Iesample on Wince 5 (Ipaq 310) - FTP mode forced - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

On a device based on Windows CE 5, I try to add an Internet Explorer (Iesample.exe). But despite hundreds of tests, the latter still has open mode FTP ... It proposes to download the index page of sites rather than read.
If this is the file, someone could send me, thank you!
Who would have an idea?

Need help for PDF Software

Dear Reader,
I have downloaded a PDF software from the followin site for my XDA IIi,
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readerforppc.html
but it says 'AdbeRdr20_ppc_enu' is not a valid Pocket PC application. Kindly help me out. I need this software in my PC.
Thanks & Regards,
That's the installer .exe - you have to ActiveSync your PPC and run the .exe on your desktop PC.
Need your help
Now let me know what do i have to do if I need PDF software in Mobile?
Thanks & Regards,
Well, maybe I was too short in my first answer (or am _I_ getting *you* wrong?) ... anyway:
the thing that you downloaded from Adobe in fact _is_ the reader software for PocetPCs - _but_ it's not an exe, you simply copy onto your device (or maybe you downloaded it directly onto the PPC?), and it would run there.
Shure, it's an .exe file - but not for PPC. It's one for Windows, to be run on your desktop computer - as an installer for the PPC.
So, if you don't have it already on your workstation, move it there;
connect your XDA with ActiveSync to your desktop machine;
start the downloaded .exe on your desktop;
let the upcoming install shield lead you through some dialogs;
then that program will do the installation of Acrobat Reader 2.0 for PPC onto your XDA;
if the XDA asks you something, answer accordingly;
done.
It also installs some converter into ActiveSync, that tries to optimize transferred .pdf files for display on mobile devices (well, I switched it off ...).
But beware: as good as the Reader for PPC is (at least imho), it needs a lot of space (some 8MB).
Let me know, if I understood you completely wrong.
Greetings.
Thank You it's working now
Hi Dear,
Thank you very much it's working now in my mobile.
Thanks & Regards,

Internet Sharing CAB File for WM2003

Hello!
I am looking for the cab file (if there exist any extracted one) that is found in most of the WM5 and WM6 OS. It is the Internet Sharing program that lets you connect your PC using USB to the internet. I have searched everywhere but could not find it. I did find the Vista drivers though but I cannot use the internet sharing without first activating it on the mobile phone. This is for a HP 6315 that has WM2003.

I don't have a CAB file but I extracted this from an HTC Universal ROM. Just copy and paste this file in the Windows folder, then create a shortcut icon in Windows>Start Menu>Programs.
---
I will try it today after work and let you know if it works in WM2003. Thanks!

My PDA (iPAQ 1940, wm2003) told me it's not a pocket pc valid application
And i think it's not a w32 application...
I'm searching for a way to simplify the connection between my PPC and my UBUNTU laptop...
And wm2003 doesn't have a native program to do that
Thanks
internet sharing will only work with WM5 not WM2003, which is the reason your ppc says that it is not a invalid ppc application
Internet connection sharing is a new feature of wm5 networking. It wont work on devices with previous os.
The error that it gave you is because of the fact that it's compiled for a target CPU that is different from yours.
I would very much like to get a utility that can work in windows mobile 2003, with similar features of internet sharing in wm5 or wm6, so that I can share the internet connection of my ppc in my laptop while I can still receive phone calls and text messages. Can anyone develop such a tool?
Ok, i understand...
I have to try out other roads to share my internet connection from ubuntu to my pda
Tnx to all!
I will try the programe for my FS LOOX T830. Thanks
I don't have any.I will try to apply that.

Argument to Internet Explorer through MortScript ?

Hi,
I would like to create a scheduled task that will launch Internet explorer every day in a specific website.
This website will then be connected to radio on the web through wifi.
Actually, I can enable the wifi and launch IE.
Now I would like to connect to the specific website but I can't find how with MortScript.
Here is my script
Code:
# RunIE.mscr - start the default data connection and load IE
#Wifi Activation
Run ( "\Temp\AEBPlus_Switch_WiFi_Off_On.lnk")
Sleep 5000
# Internet explorer connecting to radios.wm.free.fr
Run ( "\Windows\iexplore.exe", http://radios.wm.free.fr/player?cat=1&radio=nrj&type=asx)
But it doesn't work :-(
The url is not passed to Internet Explorer.
Please could you help me ?
Thank you
I'd try to put quotes around the url:
Run ( "\Windows\iexplore.exe", "http://radios.wm.free.fr/player?cat=1&radio=nrj&type=asx")
or another thing you might try is to put the url in a local file and call it as your parameter.
Thanks joe !
the url about quotes is working fine !
Now I am trying to find a task scheduler !
I have tried RunEveyDay.exe (from xda-developers) but it doesn't work on my WM5
If you have any idea ... =))
P.S: My goal is to be waken up by a web radio

Opera Favourites - Transfer from PC TO PPC

Morning Gang!
Can anyone explain how to transfer my colelction of favorites from my desktop version of Opera to my PPC?
I've tried copying the opera6.adr file from desktop to PCC (Windows\Opera9) but when I load up Opera I have no bookmarks. Are the files different in some way? Is there a limit to the number of bookmarks you can have?
Thanks guys as always!
Wayne
I haven't tried this myself, but this forum outlines details of an import process:
Thanks for the link but I've already looked at this. It appears that the Opera6.adr file used by Opera differ between the PC & PPC versions. Have a look inside them and you'll see. The PC version of Opera has a few extra fields...

Anyway I can open RAR files with my Dash 3g?

I have dowloaded the Pocket RAR but can't find one that isn't for a PPC. I'm willing to pay for a full version or better yet a freeware
Might be worth checking out.
winmobile zip
Hi,
Mmmmh, I am no genius, but a 1 min search gave me that :
http://www.rarsoft.com/download.htm
Free software, for winmo, from the developpers of WinRar.
Thanks for your replies. No, those don't work on the Dash. I downloaded almost everything I found from those pages and its all for pocket pc. I get a "Not a valid windows ce application"
from all of the apps I've found off google
Google Unrar SP
