camera function does'nt work anymore

Hi,
I just got a t-mobile compact and now my camera function does'nt work anymore. When i choose to use the camera it freezes.
What could be the problem??? or are there updates available or even better the original qtec sotware.
Thanx
help when you need it
Check out this thread: Don't understand why your camera function doesn't work any more. More detailed are needed to help you out:?

Peace out X-man germ
it's strange but when i choose the camera option i get a black screen en it won't respond anymore.. after a fewminutes the camera tools appear in the screen but the rest stays black en there's no visual of the camera.
I found a camera patch but now the it does'nt freez anymore but the screen stays white. There are more options in the screen with this new camera software but it still does'nt work... I also did a hard reset and still the problem..
Seems like your camera hardware is broken.

Can't access camera settings anymore

After upgrading to the new ROM all is well except for the camera settings which I cannot access anymore - it just hangs. Quiting the camera app leaves the display in landscape mode but that's old news. Anyone encountered the same problem?
Thanks,
Nir
Sorry, I can't be of help for your problem, but FYI the Qtek S200 comes with AKU 2.0 out of the box and I don't have any problems with the camera settings. Sounds like something weird with your device. :?:

HTC Tweak camera problem

Hi to you all, sorry if this thread has already been here (searched but found nothing) but I got a minor problem with camera. I installed Montecristoff HTC Tweek v0.5.4 and went to camera setting what i did is that I enabled Burst mode and Sport mode (whatever its called) set the quality to 3Mpx and after that I did soft reset. Fine everything working but than I started camera and when I activated the burst mode or sport mode it just pops up window which states that system registered failur of camera.exe. And i have to restart the device so that camera starts to work. When I use just the default camera everything works fine but when I use those two modes that are not set in default mode than the camera aplication shuts down. Im using ROM 1.14.479.3 (official one). Thanks for your help
Were you able to figure this out? I'm having a similar problem now but the camera won't fully boot after trying out the sport/burst mode. I'm on dutty's 3.9xt. I'd like to avoid a hard reset if possible.
[edit] nvm, found solution

Start your camera program, and in the menu, you'll see a button called Camera. (like in the picture that monx showed). Pressing this button allows you to switch between the front and back cameras.
Bear in mind that the front camera is not as good as the back camera.
Front camera
Unfortunately the button is blank and there is no reaction if pressed
I had a Niki with the front camera problem... the camera is phisically there, but there is no way to activate it... gotta send it to HTC in order to fix it
So its an hardware problem??
I have exactly same problem. Cant change between cameras and using videocall nobody sees me.
I remember using another ROM and use that camera...
WHO CAN HELP UP, THE FRONT CAMERA PROBLEM!
CAN NOT SWITCH, EVEN CAN NOT USE DURING THE VIDEO CALL

I had that option a long time ago to swith cameras. No I've downgraded to the ROM, Radio and HardSPL I had when I was able to do video calls, and that option is not there anymore.
I think it's an hardware problem. Nothing to do. Got to send my nike to HTC. And for sure its not cheap.
once I just fixed the problem, but after some days, it came back again.
so i do not suppose that it is a hard ware problem.
The most important the place I live in there is no such service
