handsfree. I have tried a few handsfree kits but none seem to work and all the calls come through the phone until i pull the handsfree out of my ear hit answer n put it back in. Am i missing something? I want to be able to answer a call from the phone and talk through my handsfree. When i make a phone call however from the phone it works fine and the sound comes through the handsfree like it should.
I read something about a handsfree profile...where is that? i don't have a handsfree profile option on my phone. Is it an add-on. I tried the handsfree with my ericsson phone and when u answer from the phone it asks if i want the audio through the handset or the handsfree..
hellpppppp...its driving me madd lol
I Take it no one knows the answer to this or has created a patch? Does everyone answer there phone from the answer button on the bluetooth handsfree then? ??
What you are trying to do, is contrary to the feature designed into your dialer. When you answer the phone call from the phone instead of the connected headset, you obviously wanted to talk via the phone not the headset so that is where it routes the call. You can get it back to the headset after you answered on your phone by selecting the menu option and selecting "Turn Handsfree On".
similar issue
I have an ATT branded 8525, and a Motorola H550.
I'm using the built in voice dialer, as I really don't feel like shelling out any more money for voice commander, when I'm paying for the spb products I have (pocketplus, mobile shell, and phone suite).
With other phones, I could use the phone (by hand) to dial a number, while wearing the BT headset, and it would automatically put the conversation on the phone.
This doesn't.
Also, when I receive a call, I don't get the ringtones I have selected for specific callers, just a generic beep.

That issue is actually unrelated. The issue that arnie_ahu has is trying to do something differently than the phone design. However, your issue is a real issue. Dialing on the phone and pressing call should send the call to the headset if it is connected properly. The ony conclusion I can think of is that it is not connected properly as a headset.
In my experience, this is Bluetooth device specific. When I use my Jawbone, I can answer on the phone and the conversation will be on the Jawbone. However, if I use a Plantronics 320 and answer on the phone, the conversation will be on the phone.
The reason why I answer using the phone instead of using the Bluetooth headset is out of courtesy to the caller. For some reason, when I answer with a Bluetooth device, the caller hears a very loud sound that is reminiscent of a fog horn. I have experienced this with multiple phones and headsets. I am guessing this is related to the Bluetooth handshake.
edited: spelling correction.
It may be (for me) because I am using mp3 ringtones on a mono earpiece.
From what I have found on line, that won't work with WM5, which sucks, because it worked on my old piece of crap nokia 6230.
Why oh why must this be so hard?
Now I have to try and convert the mp3 ringtones I made from full songs to something the phone will use.

Bluetooth headset and phone speaker questions

I just bought a bluetooth headset (SE DS220) which is working great - I listen to music and take/ring calls. However i have two strange issues I wonder if it is possible to fix:
1. While I am using the bluetooth headset my phone still rings if I receive an incoming call - I would like for the phone to be silent and for it to "ring" in my headset. If I turn off the sound in my phone then I can't listen to music either.
2. When I receive an incoming call I have to answer it with the button on the bluetooth unit - if I answer with the phone then the call is switched to the phones speakers. Is it possible to change this behaviour?
Thanks in advance!

If your Device switch to the Phone Speaker ... you havent connect the Headset Profil in the Blue Tooth config.

There is a tick in the box for the headset profile and the icon comes up in the status field. It only switches if I answer with the buttons on the phone.
Noone has any ideas? Hasn't anyone else this problem?
I am not sure, but why dont you just answer the call with the headset.

That's what I do - my biggest issue is the first question:
While I am using the bluetooth headset my phone still rings if I receive an incoming call - I would like for the phone to be silent and for it to "ring" in my headset. If I turn off the sound in my phone then I can't listen to music either.
BT headset problems
I have an xda2 i and I have the problem that even when the headet is connected, at times an incoming call won't broadcast over the headset at all, and equally if i dial out the call doesn't transfer to the headset.
Curiously, I've found the solution is to go into bluetooth manager -->active connections--> and click on STATUS of the head set connected. it should show signal strength and such. I double click on the CONNECTED message (oor maybe somewhere on the screen, basically double tap until it reads NOT CONNECTED ..... as odd as it sounds... this is what i needed... as when I do this, it usually works ok for me.
Maybe it will help?

Calling problems with smartwatch connected

Hi hello guys how are you. So i have th essential phone and the gear s3 frontier. When the watch is paired to the phone whenever i receive or make a phone call even using the phones dialer. I would get no sound at all. The other person cant hear me either. I noticed that even if i pick up a call with the phone it would automatically switch to the watch. I think it might be a glitch thinking is more like a radio Bluetooth. So even if i switch to the phone or speaker. No audio at all. If i turn off the Bluetooth everything is back to normal. Any suggestions. I would like to keep on using my watch. Sometimes im not near my phone and would like to talk through the watch. If i go into the Bluetooth settings i can toggle the option for voice calls. I would get the notification when receiving a call but on the watch i cant only decline now.
You have to go in BT settings and set the watch not to be used for phone audio
no audio when answering an incoming call, while paired with a smartwatch
hi,
I'm experiencing the same thing, but I would use another title for the bug (see above).
The answer in post #2 is helping me to get audio when answering a phone call, BUT I can't use my smartwatch (Gear S3) for making calls or answering calls anymore.
So when I disable the "phone audio" in the smartwatch Bluetooth connection profile, the phone sends the audio to the earpiece, as no audio Bluetooth device is connected --> audio is available when answering the call.
But as I want to use my smartwatch for making and answering calls, I'd like to get a solution for this.
Side note: there is no audio on both ends. I can't hear the other end and the other end can't hear me. And the "no audio" thing is only present for the first 10 seconds of a call. After that the audio starts to work on both ends via phone (when watch is connected as BT audio device).
