This doesn't strike me as a good choice. First, while it does turn the screen white, it doesn't affect the backlight brightness - a proper flashlight app would push the screen to full brightness as well as turning it white.
Second, it's designed for a VGA rather than WVGA display - so most of the options leave white borders either side of the main display.
Any alternative suggestions?
ive tried to look for one, but I cant find any good ones that work with the TP2...
anyone find one that just makes the screen white? If i wanted my screen to look like a lighter (and have the brightness of one) id just hold up my damn lighter, but thats not exactly the best idea when holding it over an airplane gas tank to find out how much gas is in there at night...
hi guys, when i goto crop my pics, they crop fine, but im left with a tiny picture..
how do i resize the pic to full screen...
this is one of the biggest problems about the x10,i have loads of pictures but most come out all small or fuzzy using the crop, why se didnt just allow full screen wallpaper is beyond me,however there are a few apps in the store that allows full screen wallpapers however must force close a lot and piece of advice dont use justpics it freezes the phone completely i learned it the hard way,if you find a better way to use full pics as wallpaper please let me know thanks
Bloody JOKING...
Yeah it seems there's some seriously dumbass software issues with the wallpaper option on the X10.
It seems there is no straight forward to way to simply select picture (either one you've take or one upload from cpu/bluetooth) and set the whole/full image as phone's background.
Cropping is forced and as far as i can tell MAX image is 2 THIRDS OF SCREEN!!
just wonder if there are any p'shop wizards around here that can make this image fit on the evo 7 screen home... id like the skydive completely in the center "home" screen...
i tried resizing to 1280x1024 it was close but the photo started to distort...
thanks for your help...

Is there a way to decrease screen resolution so that I can save battery life? 720p is honestly fine with me. I tried changing it through adb with "wm size 720x1560" but that just made everything look big and the navigation gestures stopped working.

It won't save much battery at all.
You still need to light the pixels. The processor will need to interpolate down to 720p.
The power savings if any, would be very small.
The best way to save a bit of juice is to use a black (#000000) wallpaper both on the lock screen and desktop, and also use a black theme. Android 10 supposedly will bring an all black interface, but in the meantime, this will do it.
