I know on a iphone you can get a guitar and a piano for your phone...
It's pretty nice.. so is it totally imposible to make on a diamond???
diamond and iphone are allmost the same (diamond is better )
so maybe there is a smart guy out there somewhere who can make it or maybe "STEAL" it from iphone and convert it to diamond ....
Best regards
I agree with him, i like the app very much, anyone knows if it is allready there?
I know in windows its not hard to make, i'm a programmer myself, but i don't know a thing about programming an WM application..
The iPhone has MultiTouch, the Diamond doesn't. It would be a bit annoying to play piano or guitar with just one finger at a time
A simple search gives:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=372333
There are already quite a few piano apps for Windows Mobile (that's the good thing with having a mature OS).
Note that the Diamond is multitouch*. It's just its screen that is not!
* the panel below the screen is multitouch.

Does it?
I remember reading that it had multitouch but a couple of days later, they said that it didn't. It was just 1 detection at a time, but it handled both of them.
Hope you understand

Ok I just bought my HD2 from T-mobile like maybe an hour ago I was lucky that my friend works at the store and they got some in stock. Lucky me right? Well I just wanted to know if this is normal. I can see pixels and dots on the screen in sunlight and if the phone is tilted at a certain angle along with what looks like a crash hatch pattern of lines that also look like pixels. I called support to see if this was a problem they said no. The t-mobile model phone also did this. Is this normal and what is it attributed to? Thanks.
Yeah same here i dont believe its dead pixies as it follows a straight line and is organized. I think its the screen itself..Anyone can confirm this?
I read some where that it's for the capacitive screen to operate correctly and the iphone has this in certain spots of the phone. I guess it's normal unless someone else wants to let us know if we are freaking out or not?
it is normal and in all hd2 versions ,it is the capastive sensors

Are some people paranoid or is it just me. Obviously they are not dead pixels. Or else you would be able to tell when the screen was lit up. My wing had the dots. I believe it was for the touchscreen the crosshatch pattern is the capasative screen
100% it's the capacitive touch sensors...
paranoia abound in this thread. i think the dots looks cool. especially when they sparkle while the screen is off. never shows up with any indoor light so it doesn't bother me while inside.
Guys,
Have any of you come across a 'decent' Art & Drawing application?
I know there are quite a few but I'm looking for one that has realistic brushes/palette and tools.
It 'must' have an ability to use 'smear' where I can smear many colours or do a graduated colour spread.
Another nice to have would be 'pressure sensitivity' ~ whereby applying various forms of pressure gives off varying brush thickness.
Thanks in advance.

Bother..... Just realized I've posted this in the wrong section. Should have gone in the Themes and Apps section....
Staff, please relocate, my apologies.

That's the trouble which I have found as well.
Besides my profession I have a passion with photography and drawing.
I would handsomely pay quite a lot of there were an Art package available that you could use properly for sketch and watercolour.
Again, if anyone has any ideas please do let us know.
Not found anything that is pressure sensitive, not sure if that's even possible. I found a simple sketch app that simulates the effect based on the speed of your finger.
There might be a opportunity here for someone. I used to write art packages, but now that I work in computer graphics, I'm not sure I have the same enthusiasm for doing it in my spare time.

Pressure sensitivity is possible Mark, well on Windows Mobile that is...
There's a title named DynaInk which supports pressure sensitivity and has very basic smudging effect built in.
What was the name of the title you found and did it support 'smudge/smear'?
With all the titles available one would like to believe there must be an App available that can mimic an artists drawing/painting board.
It was Sketcher, it doesnt support the features you're looking for Mike, but with the Sketchy brush selected did allow you to get several colours on top of one another in an air-brush type fashion.

Thanks Mark found it..... I like the idea but you are right, it's not my cup of tea.
Did find one of interest ~ Magic Doodle Lite
It only has the single brush in the Lite version but it does allow you to graduate your colour if you use a specific brush fill pattern.
The Pro version has 35 real artist brushes (not 8 as the Market mentions), prismacolour, acrylic, hue & saturation, pencil colour, van gogh oil, rembrandt watercolour, skin tone, cool colours, weak saturation, grey saturation, 3 greys sacle, victorian, nocturne.
More drawing & painting tools.
Eyedropper to select colours fro your paintings.
Extra zooming from 50% to 1000%
Colour bucket to quickly fill closed forms and shapes.
Smudge tool.
Symmetrical drawing tool.
Premium also has search for painting ideas.
65 modern style patterns for more inspirations.
24 colourful ethnic art models for training.
Pro version costs E1.39 (USD 1.96)
Have not installed or tried, but Picsay might be worth tying.

Picsay is more a Photo Editor than a dedicated drawing program.
There's little to no art tools.

DoodleDroid again works with Photo's.
Basically I need to work from a blank canvass just as you would if putting chalk, pastel, paint, etc on paper.
Thanks guys.
Not what I am seeking but I do appreciate the feedback.
So has anyone found anything better yet? I haven't had much luck in finding anything good.

The nearest I have found is Magic Doodle.
The Lite version only has the single brush whereas the full has quite a lot more.
I've given myself to looking until the end of July. If I can't find anything further to my needs then I'll pay for the full version.
It would be interesting to see if Sony does indeed use two display manufacturers, so i'm making this thread so people can actually see this. I posted this in the "Clearing up.. blah" thread, but it'll be more effective having a stand alone thread for it.
Now, let's get down to business. You have to be rooted, install a terminal from the Play Store and type this into the terminal:
- su
- dmesg|grep -i panel
Look for "Found panel: mipi_video_********_Full_HD_******"
Some report that a reboot helps if you aren't getting a proper result.
This far we've gotten these results (from the Clearing up.. blahh thread)
JDC panel: 1
- Found panel: mipi_video_jdc_Full_HD_mdy70
Sharp panel: 2
- Found panel: mipi_video_sharp_Full_HD_ls050t3sx01_id_dlogo
Update: You can use _daz_'s app instead so you don't have to use the terminal. Download the app here.

Re: [ROOT] Check your display manufacturer
Afaik the dlogo in the Sharp panel string stands for DoCoMo logo, so that logo might actually be in the glass, unlike the JDI panels that have no logos. Are there any Japanese people who removed the shatter-proof sheet?
That also means that all non-DoCoMo-phones are most likely to have a JDI panel.

Except for the fact that tons of people here who have the European version posted the Sharp string.
Need someone who has pulled off the protector and no Logo left on it to post the string, see what panel that is.
You're also wrong about the Japanese units having it baked into the screen. They have "SONY" at the bottom of the panel and I can assure you Sony isn't flipping panels around. They are making two different screen protectors with the logo in them.
Basically your entire post is wrong. Delete it.

btw - coming from the note 2 I thought the screen was better in outside daylight, it only seems to be poor indoors under artificial. Also helps now in running a rom with black bars instead of gray

Not trolling or anything, just puzzles me why Sony use sharp displays? Sony afterall do make their own displays, so they dont use their own brand? But they then sell their own displays to other manufacturers?
I know all the phone manufacturers do same thing but, Its just weird....

There are few panel makers in the world and Sharp is one of them. The Panel does not decide picture quality on its own, in fact, the backlight is typically far more important, that's where Sony comes in.
Sony used to manufacture their own LCD panels in a joint venture with Samsung but that has been over for a while and they now use Sharp panels for LCDs.

It looks clean on the front. Somehow it's a shame that the logo is gone, but I honestly don't care much about it. Now my friends must guess what manufacturer made the phone, without looking at the back.
Maybe I will apply a better screen protector.
edit: The protectors on front and back had some ugly scratches without doing anything rough to the phone. The protectors get scratched rather easily. I knew that from the beginning, so I tried to be extra careful, but i guess that wasn't enough.

Sorry for ones who might know it already. Yesterday I just found out that if I lay my Z3 on a flat table, the bass will suddenly become richer, overall sound is not so flat, and it sounds a lot better than holding it on hands or lay it down on a bed.
I owned an Xperia Z2 before but never noticed this.

Yes, the table becomes a large baffle which will naturally increase bass response of any speaker.
