Hello!
My father lended his MDA Pro aka HTC Universal to me. Its running on WM5, my PC on XP SP3 and I have issues with synchronization via USB-Cable. Active Sync 4.5 tries to connect to it but it always fails. I have no idea what to do now. Soft-reset didn't bring a change and google neither
Hope you can help me!

I'm having the same problem. I could sync my Jam with the computer (using ActiveSync 4.0), but whenever I try the K-Jam, I get the Blue Screen of Death. I've tried AS 4.1 without any success.
I can get the K-Jam to sync with AS 4.0 on another computer though. I think it may be a problem with the USB drivers though. I'm looking into it...
Regards,
Rajesh
Try going to the manufacturer of you compter and update the USB drivers. This seems to have help fix this problem for some people over at HoFo.
Hi All,
Ijust bought a k-jam. it was working gr8, till all of a sudden it lost connection with AS 4.0.0 (build 4343). AS detects the device and starts connecting and just hangs there, and on the device AS starts but it doesn't do anything. I deleted all the partnerships from both the PC and the Device and still nuthin.
Can anyone help me here?
thanks
Mustafa

I have a Himalaya with buzzmobile 1.60c
I had the same. It worked for 10 days, then suddenly it stopped synching via USB.
If I want to synch I can only do it via BT, that is a pain because I used to synch via BT at home and cradled at my office.
Now that I MUST synch via BT on both PCs I have to pair my device every time
I tried everything: removed the "ghost" network adapter, installed USB drivers from scratch, uninstalled /installed AS 4.1 100+ times but nothing.
I gave up, hoping that as it stopped to sync, one day I will start again
Any idea will be welcome.
I have problems with the MDA pro.
If I will sync the mda with the computer, the computer shout down.
the amusing is the sync with my xda mini is ok, no error or so.
only with syncronisation with that MDA pro get the computer shout down.
which can be for a problem ?
help me please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sync problems in Vista
The reason for your problem is that the RTM version of Vista don't have Windows Mobile Device Center included because it was still in beta. To get the latest beta available download it from: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx
I have no problem to sync my P3600 on Vista with the beta software.
Greetings
/Jan
In addition to sync/exchange files, which worked even without the above mentioned software, as it will see the Trinity as just another USB memory (drive letter) device, you'll need this beta software to install/add any non-cab file based programs on the Trinity.

So you guys can Sync files and outlook in Vista?
I have the Mobile Device Centre Beta 3 installed for use with my 6828 and all I get is Sync my media files.
Anyone else experienced problems with not being able to sync outlook data or being able to install programs?
Yes, I had a lot of problems getting the partnership with P3600 working. I was trying to pair it via Bluetooth, but that didn't work either. I then tried installing some Toshiba bluetooth drivers for my Dell TrueMobile BT, that installation failed but somehow Vista recovered by reinstalling its own BT-drivers and after that I got a perfect ActiveSync connection over Bluetooth.
Every now and then I get some sync errors, and most of the time these are solved by closing Outlook 2007 and then resyncing (which starts Outlook in a hidden thread). Rebooting the notebook helps also of course.
I've Vista too and my trinity was recognized automatically. The only problem is that i can't install application by Mobile Device Center because every program ask me to install Active Sync 4.2 but Vista not permit to install any release of active sync.
Hey all, sorry for the remedial questions, but I am pulling my hair out trying to get my phone connected to my laptop thru ActiveSync via Bluetooth. I have the verizon xv6800, running dcd 2.3.2, activesync 4.5 and windows XP.
Anyone have a noob step by step? I have read the phone docs and the activesync docs and I cannot get it. My ports are matching and I can "connect" to the laptop, meaning my pc sees it as a bluetooth device and vice versa.. but not transfer anything or connect via activesync.
Thanks.
bump
