Morning Gang!
Can anyone explain how to transfer my colelction of favorites from my desktop version of Opera to my PPC?
I've tried copying the opera6.adr file from desktop to PCC (Windows\Opera9) but when I load up Opera I have no bookmarks. Are the files different in some way? Is there a limit to the number of bookmarks you can have?
Thanks guys as always!
Wayne
I haven't tried this myself, but this forum outlines details of an import process:
Thanks for the link but I've already looked at this. It appears that the Opera6.adr file used by Opera differ between the PC & PPC versions. Have a look inside them and you'll see. The PC version of Opera has a few extra fields...

Hi guys
I use sprintDb Pro (database app) from kaione Soft and recently upgraded to WM 5.0 (thanks Buzz). Problem is that AS4 has a problem copying my databases to the desktop and vice versa. It says : access denied and general access error
other filetypes copy and convert with no problems. Would somebody using WM 5.0 please copy a *.mdb file to their XDAII and report what happened please ?

hmm, just found this :
Note Synchronizing and converting Access database files is available only on devices running Windows Mobile software for Pocket PC 2003 and earlier.
bit strange I think, not funny
I get these same errors, Ive spent a day looking at MDB converters and had some limited success.... But I just want to plug my phone in and let it synch automatically.... Anyone got a surefire method or way around the errors the OP mentioned.
just edit registry key from 2 to 1 at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001
then soft reset and try syncing again.

It is incredible I had the problem that even after installing SprintDB I could not sync the database between my PocketPC and the PC.
But this simple registry hack solved the problem. Where did you find it? there is no indication about this in the SprintDB manual, nor on kaione web site!
One important thing, I have WM5.

Well, I did the same and it does not work because in the conversion settings for Microsoft Access in ActiveSync there is no option to convert from mdb to cdb , consequently it simply transfers the file from the desktop without converting it.
I also have wm5 and using latest ActiveSync.
Any help?
gonzaloblanco1992, I had no problem at all with the registry hack. Maybe try again after a fresh new installation.
Hello!
I am looking for the cab file (if there exist any extracted one) that is found in most of the WM5 and WM6 OS. It is the Internet Sharing program that lets you connect your PC using USB to the internet. I have searched everywhere but could not find it. I did find the Vista drivers though but I cannot use the internet sharing without first activating it on the mobile phone. This is for a HP 6315 that has WM2003.

I don't have a CAB file but I extracted this from an HTC Universal ROM. Just copy and paste this file in the Windows folder, then create a shortcut icon in Windows>Start Menu>Programs.
---
I will try it today after work and let you know if it works in WM2003. Thanks!

My PDA (iPAQ 1940, wm2003) told me it's not a pocket pc valid application
And i think it's not a w32 application...
I'm searching for a way to simplify the connection between my PPC and my UBUNTU laptop...
And wm2003 doesn't have a native program to do that
Thanks
internet sharing will only work with WM5 not WM2003, which is the reason your ppc says that it is not a invalid ppc application
Internet connection sharing is a new feature of wm5 networking. It wont work on devices with previous os.
The error that it gave you is because of the fact that it's compiled for a target CPU that is different from yours.
I would very much like to get a utility that can work in windows mobile 2003, with similar features of internet sharing in wm5 or wm6, so that I can share the internet connection of my ppc in my laptop while I can still receive phone calls and text messages. Can anyone develop such a tool?
Ok, i understand...
I have to try out other roads to share my internet connection from ubuntu to my pda
Tnx to all!
I will try the programe for my FS LOOX T830. Thanks
I don't have any.I will try to apply that.
I searched the archives but wasn't able to find anything, hence the new post.
I have an ATT Tilt and I am using it on a Windows Vista (Ultimate) PC. The folder Sync implementation with the Vista Sync center just sux.
So I am looking for a app that would let me sync any folder on the Tilt (including one on the SD Card) with any folder on the PC.
Thanks.
Denis
Try mobSync - but I have not verified it's functionality under Vista.
Good call...

I also use MobSync and on Vista Ultimate:

I don't understand much of what is written on the vendors page (there is an English support Wiki) the software is multilingual on install, so there are no issues using it.
Thanks, mobSync works like a charm...
Got it, does exactly what I need...
Newer versions of Mob Sync are shareware, but if you dig deeper you will find that versions around 0.92 are freeware. It synchronizes arbitrary folders on your PC and mobile device. Can also synchronize files on SD card.

Do you have a link to an older version - cannot find it at their site?
- EDIT - Found it - so here it is...
"With this software you can synchronize any file folder on your Pocket PC (not necessarily \My Documents) with any file folder on your desktop (not necessarily \Pocket_PC My Documents either). It works well and now that it is translated in english it is a must have. Pay attention to very big files, it may stop in the middle of the process and fail to copy (just like ActiveSync).
Note: The latest version is shareware. The free version is v0.9.4,

You need to install the network plugin cab file (http://www.cinetsystems.com/xda/Kaiser Cab Collections/HTC Network Plugin_mui_0409.cab)
since my ROM is italian, I have to change something when I try to install it?
No. It's not ROM dependent (language).
Hi,
I have a Universal with a ROM by capante v.2 (ITA), the inside Office Mobile 6.1 shows the .docx format only, for Word mobile.
In Option I cannot find the possibility to select the .doc format.
I add a .docx imported from my PC is not readable by Office Mobile.
If I try to upgrade the Office with the last version available online, the error appears to remember me I have a newer version and I have to uninstall before.... but I cannot uninstall.
thanks for help
