Alternitive remote for X1 - XPERIA X1 General

Alternative remote for X1
The supplied remote for the X1 is bad..........very bad. I tried to use my N95 remote with no luck. Is it even possible to use a different remote other than the supplied one?
A remote with volume control, start/pause, forward/back and stop would of done the job.

define supplied!
define Remote!
i didn't get anything with my X1 except for the SD card!

the headset is in 2 parts first part ends with a remote
and is enough to be used as fm radio wire
2ed part have the earplugs

i'm not sure if there are any inline wired remotes out there that will work but i know that the x1 supports the remote control bluetooth profile and has been working fine on my HBH-DS980 bluetooth headset.

Remote controlling WMP

Hello
I currently connect my Hermes to my Pioneer in-car head unit via 2 cables, these are a usb to RCA (phono) and then RCA to iBus (iBus is the Pioneer interface for connecting and controlling external multi-disk cd stacks).
Obviously the signal is sound only with no controls.
My question is that in the states Pioneer seem to be releasing players with a new interface, the uBus, this lets the user controll various MP3 players:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/v3/pg/top/cat/article/0,,2076_310069607_405683232,00.html
do you think that this will control Windows Media Player on a Hermes? My guess is no, but if someone with more idea about the workings of WMP could take a look and let me know there thoughts, it'd be much appreciated.
If not, then purely out of interest, is there any other way people have controlled WMP remotely, via some hacked headphone and a WMP plugin maybe?

Bluetooth GPS (TomTom) and audio streamed via Bluetooth device in car - possible?

I currently use a Holux Bluetooth GPS device with TomTom on my Vario, which works fine. I connect the phone's headphone socket into my old car stereo via a cassette adaptor for both music and TomTom speach, and I use the inline mike in the adaptor cable for handsfree phone calls. It all works fine.
However, my new car will have a CD player only (no cassette) so I was thinking of getting a little Bluetooth audio receiver to cut down on the cables and transfer the audio wirelessly from the phone to a box plugged into the new car radio's AUX input. Will both Bluetooth devices work simultaneously, so I can have TomTom using its bluetooth GPS module at the same time as the phone outputting audio to the other bluetooth device?
And what about handsfree use, is there anything that will allow me to also use the same bluetooth setup as a handsfree device, as I'll no longer have any microphone in the cable, since there won't be a cable...!
I know what I want to do, just not sure how to do it. Thanks for any help folks.
Andre
Any thoughts on this anyone?
I tried it out in a shop using a Sony car radio with Bluetooth support, and it played MP3s fine using PocketMusic once I'd paired the devices. The Sony's ">>" and "<<" keys even selected next/previous tracks perfectly.
However as soon as I started TomTom (v6), the audio only came from the phone's built-in speakers. Even after then exiting TomTom and restarting PocketMusic, the sound still came from the built-in speakers only.
So, any thoughts on how to get TomTom's voices to play via the car stereo using Bluetooth A2DP?
Andre
Not sure about this - I tried on my Wizard with WM5 to have two BT devices simultaneously. Holux 236 GPSlim and Jabre 620s results in extreme skipping. Maybe tuning down the data rate for the BT-Audio could do the trick, which I haven't tried yet.
Fm transmitter
Get a Fm transmitter plugs into the headphone socket and you can tune your car radio to pick up the signal i use one get one on flybay for £5
Hmm, maybe I should just upgrade to a Vario III (Kaiser) which has GPS built in? Or just stick with the old-fashioned solution of a 3.5mm jack cable.
Andre
If I understand the question right (if not sorry), you're wanting to run 2 different bluetooth devices at once but can't. If so it's the radio. My moms Acura TL allows multiples devices (my phone and hers). But my 2011 Forte wont. I paired my Ipod touch and my phone and if I'm playing music the phone wont work. I have to change devices on the cars audio system.

Audio Booster with Bluetooth Headsets

This is a response from HTC:
Dear valued HTC customer, Thank you for contacting our Customer Support Center. We are dedicated to providing you with the best quality service and answering all of your questions and concerns. You recently wrote us about an issue that you have encountered with your device. To clarify your issue, you stated that you do not feel your question was answered. As previously stated, and to answer your question: The Audio booster was Never designed to work with Bluetooth headsets, there are no plans currently to change this functionality. If the above steps do not resolve your issue, we invite you to visit the support area on our Web site.
Damn, i just got myself a TDK-100 and was posed with the same issue (only i have a HTC Touch Diamond).
Hmm maybe there's a hack that can trick it into thinking there's a headset plugged in?
It's a hassel because all the 3rd party players i've tried (Pocket Music, PocketTunes, MortPlayer etc.) don't support A2DP [i think] properly (ie. controls on BT remote don't work).
The quality of the WMP w/ the audio booster is quite acceptable as it uses minimal system resources and the controls work.

There is a hack - you can set Audio Booster to be enabled regardless of the headset state in Advanced Config/HD Tweak, or by editing the registry.
The bad news, however, is that it doesn't work with BT audio anyway - guess different drivers are used.
Hack doesn't work properly
Even when you hack it, you can't use the Equalizer properly. Audio Booster will start but it will not work properly. I've tried this dozens times!
Must say there is one player that works very good with bluetoth and that is pocket player..http://www.conduits.com/products/player/ u can try it out
gotta wonder why they didnt design it to work with bt. pretty poor imo. i cant imagine its liike a radio which needs an antenna
Conduits Pocket Player on Touch HD with BT headsets
When trying to use Conduits PPlayer with my BT headsets I can use the remote to change the volume, but when I try to change to another song, TouchFLO3D gets the BT command, I mean, Pocket Player won't skip songs because my BT send the command to TouchFLO3D
This works in PocketPlayer with use of the WMplayer plugin. Have a search on the Conduits site (I use a set of SD9 with my Touch HD and can change tracks using the headset buttons)

Help! Bluetooth never connects A2DP Stereo automatically !!

Hi! This issue has plagued me ever since i am using windows mobile. I own a TOUCH HD (though i think this issue is also with other windows mobiles) and a A2DP Stereo bluetooth headset from Sony.
http://images.google.nl/imgres?imgu...ox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&sa=N&um=1
Now here's the problem. When I pair the phone with the Headset, it pairs the 2 services HANDSFREE & WIRELESS STEREO. Then i can listen to music via the headset.
When i turn the headset off and then back on again, it switches on the HANDSFREE ONLY !! And i have to go thru the following process to turn on the WIRELESS STEREO again:
1. on phone, click on Bluetooth Devices
2. select the headset device to view the 2 services (handsfree and wirless stereo). Both are selected. Deselect the Wireless Stereo service.
3. SAVE
4. on phone, click on Bluetooth Devices
5. select the headset device to view the 2 services (handsfree and wirless stereo). Re-select the Wireless Stereo service.
6. SAVE
Then it works again and i can listen to my music again.
Its a very annoying process and I wish someone could help me to explain if there is a faster way? Does everyone also have to go thru this process or am i doing something wrong?
Does there exist a program that can automate this process or any other solution?
looking forward to replies!
there are more than one small app to make it easy.i found one that works on my HD. uploaded for you here:

next time try and do a search....
thanks a lot! It actually works! cant imagine why microsoft creates an OS without this built in as standard !
thanks.

I have a same problem with my car audio, but when i install this BT program in lower post they connect me only to handsfreee, and when i go to play music they disconnected my car BT audio.
Just for you interest - this does NOT make A2DP work.
Mirror site please!!!

Can someone please mirror this download, my limit is up on.
Here is the source.
I got it downloaded, and here is the developers web site

(sorry all, could not find an edit for my last post)
Pair your stereo headset and select the Heaset and Wireless Stereo profiles, this will work from start.
Next time you turn on your stereo headset it will only connect as standard headset (ie mono for phone calls)....
Just press the play/pause button on your headset and it will auto connect to A2DP stereo also.
Simple EH?
Tried that!
I have tried that, and do it on my laptop (another set and stereo profile only), it may be dependent on the headset you are using.
The Triangle Powers BT Stereo is mono output only, and made the audio quality poor on my HD. http://trianglepowers.com/PPC/ViewApp.aspx?ID=52
I installed teksoft A2DP Toggle 1.1 this morning http://teksoftco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1885 and added it to the program button in TouchFlo, not the today screen. it seems to work fine if you press the button twice, better than 7 clicks. (My HD info in the signature, Telstra TouchFlo replaced by Standard HD)

If pushing the Play/Pause does not connect a previously paired BT Stereo Headset to your HD then it is not a true A2DP profile headset.
See if you can get your hands on a pair of folding Sony DR-BT22 headphones.
True A2DP with built in mike to answer incoming calls. Bass is very good and full funtion with the HD.
Highly recommended.

Hmm! I pair the HD with a great bluetooth headphones from Sony I got in Tokyo recently (not the same as yours). I dont have any problem with the A2DP connection at all. I have perfect high audio definition thru to the headset.
Sorry not much help-but it may be the headset not the HD thats your problem!

Agree
You guys are correct, the smaller headsets that try to share the Play/Answer/end button are probably the issue.
I have been using A2Dp Toggle 1.1 as mentioned and link above and it works great, no loss of sound noticed.
We should start an XDA (not just HTC) WiKi to list headsets that connect or not for WM5 and WM6.
HD Compatible Headphone
I have a Sony DR-BT50 headphone that works beautifully. The sound is brilliant for Music and particuarly movies that I have transferred from DVD to the HD with MP4HT4HD!
I never thought that i would watch a movie on a screen so small but the clarity is something else and the high audio signal with the bluetooth headphones make it a pleasure! Great for long layovers at airports etc.
Any in-ear types that work?
All the sets that I have seen posted as working are the full headphone (over ear) types, and this may again be a shared button thing.
Does anyone have / know of an in-ear / earbud type that works / connects correctly
A2DP Toggle 1.1
I dowmloade that A2DP Toggle 1.1 on my phone. I use HTC TYTN1 running Windows Mobile 6 Professional and this software gives hell to say the least.
When I connect it to my headset, it works fine BUT it does not pay MP3s on my headset. It keeps on saying ERR on the icon of the head speakers (the second icon form bluetooth icon). I even asked most of the technician but no one knows anythings. If anyone knows what my probles is, please rescue me!!!
I might be doing something, please help me guys
Toggle works for me!
I had the same problem, the triangle powers prog didn't work for me. In fact the headset icon was on but no playback.
The toggle 1.1 works, none of the funcitons described on it's website are available, setup and various icons are from the home page but HTC Touch HD home page doesn't support that.
Never the less, putting Toggle in my program list and using it toggles easy between phone speaker and headset. Like someone has already said, two clicks and we're in business from starting my van to getting music from my phone on the stereo. I'm happy enough with that.
I have a Pioneer stereo with Parat built in, so I get BT audio and Hands free calls. All seems to be working perfectly now. Thanks to this thread.

Using external microphone for voice control?

Hey guys,
I just got my mibox, and I'm pretty happy about it.
Nearly everything works like I imagined, but there is something, which could be improved:
I'm using a harmony remote to control my devices, and I don't really want to change that.
But when I want to use voice control, usually you have to use the Bluetooth remote with integrated microphone.
Well, I thought when I plug in an external USB microphone, it should be fine, so I ordered on (http://amzn.to/2iz1ySc).
I chose this model, because I read that you can use it with Sony android TVs for the same reason.
But when in plug in the microphone and reboot my mibox, it seems that nothing happens and the box doesn't recognize the mic.
Has anybody tried something like this before or does anybody have some ideas, tips or workarounds?
I also tried to use a Bluetooth headset, which I paired with the box, only with the result, that my AVR doesn't play anymore sounds (just the Bluetooth headset...)
