I'm running version 5.21 (5430) for PocketPC with GPS driver v1.20 on an XDAIIi.
I loaded tt5.21 on my fathers exec last night, I am assumiing you are using a BT gps receiver? If so then make sure you pair the gps BEFORE loading on tt5.21, then go to comms manager and select gps device in bt settings, then set it to outgoing and assign com 0 to it. then start up tt5.21 and select other bt gps, then select com 0. that is how I got it to work. Under ver 5 it wold not do anything at all, even though either version works fine on my 2i !!!! But 5.21 works just fine on the exec.
Tomtom Now Working
Thanks guys for your contributions. I now have Tomtom Version 5.21 on my XDA Exec.
This has been after so many hours of frustration and browsing the web to find the solution after I got the phone.
I have installed a cracked version which worked after trying so many cracked version which I had found on the net.
I now believe that some of the cracked ones have got some files corrupt or misssing because I dont see why they were not working.
Now I love my phone.
My qustion is with this cracked version WOULD I be able to access TomTom WHETHER AND TRAFFIC ? OR THIS IS A NO GO AREA?
Would the TomTom website know that mine is not a legit copy?
@ two4one
The cracked versions are recognised as being cracked and don't work with updates etc....
To avoid hastles with this site lets not mention warez, I'm not squeaky clean myself, but it can cause problems for the site developers and so on.
Glad you're happy with it though.
TomTom Navigator V5.210
I Too am running TTN Version 5.210 on an XDA IIi

Windows Mobile 2003(2003SE) TomTom 5.21 problems Pleas help

Hi!
I use XDA1 (O2) and try to upgrade several version of Windows 2003se,
Windows 2003 from romkitchen. Upgrade was succesfull, all works perfect exept TomTom, I use it without GPS just for map browsing,
after several seconds, TomTom start working very slowly,
about 1000x times slower, for example show route demo screen updated 5-10x times per second, now updated 2 per minutes.
Its not possible to work with that speed.
Is any upgrade of TomTom(I use v.5.21 27/11/05 orig 4/11/05) present or any incompatible software included in rom update that can cause this problem? If I roll back to PC2002 all works perfect again.
please help me

TTN 5.21 Windows Mobile 2003
HLEP ME!!!
Can anyone suggest me, what version of Windows Mobile 2003 i can use, I tryed several versions, but all of them make TomTom Navigator very slowly, may be it possible to use additional software to resolve problem? I use TomTom without GPS, may be this fact causing problem and I need to install some GPS software or select specific type of GPS device in the TomTom Settings.
Seems like after selecting GPS device TTM start working extra slowly.
Can anyone suggest what version of TTM to use, what version of Windows mibile 2003,and what is GPS software need to be installed?
thank you for answer,
hope on the help
Leon
p.s. my email debarcadereamoi at ifrance.com in case if you be able send binaries, of TTM or GPS software

Tomtom and iGuidance 3.0

is there anyway to download it to ur wizard for free
bump
anybody know the answer
yeah you steal it.
is it downloadable???? or is it hardware
You need a GPS receiver of some sort (usually Bluetooth) and software. iGuidance and TomTom are different programs that accomplish the same thing. I recommend getting a bundle from http://www.semsons.com ; they sell many different receivers with software. I have a Holux GPSSlim 236 and iGuidance, and they work great with my wizard.

exactly the same here. TomTom 6 works flawless and iGo sometimes gets really slow (but it did that on AKU 3.5 too) and sometimes it quits. Didn't try Navigon though. Perhaps next week.
I've found the hanging on iGo to be a result of looking for an attached, either wired or otherwise, gps device. You can disable the auto searching for the gps and still use iGo for general mapping/routing. In fact its actualy very very good. Graphics wise much better than TomTom. It can be speeded up by deleting any non-UK languages/voices stored on the sd card.
