Hey was just curious as to why we can't upload to most sites on the internet and if its possible we will be able to in the future?
What site and what are you trying to upload?
There are some apps on the market that allow it for some sites. For the rest, you will need to wait for Flash. Even then, I don't know if the shrunken down version of Flash will do that...
I was thinking it was cause of flash but wanted to make sure. Just a few forums and a couple of sites im on. mediafire also.

I'm no developer but I try to help lol
With what we have now, could it be possible to have an app or a built in feature where we can have choices for OTA updates to releases put out here.
And heres the question that will probably make me sound like the jackass who doesn't read. I have SOME, very little, programming experience.
Is it possible, and what would I need to start opening up APK's and modifying them.
as far as OTA I dont belive that it is possible with android except from the cariers. I could be wrong though.
as far as modifying apks all you really need to do that as is an archiver like 7zip or winrar.
As of right now, the only dev that has "OTA"-style updates available is Cyanogen, but he has been doing this for well over a year now...
For what its worth, I've flashed my phone on my lunch break without connecting to computer.. I'd call it OTA technically, though not as seamless as you're looking for
Just use the browser to go to this website, download a ROM to your sdcard, reboot and flash!
All it would really take is an application on the phone to check for updates. Just like, as was said, was done for Cyanogen. If someone wants to do that go for it but we might want to wait for more roms first.
I am fed up with official rom3.14. It has so many issues. Is there any way that I can downgrade it to starting rom 1.3 which I had when I unboxed it? I dont have any hspl or any thing else. I also dont know about it. This is my first upgrade!
stock roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=577717
try this thread, it should have whichever ROM you are looking for
or you can get adventurous and flash a custom ROM
youcan also download any official rom from HTC site. just install older official ROM and youll downgrade it.

If you want to flash a custom ROM then go check out the guide in my sig as it will tell you what HSPL is and how to flash it or revert it back to SPL. It also has links to how to install Android to NAND or WP7 if you want to go that route, plus it will give you some good knowledge on what everything is that is needed to do that.

I still have the 2.13 stock T-Mobile USA ROM that came on the phone.
I have not yet flashed to the newer one, only that I have not had the time, as it requires reinstalling and reconfiguring all apps, etc, afterwards, a big undertaking.
But I have intended to flash to the newer ROM, when I get around to it. All the reports I have read here and elsewhere have stated that the newer ROM is much improved.
Therefore, I am surprised to read that you find the new one much worse. Could you please explain, and tell us what you find worse about it?
Thank you.

Just to let you know if most of you apps com from the official Market Place it has an option when you go to my apps in the market app that gives you an option to download and install all of the apps you have install or purchased from the market either all at one time or one at a time if you want. Also the Omarket app has the same my apps option but you have to download and install them one by one on there. So if you go to a good WiFi spot you can have all of your apps back in hardly no time really. And if you have apps that you did not use either of these apps to download and install just download the cab file for the app and store them in a file on your SD card, I have one on my SD card named Cab files just in case I go back to Win Mo.
I tell you. Ilost option enble clear type and screen alignment. My compasonly shows direction the location and other features are gone. I have got storahe issue. My album evry time it opens it uses up 12mb of internal storage. I get 24 mb lost if I open my album twice. I had wallpaper_09 default in all tabs and after updating all tabs are horrible black! There is much more too... Without clear type the web pages look horrible!!!
I just tried to download flash 11, and it says it isn't signed correctly. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks.....
It seems that your previous version is a modified one, try uninstalling old version and installing the new one from market
not necessarily a modified prior version
I also cannot install Flash. 11.0 on my Android 4.0 device. My device is a an Asus tablet that is brand new and does not have any version of Flash installed and yet Flash will not install

If you want to install Flash even though JB does not support it, here it is.
Guys, even if you can still get flash to work on JB, I highly recommend NOT using flash. Flash was abandoned by the android developers because it is a security risk. Without Adobe sending patch fixes for that outdated flash player to combat those exploits, your nook color or any other tablet is easily exploited by hackers for malicious intent. Those with the knowledge and knowhow can hack into your tablet in seconds via the internet.
Your taking a huge risk using that outdated flash player. Most public wi-fi hotspots do not even have proper router firewalls. I would suggest letting flash go and embrace HTML 5. You can opt into HTML 5 on youtube for example.

I personally like/use Dolphin web browser with HTML5 (in beta). Who uses Flash anymore? Amazon Prime? Not YouTube nor Flixster nor Vevo. Only see Flash used in adverts, but I use Dolphin HTML5 so I don't notice.
New one in market today... grab it quick...

Not sure where in the phone I encountered the setting (or which ROM) but I guess there's a setting responsible for that (i.e. restricting the upload of large files/downloading updates to WiFi).
Or the off-chance your Carrier is messing with you (mine did that a few weeks back but restored the service two weeks later). After all, you can surf the web, can't you? Doing that is an interactive process which requires concurrent downloading and uploading data. Let's have your feedback.
PS: Is it a CM7-based ROM?
Also, remember that some apps ONLY allow you to upload via WIFI.

I tried it on many kernels on many roms and still the same. Also i changed my Simcard to another operator and still cannot upload. Speedtest shows about 1KB/s upload where download is about 400KB/s. Market, Opera Mobile, Stock browser shows timeouts. Works Only IM and Opera mini.
I want to back to stock kernel and stock rom but i cant find link to download stock kernel.

an easy way to return to stock kernel is flashing baseband again, here you can find a baseband according to your device (e15i or e15a)
Ok first off i know how to unroot i was just wondering if anyone could give me a site where i can download the stock rom faster than on the stock rom website, it is super slow and takes around two hours on my internet, which is not slow. I think there is a download speed limit on the site.
Device: Sprint GS4.
