And how about reading the instruction in the touch-it 4.5 thread, post nr.3?
If you manage to download a ROM, you should either be able to read the information given or using the forum-search.

It's not really recommended unless you can find the same ROM that your phone has now on the Herald Wiki (so you can restore your ROM in case you brick your phone).
But if you still want to proceed, there's tons of info already in the forums.
Thank you... I'm been searching for a lot but...
Ok, tomorrow I'll call the Customer Service

I'm sure if you had read those entire two forums your phone would be working right now.
I've read the instructions on bottom of the post:
Extract file, copy ASerg Policies.CAB to PPC and Run it,then reboot driver.
Sync PPC to PC and run 1__UPGRADE_ROM.bat,Wait it 10-15 minutes.
Cheers..!

read bnewbs guide to herald modifacation. It is stickied and is the first post. You must install a touch it rom first that comes with touch flo.
i installed touch it 5.2 original and could not get touchflo to work for the life of me.

Don't speak unless you know what the hell you are talking about. You can install Touch-Flo without installing a full ROM
@wyld
Did you try adjusting the settings in the Advanced Config program?
See if TouchFlo is disabled in Touch-IT.

Would you mind posting a link to this this Touch-Flo?

Syrius R0

I'm just about to try and install the Syrius R0 ROM on my XDA Orbit II. Just wondering if there is anything I need to do first like SIM/ CID unlocking etc? If so how do I do it?
Cheers
mate, not being funny, but dont ask questions like that as full instructions are on the thread with the rom ( and you will be told to use the thread search tools, lol), and if you are asking questions like that it is highly not recomended to flash your device if you dont know what you are doing, hopefully i have got the wrong idea of what you meant, in any case,
click http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=425612 and follow instructions. you need to hard spl your device,
do hard reset first, then flash then hard reset and everything shoudl run smoothly, dont use vista if you do it wont work, well it didnt on mine, use an xp machine.
hope all works out for you!!
cid unlocking, check the hardspl thread here
The o2 Orbit 2 has no SIM/NET lock at all.
Just do Hard-SPL, if something goes wrong while flashing, you can recover it.

But all three simultaneously at 3:10 (GMT+2)
Ok, stop spamming
Vista is often causing errors. XP is recommended...
Cheers, I had read through the instructions etc but the XDA dev wiki says that before you find the ROM you should CID unlock the device, couldn't find anything explicitly saying that Hard SPL is doing this and figured I'd rather ask an obvious question than risk bricking by beloved Orbit II.
Think I might have to risk trying it with Vista, only XP installations I've got are VMware ones on Ubuntu and that's a whole other can of worms.
Thanks for the quick replies
First post and a new thread. Boring...............
there are already a thread for bug in R0 Syrius and explaination for flashing a new device use it before posting !!!!!!!!!!
This isn't about a bug in Syrius R0 and as I said before I had read two guides on here (wiki and the installation instructions) and was checking a difference between the two.
Lock and whipe this thread. Another idiot who didn't care to read the "read me first" threads....
I did read them, was checking a difference as explained in previous post. thankyou joey jojo for your help

All three of these refer to the same thing.
First you need to learn how to flash a ROM (do a search).
Next, flash a custom Manila2d ROM
Next, download some themes (skins)
Next, use m2dc customizer to install the themes.
There are threads in xda which explain in great detail how to do all this, just use the search facility.
Good luck,
Mattster.
some examples
is there a different types of themes for different roms or the wm6.1 parameter for search is ok?
dont know how to be positiv that i am downloading the right thing
can p3600 stand tuchflou (rotating box meny)?
I AM REEDiNG AND HOPE ILL LEARN SOMETHING....THANKS FOR HEALPING

The 6.1 ROMs work fine on all Trinities. That is why they are in the Trinity section of the forum. Some download versions are specific for the p3600i. The first post of any ROM thread will indicate everything you need to know. Some have Manila2d (skinnable), some have FtouchFlo (finger gestures to scroll screen), some have both.
Mattster.
ok
ok thanks!
and for the last am I going to heve tis in new rom or need to download it?
and what intresting rom you are suggesting to me?

Just read through the latest ROMS, see what they have, read the comments, then choose one you like.
Just make sure you follow the important steps on how to flash.
There is a useful step by step guide at this link. Follow it word for word in the order it says and you should be able to get it done. Remember to start at the beginning. If you have nothing important on your current device to back up, then you can start at STEP 2: "Upgrade to Hard SPL"
http://trinityguides.info/index.php?...d=25&Itemid=66
Best of luck,
Mattster.
p.s. Moderators do not approve of newcomers starting new threads on information that is already out there. If you have specific problems, look for an answer in the search button, or ask them here in in Trinity Upgrading:

Thanks allot
FROM NEXT WEEKK I AM GOING TO ACTION
till then I ma going to lear and reed as nutch as possible....thanks

Flashing without Goldcard as shown here :)

Hi guys.
I just upgraded my O2 HD2 to an official ROM by using this method WITHOUT goldcard:
http://www.handy-faq.de/forum/htc_h...d2_sspl_verfuegbar_flashen_ohne_goldcard.html
Its written in German, here is what you need to do:
Unrar your favorite ROM and rename (if it isnt allready) the .nbh file to "RUU_signed.nbh"
Unrar the attachment SSPL_RUU.zip and copy your RUU_signed.nbh in the same folder.
Now just flash as usual Make sure you watch your HD2 screen and allow any file to run.
It worked for me.
UPDATE: Didnt saw that this file is from bepe. Look here for the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=606713
Thanks and sorry bepe.

You can also just follow the guide for flashing with SSPL here, at this very forum. Will flash both signed and unsigned ROMs.
I wonder if that starbase 64 guy created his own SSPL, or is using bepe's without giving proper credit. If you're registered at that forum, perhaps you can compare the two?
Wow
The two files are the same.. So that starbase guy used it without thanking I think. You can compare this by yourself, just download the attachment from below! Heck.. I am sorry I gave the wrong person credit.
Sorry that I didnt saw the other thread! I searched, but Ive found nothing. I think he should mention "without goldcard" or something in his thread title..

No worries!
Actually, I think bepe's thread doesn't mention you can also flash official ROMs with the SSPL explicitly either. That might be worth mentioning, especially since I believe the free goldcard offer ended on the 27th.
As far as I understand the flashing procedure with sspl, you can flash the OS only but not HSPL or Radio even if you are using a "official" HTC Rom - sspl is just ignoring radio and hspl part.
Depending what you would like to do this is ok or it is a limitation.
Best regards,
dingolino
not working for me
Uhm, what do I miss now? HSPL, is this the posibility to flash homecooked stuff? And whats up with the radio? Doesnt it work normal with this method of flashing? thanks
At the moment all functions seem to be normal (cant test the radio yet, no headset) The method worked really well!
>Edit Seems like the radio is complete missing ^^ I dindnt realised this at first... Is there any .cab to get it back?..
