It worked once.
After that I can't sync using usb (win M5).
The win M5 device does sync perfectly with activesync using BT however it refuses to connect with usb.
On an other pc USB sync is no problem so it must be a conflict on the one pc.
Whó's gona help me out
hi, all
Right now, Wing will try to do the usb connection and then try to activesync with the computer with the usb cable hooked up. Sometime the cable is put in just for charging the device and the computer might be a linux station... Anyways, it is annoying! Is there a way to turn on and off the usb connection like what we can do to the Wi-fi and bluetooth whenever we want to? A mod to the registry also works. A better solution is more desired.
Thanks for such a wonderful forum.
Can't you go into Activesync, then connections, and uncheck usb?
yes, I did. but the usb connection is initiated on the Wing...if the workstation is Linux, then there is no ActiveSync, Wing still tries to connect usb. That is what I want to turn off. Any ideas?

About 9 months ago a colleague (also active on this forum) installed WM6 Black on my Vario 2. Today I tried to share the internet connection (for the first time), but to do this I have to be connected with Activesync.
I installed ActiveSync and connected my Vario2 to my computer (Win XP) using a USB cable. There was no response from the computer at all when I plugged in the cable and also Activesync "Get connected" wizard couldn't connect to the device. It did tell me that USB is available.
The only indication of the connection is the orange light that tells me the battery is charging.
Since there are no messages that give me any idea about what's going on, I have no clue what to do next. Also, I tried two different cables, which work with other devices.
Can somebody please help me out? I have to move places tomorrow and won't have a wired connected for about 6 weeks. I don't think I will survive without a internet connection
Hi;
I have a USB cradle which I use when I`m syncing my PPC/PC and I have noticed that it occasionaly disconnects?? To re-connect I have to remove the USB cable and re-connect. If I try to connect using ActiveSync it says the USB is connected but the device staus is disconnected.
Any ideas
My respect!
I wonder, could I use,and how, ADSL connection,on my XDA Trion,if I connected to the PC via Bluesolei bluetooth USB adapter?

connected
I made it!
Is quite simple!
Open ASync on PC,File>Conn.setings>This computer connected to>in drop down menu select Internet
After pairing, start ASync on ppc>tap menu>Connect via BT
PPC will connect on some Bluetooth serial port COM_ port(on my PC is COM10)
Thats all!
Enjoy!!!
when ur connected via active sync, do u still need the USB cable or not???? im getting confused here
internet thru AS and PC
I'm not sure,i understand the question,but...
You can connect to ASync via USB cable,BT or IrDA(you know that).
If you conn. to ASync via BT(integrated or USB dongle) you don't need the USB cable(all time you want to be on the internet via PC,you must do that thru ASync, with cable,bt or IrDA, in this scenario) !
Every type of conn., give you capability to go on internet thru the ASync!
Help you,i hope!
All I have to do is connect my Nike to the laptop via the USB cable and then open WMDC and it connects to the internet.
What about Wi-Fi connection?
I have Wi-Fi adapter & HTC Touch Pro.
