You are not allowed to post a WP7 activation key here, I donÄt think that anyone want to share his IMEI with everyone ^^ To activate the phone you donÄt need a HD7 IMEI, your IMEI is enough and you must get your own activation key ^^.

yes but the IMEI and windows live ID is not linked to the activation. You can get many activation keys on the same IMEI. It wont make a difference. If anyone can help please PM.
microsoft representative ask for it when trying to get activation code through chat... any help please?

Yep, Microsoft ask your HD7 IMEI for the activation code - if you will provide them a HD2 IMEI they will tell you thats its a HD2 IMEI and not a HD7 IMEI, they are checking it. So best thing is search at Google Pictures a HD7 Back picture, where in one of them you will be able to locate a IMEI, search well & you will find.

You gave 'em your HD2 IMEI and they said that they won't give you a activation code because of beeing a hd2 IMEI?
As i got my code through email i had not to give any IMEI but i wrote them that it's for my HD2.
So my question: Is MS supporting wp7 on hd2 or is it just about who you are talking/chating... to?
And doesn't MS gets my IMEI anyway once i activate wp7?! seriously

When I rang MS they asked me what phone it was for, I told them it was for my HD7. They then asked me for my IMEI so I gave them mine, from my HD2, I got my activation code without a problem...
I gave them my hd2 imei and they didn't check it
I gave them my HD2's IMEI and they gave me the code as well
I must be the exception here. I unlocked my hd2 today, and called 1-800-microsoft. Told them I had bought a hd7 off the web, I had my product key in 4 minutes, she gave it to me over the phone! They NEVER asked for an IMEI
I went a different route. I did the chat thing but told them that I just got my HD7 and had no idea I would have to activate it when I bought it. I said I was getting ready to bring it back to the store if I couldn't get it activated soon. I got my activation code in about 2 minutes.
Sometimes you just gotta act angry. Be nice but act like it's too many steps to use a cell phone. You'll get your code.

Hi,
I sent you a PM
Read it and Im not responsible !
god this is so frustrating, from what i gather there is no chat support in the uk, so when you call them (i have numerous times) they all want an IMEI, or proof of purchase.
all i want to do is activate the bloody thing

Call Microsoft US, tell them it was a gift from somebody who lives in the US, give them an IMEI (Google for one, really, I have found four) and you`ll get your code. You might get lucky and they will only ask you for your name, e-mail address and phone number (which was my case).

I don't see what your problem is... Give them the IMEI number from your HD2. They have no way of checking it as far as I know. I've done it as have loads of others on here from the UK... What do you think they are going to do have the police come round and arrest you.
The only thing they would do if they do now check, is to say that you don't have a HD7, and they can't provide you with a code...

automatic area and operator code

Ok this might be a noob question but I DID spent more then half hour looking for an asnwer before posting and could not find my answer. so here it is.
When I am roaming every time I make a call I need to type in 0+area code+operator (phone company) before I enter the number.
However I normally use the numbers that are already in my contact list, if I click on it it will dial without the additional information, because in my home city I don´t need this codes and so I didn´t inserted the phone numbers with 0+AC+Op info.
Is there a way to configure my phone to add 0+Area Code+ Operator when I am away from my home city? And also the HD2 recognize that I am in the area code of an outside city and do not dial 0+AC+Op for this specific city when I am on it?
Thank you
Felipe

Ok it seems obvious that I can just input the 0+phone company number+area code before the number and save it in the contacts, it works, what if I change my operator (phone company)? I will have to go thru every single contact and change each number with the new number?
I wonder if there is a way to manually input it when I am roaming, like in the old nokias and LG once I was roaming and I dialed a number in contact list it asked for area code and operator number.

Not sure what you mean by your post. A little more information would help with someone assisting with your problem. What can you not register? Are you having a problem with registering your device for warranty, registering your device through your carrier to have it listed in your online profile, registering a username on a forum (browser loop/error)? Please provide some additional details. Thank you!
I did make that confusing...trying to register it on the Samsung site with my other devices, But when I put in the imei it won't let me continue.

Ah! Makes more sense now. What error message are you getting after entering the IMEI number and clicking "Submit"? A friend had a similar issue where he was unable to register his product through the Samsung products registration site for updates etc... His emails to their support team went round and round without resolve but in the end, he contacted them by phone and they provided him with quick resolution and stepped him through the process. This may be your best bet and they can be contacted at: 1-888-987-4357.
Hope this helps!
No error just red text asking to input the imei which i did..thanks anyway.

Yes, this was the same problem my friend had. Make sure you enter *#06# from your dialer screen to obtain the correct IMEI a sometimes the boxes will have an incorrect print on the sticker. Make sure you enter the first 15 digits and not the "/" along with the 2 digit number which follows. If this does not work, as suggested, contact Samsung and they will rectify the issue for you.
Hope this helps!

The Samsung Galaxy Gear device/watch does not have an IMEI number. IMEI is specific to wireless devices. The registration forms provided by Samsung are a generic form and not much thought has gone into the coding of this input form for registration. If the device has a serial number, this would be located on the product packaging or on the receipt of purchase. Try entering this but if nothing is available, phone Samsung to advise of your other products and then for the Samsung Galaxy Gear device, they would probably just take your email to inform you of any updates which may come out in future.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the Info.

Yes thanks again going to call tomorrow.
Hey great job the serial number worked for the Galaxy Gear.

How to remove SIM number in status info

Hi good day everybody,
I have an question about S4. Can i know how to remove the SIM number in the status>My Phone Number? (Settings>about phone>status>my phone number) pls refer to attchment.
i have tried and search in S4 forum but nothing point me the trick. and tried secret code as well but complicated...
TQ for everyone concerns.
It can't be done without decompiling Settings.apk and editing the XML code within to remove the telephone number field.
Personally, I find it useful as I don't memorize my own number, so I wouldn't worry about it. Unless your phone is stolen, the only person who is seeing the number is you.
