Backup TF3D items - Touch HD General

Hey,
I'm currently using PIM Backup for saving my contacts, sms, etc.
Now I'd like to solve following problem:
Everytime I hard-reset my phone I have to add all my cities to the weather database, re-add my contact favorites, add programs etc.
Is there any possibility to backup these TF3D items via the "custom" option of PIM Backup? What files contain the information?
Thank you,
Tristan

try using microsoft my phone?
Install pimbackup on your phone or just run it as an application (.exe)
You can find it everywhere on the internet
After that start the program and select backup....
Give the backup a location (I'm always using storage card)
After that just do your thing, flash rom or manila as you suggested.
Now start PPCpimbackup and "restore" search on sd card your backup and finished. That's all.
Good Luck
pim backup is ok, but not satisfing... I encounter a strange order of threaded sms in titanium edition.
with SPB backup.... it worked fine.
ok, it is a commercial product, so you may investigate further, but I did the trick for me.
beside: it may not be the greatest idea to import mass of sms into manilla 2.5.
I've tried PimBackup and Sprite Backup.
Both backup and restore fine the SMSs, but PIM when restoring, when using the HTC Messaging client, don't put the pictures of the contacts in convertation mode. With Sprite Backup I have no issues...
MOD EDIT - Moved to general discussion
Thankyou for your replies I intend to flash my phone tonight - I have flashed my phone many times, It will be the first time using manila 2.5

How to backup all my SMS on Tmo HD2??!

guys how i can back up my SMS on my HTC to be readable on pc and i can put them back on my mobile
Thank you
you can use pim backup.
i backed up all te things in a file now on my card but i want to be able to read my SMS's on my pc through that how i can do it?
Pim Backup creates an XML file as far as i know. You should be able to open the file on your PC with a normal text editor like notepad and be able to read your messages.
This is the only option i know since Microsoft shut down the myphone Service.
iMobile sms backup is good for this as you also get a pc viewing editing tool. The most accurate for purely backup is SPB backup & doing custom messaging backup, PimBackup & iMobile do not backup all folders correctly, MMS are not backed up & sent folder will be empty. SPB mail,MMS,SMS & contacts can be viewed via SPB unpack viewer, you can also load SPB Messaging & contacts backup into the PC WM emulation software giving you viewabilty/edibility to cover a huge amount of future import export scenarios ...
Is it possible u give me the full version of SPB backup??!
thank you
Edit...... my bad

[Q] How to backup contacts, calendar and sms without 3th party software

A year ago I installed unbuntu on my HD2 with the dutch stockrom wm 6.5. After running it I lost my certificates on my HD2 resulting in not being able to run 3th party software.
So no TomTom, TCPMP etc. (but Opera and skype works ) but wm software works.
Active sync did work untill a month or 2 ago and then I got a 1 in my sms pictogram but no sms. A soft reset doesn't work.
Now I want to do a hard reset but first a backup of my contacts (most important), calendar and sms.
Now my question:
How to backup contacts, calender and sms without 3th party software (I can't install it) or active sync.
Explorer (verkenner) works.
I have a installed sd card.
I found this: [Q] Calendar folder - where is it?
Can I copy the file: "pim" from the root to my SD card, give my HD2 a hard reset and then put the pim file back in the root of my phone. Will this save my contacts and calendar? If not, what can I do?
In advance Thx for your advise.
HD
Have you tried google sync. Google can upload your contacts, calendar directly on your gmail account. The other option could be try using funambol.
Have you tried PIM BackUp 2.8 by copying the .exe file to SD card then using explorer to find & run the PIM BackUp.exe ! if it runs it will backup your requirements.
Also try SPB Backup from SD & if it runs choose custom backup & select mail, PIM ect .
Files attached ...
You could also copy/extract PIM.vol Mail.vol & try & insert them in reset device but I would make some effort with a few backup tools first, SPB if it runs is superb & I have used it flawlessly on WM2033SE to WM6.5.3 for contacts, sms, email & PIM.
Thx for youre reply.
@msmkt
Google will not work. I can't connect with my computer.
@Mister B
I will try you're solution Thx! If I have results will post them here. Thx again!
Greetings,
HD
