Does this solve bluetooth problem for you guys - XPERIA X1 General

Hi all,
First post here. Used to check posts every day since I got my Xperia a couple of months back.
I am still using my original UK generic Rom. I used to have this Bluetooth problem at first, but I made a couple of changes using my "Advanced Configuration Tools", and I don't have any problem since then.
In the Bluetooth setting, set the following:
Audio gateway service: Enabled
Audio Gateway Power Save: Disabled
This seems to do the trick for me.

what was your issue exactly?

i'm still using the official R1A ROM and i have not faced any problem with BT
maybe someone who is using mortscript to fix it can tell

BT Check - App To Switch Back On If Disconnected

I have a prob where by when I have finished with GPRS it disconnects and switches of the Bluetooth connectuion - thats fine except I'm not always looking and my car kit is BT based Grrr.
So - does any one know of an app which can check every so often the BT connection and if disabled ... re enable automatically ?
If not can any one here create one ? I can't belive I'm the only Vario user with this prob.
TIA
Terran
mine has shut off lotsa times but I couldn't figure out why, I have my gprs set to always on, so Im not sure if my problem is the same, but an app like you described fixes the symptom and not the problem, Ill settle for that if its the best I can get...
bhang

Any one found a solution yet ?

Same problem here, would be nice if a fix can be found.
Disable GPRS while connected with Bluetooth will be fine as well.

Qtek 9100 - Missing BT DUN profile

Recently I tried using my Bluetooth DUN from my PowerBook while on a trip. It was giving me weird problems and I gave up on it. Hard to diagnose errors without an internet connection.
So I got back from my trip, and tried to again, this time with my web browser by my side. After little success, I figured I'd re-pair my Wizard with my PowerBook.
After I re-paired, I noticed there was no DUN profile. I tried on my ThinkPad (which had been previously paired and set up with BT DUN as well) and found that it was missing there as well.
It's been a while since I've used the DUN profile, so I don't know what exactly made it disappear. I'm running the Qtek 9100 WWE ROM (2.17.7.2) but I think DUN was working after the upgrade. And I'd purchased Missing Sync a couple months back. I had tried re-pairing with Missing Sync uninstalled from the Wizard but no luck.
As there something I am overlooking? Some registry settings that got wiped out? Should I try a hard reset? Or maybe I should just jump to one of the custom AKU 3 roms (and give up on DUN and move to Internet Sharing, but DUN is just so convenient). I guess installing a custom ROM will pretty much amount to a hard reset.
Either way I wasn't able to use it on the last trip I just got back from, and I'm not going to be able to use it on this trip I'm leaving for tomorrow. Quite annoying.
Thanks,
Tienshiao

USB problem + bonus

Hi,
I've had Hermes for almost a year now and successfully connected it to my laptop via USB. A few weeks ago it suddenly stopped connecting, not only ActiveSync, but USB Modem/Internet Sharing too.
I sent it to HTC Support, but they said everything is OK. Suprisingly, when I got it back it worked. Then, about a week ago the problem occured again. ActiveSync's not working, so is Internet Sharing.
I tried almost everything, resetting the laptop, soft/hard resetting Hermes, disabling advanced network functionality, reinstalling ActiveSync and using AS 4.1 - 4.5 beta, disabling firewall, etc. All I managed to get is some random ActiveSync connections lasting about 5 seconds.
Now, I've read this thread, but I haven't been using Scarybear, Memmaid, Sktools or any other similliar programs so I don't think this concerns me...
Anyone had same problem and found a solution?
Also, there is this little bonus problem. Everytime I make a phone call the phone goes to silent mode. This isn't such a big problem since I'm using SPB Phone Suite and quickly set the default profile back, but it would be nice if someone could help me solve this problem.
Here are the ROM versions on my device, should it come useful...
ROM version: 2.11.255.1
Radio ROM: 1.38.00.10
ExtROM: 2.11.255.102
Similar problem, possible solution
I had experienced a somewhat similar problem. All I did was to reflash a new ROM (now using WMIV Black 3.01) now everything is OK... though haven't tried it with SPB.
Hope this helps
I've flashed the ROM to AKU 3.3 right after it returned from tech support and it didn't help. Haven't tried WM6 though...

Bluetooth: Not being able to pair / connect

Hey guys,
I have searched for this problem on the forum but I can't find a solution. The problem I have is that my Bluetooth is not working like I would like it to:
When trying to connect from my TD2 to my pc (xp) / laptop (vista) I get the message:
Cannot connect
Your device hasn't been able to connect with 'pc-name'. De connection failed or the password is incorrect.
(I get it in dutch... so if my translation isn't the same as in the english version you know about it).
When using the pc / laptop to connect to the TD2 I get a screen where I can choose between two bluetooth services:
- Dial-up Connection
- Network Access Point
... These are the only two. When I use my old phone I can also use a Serial port connection (and even a few more).
The purpose of the bluetooth connection is to be able to synchronize my contacts with my Microsoft Outlook 2007.
Can someone please help me with this problem? I have already tried a few things, like soft- and hard reset. Updated the ROM, etc. But it is still not working. The only thing which DOES work is connecting the TD2 to my radio in my car...
Thanks in advance
Hi robje,
Ive got same problem with you.. but i managed to solve it ..try enable receive all incoming beams.. u can find it at all settings --> connections --> beam --> then check " receive all incoming beams"... good luck.....
Thanks for the quick help!
I already enabled this setting, but I still have these problems...
I've got exactly the same problem with my bluetooth, are you still using the stock ROM? I've currently got energyrom's standard2.5 installed so I thought that it maybe WinMob 6.5... My wife's phone is fine and she's using the stock ROM. I'm going to go back to HTC's stock ROM, so I'll give you another update after I've done this...
One note to add.. I've seen that on my older Diamond, the bluetooth COM ports menu shows "New outgoing port", whereas my new Diamond2 shows nothing on the same menu...
Update... I've flashed my Diamond2 back to the original HTC ROM and bluetooth is now working correctly. So it looks as though the problem is probably with WinMob 6.5...
Can anyone confirm this at all???
I think I am just using the Stock ROM (as I haven't installed any other). I am also using WM 6.1... as 6.5 is not yet available for the TD2 (if I am correct)...

The retail version isn't but a lot of the ROMs on here have been done with beta versions of 6.5 (mines on build 23016)...
Anyway,I've flashed back to my cooked ROM and bluetooth still isn't working correctly. I've been messing around with the "advanced configuration tool" and found that OBEX was disabled. However once I turned this on, it still wouldn't work correctly...
Yeah I also found the OBEX using Advanced Config. But that didn't seem to matter... I hope anyone knows a solution for this, because it's really annoying! I have contacted the HTC Helpdesk... but didn't get much help. After giving all details about the problem they send me a manual of how to turn on the bluetooth radio on a mobile device :|...
Have you tried reflashing with the latest update from the HTC website?
This problem is getting weirder... I've now found that I can send files from my TD2, it's just the recieving of them that won't work. So I think it must be a possible compatibility issue between WinMob 6.5 & the older version on my TD...
Has anyone got an idea to solve this problem...?
No intention of being a smartass though...
Have you checked the box "visible"?

Hey Magnus,
I do have checked that box and it's visible. I have done all there can be done (the easy way) on the TD2, but all settings are correct. I can also see a list of available bluetooth services on the phone, which also describes the one I need. But when I then try to connect my pc with my phone, I can only choose on my pc between:
- Dial-up Connection
- Network Access Point
Only those 2... when there are much more available according to the list on the phone...
Have you tried to connect to your "old phone" as you mentioned?
Sending receiving between those phones

Wifi problem

Hello.
Ever since i had this 3600 that my wifi never seemed to be working smoothly...
I don´t seem to be able to connect to my wifi wireless at home nor to any other wireless network that needs a password...
I used to have the default WM5, but recently updated to WM 6.1 using one custom ROm dowloaded from here...
I´ve tried changing my wireless to broadcast using 802.11.g, changin in HTC the wireless power options and so on, but i´m always stuck with this problem...
Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be or experienced anything similar?
Thanks in advance!
On some cooked ROMS not all the features are working. You have to choose a good one or give feedback to the ROM cooker about those problems so he can fix it.
For example I had one WM6.5 where bluetooth and infra-red don't worked. Now I have one where videocalls don't work. I'm still in the quest to find a perfect one.
