I have a problem with my IMate JASJAM. The camera app sometime behave weird and shows scrambled. After several reboots, it goes to normal. This has happened several times. I have tried hard reseting but so far no luck. The issues remains.
I am using the latest ROM version for IMATE JASJAM.
Any suggestions?
I have the T-Mobile varioII for only a few days.
The camera screen is displaying a line in the same position of the line just above the battery icon in the today screen. This seems to affect the use of the ok icon and button, in that it won't consistently save the settings. The line does disappear, but as soon as I use any buttons, it comes back.
Soft reset sometimes removes it until it reappears.
Do you have anything similar to this, or anyone comment please?
sorry, can't help there but here's my own camera problem:
After having to send back 3 tytns with screen alignment issues my 4th handset's screen works perfectly however on all 4 units the camera is crashing frequently, or sometimes just taking a blank, grey picture. I obviously want my camera set to best quality: 2m, superfine. When i take a pic where the light is good (mainly outside on a nice day) the tytn just switches to the today screen. If i try to access the camera app I get a "camera in use" error message, if i go to the running apps screen the camera app is not there to close, only solution is a soft reset, take a pic and it happens again.
The only workaround I have found is to set the camera to L, fine quality but i'm not happy with this - why have a 2mp camera that only works when it is dumbed down?
Surely i'm not the only one with this problem as all 4 sets had the same issue.
I'm loathe to send this one back in case the 5th set has the screen issue.
I faced the issue that my camera screen show scramble. And when I take the picture, the phone returns to the today screen, and when I tried to start the camera again, it gives me an error that the camera is already in use.
My problem of the camera having a line on the screen may not be the screen.
The line is appearing in the captured image. I didn't realise this until I rotated the image. So, it may be the camera/lens at fault.
I had the identical camera fault as described in the original post. Soft resets cleared the screen but the fault re-appeared after activating the camera. I had to pester the network into replacing my 1 mth old voda version. I have to admint the fault only started after I dropped the handset though.
lol well might as well add mine, my zoom doesnt work! Just will not shift from 1x
Schooleydoo, you know there is no zoom at 2 mp. It only works at lower resolutions and in increasing amounts the lower you set it..
Any solutions??
Hi,
Has any of you found the solution to the original problem? My phone's camera shows scrambled screen continuously and doesn't get back to normal.
Any ideas??
Regards,
Saurabh
I have a scrambled screen too. It started when i was too low with memory, after 3rd warning phone turned off itself 3 times - it never happened before, some of the programms crashed for good, and camera shows camera menu but picture that camera sees is scrambled, so are the pictures taken. When I tried to take a video it showed that I am missing some codecs. After Flashing I can record videos and make pictures, but I get only this results...
:/ .... anybody have an idea?
I don't know what exactly happened... I flashed phone with the same WM6 and installed Webcamera plus v1.051, and TCPMP v 0.72 RC and camera still wasn't working, then suddenly it started to work a day after .. i don't know if it will help anybody, but.... i think that some codecs from those programs in some way overwrited phone codecs...but I am a new, so I may be wrong

I have one big issue with my phone,
and that if I start up the phone especially if I use sport or burst mode the camera doen't shut down,
I then get loads of artifacts over the display, I have to do a soft reset,
I'm guessing this is the reason it wasn't enabled by default.
Just wondering if its just me or if anyone has the same issue.?
I just got a hold of a mytouch 3g with a defective accelerometer (due to water damage) and wont adjust orientation according to the way im holding the phone. its stuck in portrait view all the time and was wondering if there's a means to:
A. Toggle between landscape and portrait mode (with an app)
B. Emulate the accelerometer to report the necessary values to keep the phone in landscape mode, so i can simply toggle rotate to switch between the modes
C. Re-calibrate the accelerometer in such a manner to keep the phone in landscape mode and toggle rotate setting when needed.
Iv done some searching in regards to the matter. I have not come across any (usefull) apps that will manually rotate modes, nor have i found any workarounds. I have CM 6.1 rc1 installed on the phone. Id be grateful for any help. Thanks.
EDIT:
the phone is out of warranty, and iv trouble shot the accelerometer fully (cleared settings via recovery bla bla)
Hi
i have the same problem - have you found anything to solve it.
Thanks
Hi
I've just enabled the Daydream function but even though it works in both portrait & lanscape when previewing the various options, when I've actually chosen one and plugged it into my charger, it will only function in portrait mode. Is this a bug on my phone or what?
Thx
**Bump** .....No-one else got this problem then??
After more searching on this, I see I'm not the only one with this problem, and it is in fact, a bit of a bug(ger)....
On my Nexus 7 it rotates in landscape mode too...but not on my S4
I have to start Daydream first and put it into landscape mode before plugging in my power connector...it then works OK.
It's been moaned about on various forums etc since last year....but it still hasn't been rectified!
