Dream don't work after hard SPL - G1 General

Hello to all.
Today, after I installed the Hard Spl (I have a Dream Italian Tim running unlocked with this guide:http://www.androidiani.com/news/finisce-il-dream-di-tim-guida-allhacking-dellhtc-g1-tim-1677), I have mistakenly pressed a button trying to put fastboot mode and now the device is fixed on the screen with different colored horizontal bands: red under the green, then blue and finally white. I can't move from there. What do I do? Help me please!!!
Thanks in advance!
Here is the screen that appears (in the photo isn't my dream)

Press Call+Menu+End to exit SPL. However, that is not what HardSPL looks like.

I know that what is not the Hard Spl like.I think he had accidentally flash a firware that was in sd. However, how do I put it back affixed? With the buttons that you suggested I press nothing happens.

Don't alarm yourself! The rainbow screen is normal and revertable.
Taking out the battery and putting it back in should do the trick.
Regarding fastboot. Explain to us the steps you used (especially specificate the mistake) so that someone can tell you were you did wrong. Personally i dont know much about the matter and i will restrain from giving you undeatailed info. Sorry, i cant help that much. But if you would need, i know italian, so i can translate.

OK, grate thanks a lot! But i don't know how i get the Htc on th rainbow screen. I belive that I have accidentally installed, after the installation of Spl, a mistaken firmware in the SD. How con I fix it?
P.s.
D'oh!!

The rainbow screen is the G1 bootloader that shows up when powering up by pressing camera+power buttons simultaniousley,
i belive thats what you did to install the HardSpl, no?
Make reference to this thread for more info on SPL's
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=455860

Yes, I used that topic for install the SPL. Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=455860 in the third photo there is the rainbow screen.
As the carry-over to the state functioning?

Oh, i understand.
You still get your rainbow bootloader (aka. G1's original bootloader) lol. Sorry that took me so long to understand xD.
That means you did something wrong in the process of updating you SPL. Because Hard SPL would look like the 1st picture(gray, with androids on skateboards ) not the other one.
Here's what you had to do to get Hard SPL, make sure you did everything right:
Installation
The SPLs are packaged in the familiar update.zip format and install from the recovery console in the same fashion as other update files.
1. If you are installing onto a G1, your G1 must have a modified recovery partition(or root). If you have one of JesusFreke's Android builds installed, then you have a modified recovery partition.
2. Download the desired SPL zip file (attached below), rename it to update.zip and copy it to the root of your sdcard. As usual, remember to use a USB cable with a ferrite core and dismount your USB drive before disconnecting.
3. Reboot the phone into recovery console(pressing home+power) and flash the update with Alt+S.
4. To confirm it has installed properly, power on the G1 with Power+Camera to enter the bootloader. When you are done, press CALL + MENU + END to leave the bootloader.
5. To revert a G1 to its factory original SPL, simply use the G1 Original SPL.

Ok, but now.........what should I do? The computer don't see the HTC if I connect it.

Ok, well its not supposed to do that. Doesn't it bring up a notification to "mount" in the notification bar?

Personally i already flashed the HardSPL bootloader on my G1 without any problems. I cant understand what you did wrong, can you explain??

I think I accidentally left a firmware on the SD and that is loaded by itself after installing the SPL. Now the computer no longer recognizes it and I do not know what to do ........

Easy way would be to wipe your phone.
Other than that you can download an update of the firmware using directly your phone since you cant connect to your computer.
Show me pictures of your firmware's settings, im curious.
Enter Settings>>About phone and take a photo if possible.

Big problem with HTC p4350

Hi! Today, a friend has given me that smartphone with a "litlle" problem. When I try to run it, it doesn't pass of the HTC logo. I tried all, softreset, hardware reset, etc... One thing, that I think is "curious" is that when I try to start it in Bootloader mode, it only show IPL and SPL, but not GSM and OS. If I connect it to the USB, in the computer all the time appears and dissapears the connection icon saying that a "error was produced".
What can I do?
Regards and thanks

Someone GAVE you that smartphone probably because it is bricked. this means you CANNOT use it, the only chances that you have:
-Unbrick with an original ROM that was installed on that phone*
-Send it to HTC Repair centre
Try these RUU's out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286873&page=3
If this does not work, well.. you'll have to pay big time
Hi!
If "bricked" means "barried"(sorry I'm not english, I'm from Spain), I can say that is not barried, cause I saw other times that phone in the hands of my friend running perfect and I was present when he bought it, so I know for sure that is not barried.
Where is the original rom? Is a backup?
If I can do it.. I will send it to the repair center.

bricked means = a ROM with errors installed. SO you have to install a new rom.
Put the phon ein bootloader mod - connect it and try to install one of the listed ROms from the dutchman.

Oh, thanks! Thanks for the translation. I've tried to put it in bootloader mode but all the time the computer is advertising of connection and disconnection, and that, all the time.

Run an RUU for the Herald!
That is not possible. The PC can't detect the PDA correctly.
Have you tried??
Yes, I tried it so many times, and all the time the PC is showing that "something" has been connected, and 1s after, something has been disconnected, and the software of update shows that nothing was detected.

how do you enter bootloader mode please explain with details thnxx...
Just enter the bootloader and restart PC until it detect your PPC by ActiveSync. It is PC's, not PPC's issue.
I have the same problem.
It started with the device being slow doing things. I thought some application behaved badly. I soft-reset the phone once and everything was ok until a few hours later, when it started doing the same, a while after that, I find it being reset and stack in the HTC startup screen.
I go into bootloader mode where I see the same screen posted above. Connecting the usb cable, it shows "USB" at the bottom, but then the device is not recognized by the -official- update utility.
My phone is only two weeks old! I have to wait a week before I take it to HTC service, since I'm on vacation.
It seems like a hardware problem.
I think you should run an official RUU and that should clear things up. Your pc may or may not recognize the herald but run the RUU anyways. Keep running through the steps for the RUU as if you knew that windows recognized the phone. It should work.
I already said: "but then the device is not recognized by the -official- update utility". The RUU does not find the device.
I have done some more reading... maybe I should put the .nbh files on the SD, it's trying to read from there when entering the bootloader.
What I would like to know, if other people had experience with this: Is it a hardware problem, so sent it back to service and not waste any more time, or try to fix it by flashing it? How was this problem caused in the first place? Am I going to run into this problem again in the future?
hi i think i got an solution to your problem pres connection manager buton and camera in the same time and the soft reste butn whit the still , that will send you to bootloader menu so you can put and good rom hop it helps

laurentius:
if you have uspl installed before you ran upgrade, than you should be able to recover. according to your spl version, you did.
to get to bootloader:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_Resets
you get rgb screen in bootloader.
-obtain original rom for your device;
-connect device with usb to pc;
-make sure the battery is charged enough to perform upgrade;
-run standard upgrade utility;
this will return your device to original rom. to do further upgrades, you will need to install uspl again, because it will be overwritten during original rom installation.

why do you need to press the green button? you're already in bootloader mode.
the thing to do is, you must have the original rom of your device. if you do, then you can flash it to your phone through the bootloader mode.
try to get your phone again in the bootloader mode (the red/green/blue screen). once you're there, connect your phone to your pc via cable. you'll see in the lower-left corner of your screen "USB". then you may flash your rom from there.

Don't give up so soon.
I had the same problem as you describe and it was working fine now.
Hold the left button above the volume control on the left side of your phone.
Now press reset button with stylus and release.
Don't release the left button yet until u see the bootloader screen.
Once u are in the bootloader u need to plug the USB connection to PC for ROM upgrade.
U need original ROM. If bought from UK -UK ROM, if bought from German - Gernam ROM, etc...
Please let me know if you have any difficulty to obtain the Original ROM.
Once you updated original ROM u can run active syn and run USPL utility to unlock and upgrade to any ROM you prefer.
Woot thax alot m8 I really should get my phone back and give it a try .

Put the phone into bootloader mode again and try to flash again. If it fails, create a gold card. You can't hardSPL unless windows mobile boots.
What were you flashing that you got a white screen? The HardSPL?
DoC is the hardware level Flash Memory. Don't mess with it.
to get the white screen i try to flash the stock rom, if vodafone screen was shown.
in bootloader mode i can flash only one rom, the stock rom...if this done...it stuck again in the vodafone screen...couldn´t create goldcard,because i have no second win mobile device, any other way to create a goldcard??
thx

Yes, try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=485364 but with the Herald instead of Dream.
Is the stock ROM a vodafone ROM?
If the stock ROM is flashing properly but not booting properly, it might be a hardware issue.
yes the stock rom is a vodafone rom...
you mean that it is dead...:-(
i got some win mobile device tomorrow, than i try the goldcard method...if this is not working i give it up and throw it away....

so i tried it several times with a goldcard, but it goes everytime in bootloader...what should i do now???

This is the wrong thread to post in if you have problems as this is the ROM Development thread, and it'll probably be moved and/or locked once Ivan sees it. But I'll go ahead and answer your question.
The three colored screen is the bootloader. If you press the reset button, you should be able to boot your copy of Windows Mobile. If you are trying to HardSPL you'll need to first be in Windows mobile, and next follow one of the many HardSPL guides on this thread. If you have trouble finding it, a quick forum search will bring it up. I hope this answers your question, good luck.
I've searched the forum. But the device was not able to HARDSPL in any way. Not install the ROM. RESET solution did not.
At first you have to install an original htc rom, after this you have to install hard spl, and then you can flash a rom. If the device stops flashing at 2%, it is a rom with less than 52 MB, this must be flashed by storage card (Read the description). It happens to me also before a time.
If the rom has more than 52 MB, it will work in the normal process after installing hard spl.
I could not find the original O2 ROM. Can not SPL. 100% gives an error. The storage card when I want to look at "certifica invalid" error.
Restart your pc and your smartphone. Press and hold camera button and the upper button on the right side of the terra, press short in the soft-reset hole with your stylus, but hold the buttons until the three coloured screen appears (the bootloader). Now connect your phone with the pc.
At first flash this ROM. I used it yesterday with an o2 XDA-Terra, and it runs. If your storage card makes problems like before, formate it in the pc in FAT.
After this step you can follow the description here. Don´t forget to soft reset your device after installing the three cabs. Flash the Hard SPL rom also using the bootloader mode. There will be less errors in this mode. Don´t worry, that you don´t see the progressbar. When you flash Hard SPL, the screen is blank (white). After a while it´s finished, your device will reboot and shows on the 1st screen: Now your Hard SPL. Until this time you can flash every herald rom bigger than 52 MB by bootloader mode or in the normal way.
same problem
my phone is hard spled. thing went fine after hard spl, i was able to flash 2 roms, the last one was juststablev2. after one day my phone started to freeze, random crashes, finishing with a "white screen" and then resets. and after a couple of crashes the phone coulnt even load windows anymore, after the splash screen it continiued to reset. and now, the phone dosnt gets on anymore, it only goes to bootloader (not when you turn on the phone, the cant be turned on, only pressing cam button and resetting turns the phone on and you can only be in bootlader. ) i tried everything, readed almost everything in xdadevelopers, tried to flash with shipped roms, tried to flash with custom roms, tried to flash from pc, to flash from sd card (and yes i know everything to do becouse i did my earlier flashed with sd card, all went without any problem). it just looks the phone is dead, but can enter into bootloader. do anyone have any idea ? ill be realy very thankfull if someone can think something about my problem.
ps : my SPL is 4.70.yang
On your pics I can´t see 4.70 yang. When I look there, it seems, as it has lost Hard SPL. Because there is written 4.10.0000. If the 1st screen shows Now Your Hard SPL and the yang-sign, it´s only a boot screen, left by the installation of Hard SPL before. The actual spl you see in the bootloader mode.
If these pics are not actual, I don´t know, what´s to do. But if they are right, you have to flash again an original rom and then Hard SPL again. Put your storage card out of the device or formate it in FAT/ FAT 32, before you begin to flash. Maybe, it´s the reason of your problem.

4:10 SPL as in the picture. Can not HardSpl. 100% gives an error. I'm trying to install gives 1% error HTC_P4350_WWE_4.17.405.2_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship. Still could not solve. With the original O2 rom if you can add terra?
Do you have a solution with MTTY?

Could be the rom, could be the hardware, could be the radio.

Process of elimination.
Flash the stock rom and double check your required spl/radio combination.
If it still doesn't work then it's hardware.
If it does then it's either the rom or the radio.
Good luck.
I have run system info says got no radio
here's a print out

That would be the problem. I'm sure of it. Then again... if you had no radio then I fail to see how your phone is even booting. You're probably using a rom that is incompatable with the radio that you have installed. What rom are you using?
Reboot to bootloader (power and volume down) and tell us everything that you see on the screen.
You might want to take the sdcard out first so you don't accidently flash anything.
thanks for the reply, when I restart and press volume down and power button I get message and its says factory mode and there is a few options mainly testing hardware also clear flash and that's it, when I posted the results I can see under heading of bootloader said N/A, I have tried many times to load different ROM but just can't I used ROM manager and followed other ways shown on these forums but for some reason this phone is stubborn and can't modify it

So there wasn't any text on that screen?
Was it a white screen or colorful?
We need the SPL version, radio version, S-ON or S-OFF etc.
thanks for response, I can't see spl version, when it loads factory mode, its got black background with yellow text and blue highlight under heading of version it has uboot ver 1.1.6. the headings are full test item test, version clear flash which is nand type flash and. reboot nothing else

Yeah... I really have no clue what your talking about.
Your sure you have a MyTouch device... right?
Mind taking a picture if you can?
You should have something that looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Give me everything above where it says Fastboot USB in red.
If you don't have this screen while holding down the back + power or volume down + power then I would think that you have a different device.
thanks for your help mine looks slightly different has a little black hole on the left but. I think it might not be the same when I bought it the guy said its htc magic but I think it may not be I don't have the same screen come up as you have shown
