Pen-testing tools for Windows Mobile - Windows Mobile Development and Hacking General

Hi all, a few years ago I wrote this article:
http://www.irongeek.com/i.php?page=security/ppchack
I then stopped using that PDA. I've since bought an HTC Touch Pro to play with. What other Pen-test tools/network diagnostic tools should I look into?

that list is pretty comprehensive, it has all the ones i know about...

Handy Sniffer and Airomap are two that come to mind.
It would be nice if there were a decent port scanner for WM6.x.

i looked at pocketmac but it wasnt fully featured enough for me (and expensive). Instead, I'm running windows 2k under virtual pc 6.1 and that talks to my xda via USB cradle perfectly using activesync.

I´m a former missing sync user and had big problems with that tool. After converting to pocketmac all my sync problems are gone.
My opinion: a great tool - installing third-party apps is a mess, but syncing works great.
Missing sync works with XDA2?
Is possibile to share Mac internet connection to use internet via bluetooth on XDA2?
Thanks
please........

[REQ]Crayon Physics Deluxe

Hello.
I am wondering if anyone of you programmers could make the game Crayon Physics Deluxe usable on the Diamond.
Here's the link to their site: http://www.crayonphysics.com/
It would be awesome playing this in landscape mode on the diamond.
I hope you can at least try.
Thanks in forehand //Felix
This game does sound kind of interesting. A buddy of mine just played it and said it was pretty good. Id give it a shot on my ppc. After watching the video though, I am not sure that a ppc could handle the physics engine to run it. Maybe I am wrong, but it looks like it would take a decent processor/gpu tandem to run it.
This is kind o the same, check it out:

there's already an iphone version, iphysics. Hope there will be a WMobile version too !
There is an open source version called Numpty Phyics, originally created for the Nokia Internet Tablets (Maemo) but since then ported to a number of different OSes such as Windows. The source code is available as well if someone wants to take a stab at porting it over to WinMo.

Android has the best games
Google
When I first got my vogue I used google to search around and find programs and games. Search around on xda and maybe ppcgeeks using the search built into the sites. As for installing programs you can usually install .cab files from active sync or you can use active sync to copy over the cab file and install it manually. Eventually you'll most likely want to give android a try and possibly Windows Mobile 6.5. Read and research because there are a lot of forums and a lot of answers already out there.

My hd2 triple-boots windows vista, android & winmo

On this the 1st day of April in the year of our Lord 2010 I become a total fool. I even end up lying to myself.
today, mine is running the iPhone software that i have hacked onto it. but soon i will remove it because it is rubbish and only uses about a quater of the screen
lol no os 10.6?
i just opened the android market because the tmo store guy told me i could and downloaded all the apps on my hd2
And I just managed to run the worlds first working tricoder software, made exclusively for HD2 by NASA.
Funny, I have tried to scan Iphone with it, but its says nothing is there...
I've just installed some software that alows you to use your HD2 as a can opener by turning the camera flash LED into a powerful laser.
My HD2 works perfectly.
i hacked my camera and now its working as a mobile beamer!
with hd resolution
DN41
What a wonderfull day
My SMS was send without problems, and I am not suprised ... because:
"Keeping in touch has always been very important, and HTC delivers fast and reliable SMS messaging."
When we'll have working WM rom for HD2? Tired of these android/linux roms
Today I installed Windows Mobile 8.3.5 with hypertouch support and mind reader, plus I use the camera as an holoprojector and I emulate perfectly the Xbox360

New HTC Snap Owner needs some guidance.

So....
I have a HTC Tattoo and I just ordered a HTC Snap, for development and business use (I'm a secondary school student and a soon-to-be freelance web designer) but I didn't want to get a blackberry.
I've got a few questions. The last time I've used Windows Mobile was ages ago, on a HP iPAQ rx1950. It lagged like crap. How is the performance with Windows Mobile 6.5? Is it speedy or is it still laggy?
That's the method of jailbreaking/rooting the HTC Snap? Can you link me to a thread? I've tried looking in some forums, but I'm kinda confused - too used to one-click-root on Android.... Heh. I think it would involve flashing the SPL, a possible CAB file to add administrator privileges and some other things.
What's a good ROM for the Snap?
Is there any chance of running Android on the Snap?
Thanks again, peeps.
The model of the one that I purchased is S521. What is the codename for this one?

WM6.5 on the Snap is pretty decent. It has a much faster processor and lots more RAM than the rx1950. WM Standard also tends to be slightly more responsive on equivalent hardware compared to WM Professional.

There is no jailbreaking or rooting with WM - admin privileges are automatic. App unlocking may need to be done depending on your carrier, but is a trivial process. If you're looking to flash a custom ROM, then HardSPL will need to be flashed. Check the ROM development board.

Depends on taste. Some people like a basic Stock ROM, others like an all-inclusive tweaked-out ROM like 3VO. If none suit your taste, feel free to fire up a kitchen and make your own.

HTC Maple, I think.
Thanks for the extensive reply. Completely gets me on track to get started with my Snap!
I'll possibly opt for the tweaked ROM, I looked at the screenshots and they totally impressed me.
For themes in WM6, is it like Windows XP's theming - a theme can change the look of the start bar and everything? Windows Mobile 5 only allowed people to change the colors and wallpaper... Nothing much else.
Thanks again!
