PointUI Messaging problem - XPERIA X1 General

Hi all
I love the PointUI interface and particularly the messgaing applet mod written by alien.
However, unlike other WinMo device users when I use the messaging applet I cannot see the body of any emails. SMS work fine, but the email bodies are missing.
HTC and Omnia users report it working perfectly.
I've tried both the Xperia panel version and the standalone version but no joy.
I have my emails located on the Storage Card through registry modification and wonder if that's the problem. But then surely it wouldn't find sender and subject either.
If anyone has this working on an Xperia please get in touch.
I love the rest of the applet and this is driving me crazy
Thanks in advance

Help with O2 SMS Plus

I have installed O2 SMS Plus and the patch. I can send sms successfully , however the replies made by the person only show in my inbox, the don't show in O2 sms plus at all! Does someone have a fix for this? Any help would be great as i'm dying for this program to work!
Are you sure?
You do not need a patch I think, only one cab is doing well. (but O2Plus needs a patch)
Which version of "SMS+" is yours? Try this it works well at least for me
will this work for my MDA US (tmobile)?
Give it a try. Won't lose anything.

That was the same program that I had before, I have removed it, and re-installed it several times, but to no avail....I can send sms from it perfect...but everyone who replies to me, the sms go straight to the normal inbox and don't even show in the os sms plus program. I have read numerous posts of people who have it running fine, I just don't understand why I can't get the damn program to work right!
don't know if this has any bearing, but....
maybe you have spb pocket plus or a similar app running, and did not include o2smsplus.exe in the exceptions list (only tmail.exe)?
I've noticed that O2 SMS Plus V1.2 (01060606) is the latest version of O2 SMS Plus
Anybody got a change to see what's different? Except from the numbers of course
where can one download 1.2?
The only thing that I have running that I could think would cause a problem would be pocketbreeze, do you tink that disabling this would help?
When you use O2 SMS Plus you have to close your standard Inbox.
Did you do this?
I also use PocketBreeze, and O2 SMS Plus works fine..
Were you able to get SMS Plus to be the default application?

My messaging program is not running, is there another way to close my inbox? I just don't have it open, maybe I am not doing something right....how do I go about actually closing my inbox?
You should be able to close it when you go to:
Start -> Settings -> System -> Memory-> Active Programs
But when you don't use a program with Task Manager, like MagicButton, vBar, PocketPlus etc. Then I believe it should close the Inbox without the use of any extra program
[edit]
I've noticed that you use PocketPlus. You can just tap on the top right. You should be able to see the Inbox in the running programms. Just press the X to close it.
[/edit]
Have you tried the version attached in the second post?
Humm, where to download version 1.2 again?
I tried the version in the second post...still same problem ....
1.2 isn't available for download.. ..it's part of the O2 Atom Exec ROM
i see. and whats new in 1.2 compared to 1.1?

Flash messenger v1.5 released!

Hello guys,
Know you've been waiting for this and its been a long time as we were busy on working with our new site.
We are proud to release Flash Messenger v1.5 with contacts support. Feel free to comment here or there in our forums.
http://www.PocketPC-Live.com/flash-messenger.html
CartyStudios, Inc.
Flash Messenger v1.5 for POCKET PC
This is a small software for your POCKET PC, that helps you in sending Class0 sms, where the message on delivery, will directly Flash on the recipient’s screen. The message will not get into inbox and hence cannot be saved. However, some devices can save the message.
Whereas in some devices (Recipient’s device) like O2 Atom, Sony Ericson.., the sender’s number is also withheld.
sounds great, but what does the above mean, can i send to any phone or just pocket pc's ...
Not working with WM5 or something is missing. Installed 3 times but no luck
great thing to add contacts working just fine in wm2003 on my magiciam.. the sms can be sent to any sms capable receiver, inly thing is that sms will look a little bit stranger
yeah this does seem a bit pointless considering you wont always know what type of phone the person on the other end will have and how the sms will be recived.
Guys, did you try installing to the default folder? Program files\flash messenger? Still getting the security error?
I've installed it in program files and moved to storage, works really well
is it support Hermes?

multiple SMS/MMS recipients

Does anyone know of a quick way to select multiple SMS/MMS recipients (instead of having to insert each contact individually) under Windows Mobile 2003 for Smartphones (2nd edition)? I’m fairly certain this can’t be done through the OS itself and so I’m assuming some third-party software will be required (this is fine).
Symbian Series 60 implements this perfectly. When composing an SMS/MMS it presents your contact list and allows you to check off those whom you want to receive the message. Then, after you’ve chosen those recipients, it walks you through all of them and if a contact has more than one number it presents you with those numbers and lets you choose which to use. The entire process is very fluid and you get the sense that there isn’t a more efficient way to go about it. Indeed, I couldn’t come up with a faster method (though the ability to specify a “default” message number would obviate the need to choose which number to use).

Hi!
I've made a small application that sends SMS messages to the Outlook groups. I can make a new version where you can choose what ever contacts you want...I'll keep you posted....

Works very well on Universal (o2 exec). Will it be possible to have a scroll bar in the contact list. Presently it scrolls only with the down key not a major issue though.
On my Artemis I've got a horisontal scrollbar at the bottom. On WM 5.0 Pocket PC's you can also use the left\right arrow keys. You can also browse the contacts with the keyboard keys...
Try downloading the nevest version, I believe I fixed the scrollbar issue in v1.3.

Thanks a lot. Please keep up the good work!
Great little app! Now I can notify my complete mailing list with text messages as well
I have threaded SMS application. Would there be a conflict if I installed this program??
Thanks
Ammar
Never tried the "threaded SMS" application so I don't know the answer to your question...
All GroupSMS does is to start the buildt in messaging application and set multiple receivers in the "To" field.
Øystein
Just installed and looks good. One question.... Any way you can add a counter on the number of recipients selected?
Thanks for a great util!

HTC Home v2.0 and Codyppc Threaded SMS question

Hey everyone.
First off: Props to all the people that keep doing the great work. Keep it up. You are all awesome!
Ok, so now down the gritty.
The question I had was, on my Samsung i760, I have HTC Home and Threaded SMS installed and running perfectly.
Now, when I tap the buttons to open my SMS or e-mail, it always opens up pOutlook first, then it will open up my text messages. It only does this on the HTC Home plugin. PointUI and the default WM6 TODAY work as they should.
Does anybody know if there is an XML config I can alter to have to point to the proper link?
Its kinda annoying, since I have to close out two windows when I am done sending a text.
Any help would be great. Thanks again all!
Cheers.
Me Too!
OOh OOh OOh!!!!!
I'm having the EXACT same issue.
Cody's Threaded SMS + HTC Home Plugin = Outlook & SMS Opening @ same time!
Any help/advice/etc?
Thanks!
Well, I did find a solution. Samsung released a WM6.1 update. Once I installed that, the HTC Home Plugin links just fine.
I tap messages and it will now open the txt messages. Looks like Microsoft changed out poutlook handles messages.
hope that helps you. update to WM6.1 and see.

Sending Unicode SMS messages via mobile phone from PDA

Hi,
I need your help to find out a software that I can use my HTC Touch Cruise to send and receive Unicode SMS messages via mobile phone.
I searched over and didn't find out a software that works with WM6. Can you help me to find one?
Thanks
Is it that hard to get?!
It looks like I am asking soming not easy to get! I did almost two weeks search for workable software. I only found one software which is called Instant SMS Sender. I tried it and it works. But it doesn't have must features like Indovisi SMS.
I hope someone can come up with better one. Lets look who is the Hero
Thanks
I found a very simple freeware software which is called zSMS v0.6. I tested and it works. It doesn't allow me to type unicode SMS. Did any body test to send unicode SMS using zSMS software?
Thanks
Try using Simple SMS V5.0 (For WM5 & WM6), and you may find your luck, depending on what type of handphone you are using.
Well, I still prefer Indovisi SMS but I am having the same problem with you.
Let me know if you find any better software too..
