Tomtom and iGuidance 3.0 - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

is there anyway to download it to ur wizard for free

bump
anybody know the answer

yeah you steal it.

is it downloadable???? or is it hardware

You need a GPS receiver of some sort (usually Bluetooth) and software. iGuidance and TomTom are different programs that accomplish the same thing. I recommend getting a bundle from http://www.semsons.com ; they sell many different receivers with software. I have a Holux GPSSlim 236 and iGuidance, and they work great with my wizard.

I'm running version 5.21 (5430) for PocketPC with GPS driver v1.20 on an XDAIIi.
I loaded tt5.21 on my fathers exec last night, I am assumiing you are using a BT gps receiver? If so then make sure you pair the gps BEFORE loading on tt5.21, then go to comms manager and select gps device in bt settings, then set it to outgoing and assign com 0 to it. then start up tt5.21 and select other bt gps, then select com 0. that is how I got it to work. Under ver 5 it wold not do anything at all, even though either version works fine on my 2i !!!! But 5.21 works just fine on the exec.
Tomtom Now Working
Thanks guys for your contributions. I now have Tomtom Version 5.21 on my XDA Exec.
This has been after so many hours of frustration and browsing the web to find the solution after I got the phone.
I have installed a cracked version which worked after trying so many cracked version which I had found on the net.
I now believe that some of the cracked ones have got some files corrupt or misssing because I dont see why they were not working.
Now I love my phone.
My qustion is with this cracked version WOULD I be able to access TomTom WHETHER AND TRAFFIC ? OR THIS IS A NO GO AREA?
Would the TomTom website know that mine is not a legit copy?
@ two4one
The cracked versions are recognised as being cracked and don't work with updates etc....
To avoid hastles with this site lets not mention warez, I'm not squeaky clean myself, but it can cause problems for the site developers and so on.
Glad you're happy with it though.
TomTom Navigator V5.210
I Too am running TTN Version 5.210 on an XDA IIi

igo does not find GPS module

Good evening,
I Have a Ipaq 1940 PDA with windows mobile 3. On the site of Igo thay say that IGO works on this PDA. I have also TOMTOM and this works fine but IGO will not find mij GPS Module( a tomtom gps Bluetooth Module).
Does anybody know what to do about it
Blaauw
Sorry blaauw, I can't help, but I'm interested in where you can buy I-Go as I'm looking for an alternative to upgrading my TomTom to v6 for my Universal. Their website doesn't seem to offer a buy facility.

Personally I wouldn't do that as a UK resident. IGO is very pretty and has nice features, but compared to Tomtom it's routing abilities leave a lot to be desired. I've currently got both IGO and Tomtom on my Universal.
IGO can be fun, because I drive a 4x4 and I like thundering down tiny tracks half covered in mud, but for the majority of time in sat nav use, I want to use real roads.
IGO is king in some countries where Tomtom has poor or non-existant coverage, but in the UK considering IGO as an upgrade to Tomtom will leave you dissapointed.
Check your GPS settings, IGO cannot see the GPS if it is set to COM0:, COM1 - 8 should be OK.

HTC TYtn, Navigon and GNS 5843

Hi,
I'm looking to find out if anyone knows if the HTC Tytn will wirk fine with Navigon 5 or 6 and than with the GNS 5843 GPS/TMC BT Receiver.
Can't find any info on this combination.
THX
I would safely say that any navigation software that is for a pda device and a compatable bluetooth gps receiver will work just fine. I am not using your specific software or gps receiver, but with tomtom software and a bluetooth gps receiver I find the device works as a great navigator.
Okay THX a lot for the reply. I still wonder about the combination of Navigon Mobile Navigator and the GNS 5843 TMC/GPS receiver.
I know TomTom works but I prefer Navigon and on an iPAQ 2790 the mentioned post and combination worked perfectly.
But I don't know the TyTn very well.

do tomtom 5, destinator 6 and Navigon MN6 work with internal GPS?

Has anyone tried to get TT5(!), Destinator 6 and / or Navigon MN6 workin' with the built-in GPS-receiver?
The service at navigon already answered and they said I'd need a BT GPS-mouse ??!?! .. but I don't believe this really. has anyone tried one of these progs with the Trinity / VPA compact GPS yet?? Thanks. S.
The internal GPS works with every GPS program I've tried, including TomTom e.t.c.
Hello, I want to use MioMap v3.2 on Trinity, how to configure the internal GPS on it?

thanks everyone!
tomtom 6 is also sold by vodafone germany if you ask for an onboard solution. But the 6-version does not incl. poland in their western europe maps, which I definitely need! I not a hardcore navigation user - so I'm looking for an inexpensive way to get a good nav-solution with maps for at least DACH + PL or even whole europe. That's why I was thinking about tomtom5 where they offer a map with DACH, CZ, PL. This can be found for about 60 € online... Is TT 5 any good or are the newer maps of the TT6 a must-have?
tomtom and navigon ok with gps buil in but keep the gps isn't atm compatible.

How to use GPS on Htc 8525?

hi guys, i want to use GPS on my htc 8525 but i dont know how. Can u tell me some options to use GPS on htc 8525 without paying any monthly charges? I heard about gps reciever or microsd card gps etc... but i dont know how. help me thank you
Get TomTom or another GPS software that doesn't use data, and pick yourself up a bluetooth GPS receiver. When I had my 8525 I had a GlobalSat BT-359W receiver that I picked up @ Amazon and TomTom 6 and it worked like a charm. I've since upgraded to a Tilt (built in GPS) and TomTom 7.
You will have to pick up at least a 1 GB microSD card because the TomTom maps are 600 - 800 mb...depending on which ones you get. I would recommend something bigger though.
Hi there, i just bought a GlobalSat BT-359w like your and i have tomtom software too? so how can i make it work on my phone now. plz help thanks
