Phone will hang and drop the call, it does not matter if i use the button or slider. I'd guess it happens half the times or so..
Could not find any threads on this here, so i'm guessing it isnt a problem for most?
I have the same problem. Wondering if it is a known problem, and if there is a solution?
Mine can be well temperamental when answering a call.
Sometimes the vibration carries on for 4-5 seconds into the call. Sometimes the ringtone takes ages to stop, sometimes I do the slide-to-answer thing and it hangs - meanwhile the other person has rung off.
I don't know what causes it, but it's very annoying!

I have had it become unresponsive, trying to answer a call, while it would keep vibrating until i took the battery out..
i take it youve tried the slider fix?

Yes, that just made the slider less laggy.
The problems with the call function are so annoying that I decided to use a Nokia for calls and the HD for all the rest. So I am carrying two devices with me. What a progress!
Where can we find the fix for the slider problem?
Can you post a link to the fix you mentioned before please?

Hi All,
Has anyone noticed that when you're answering regular phone call, from the moment you're pressing answer and until the call is actually connected there is around 1-3 seconds lag ?
It becomes quite anoying when you're pressing answer, saying hello and than you've to repeat it for one or two times until the other end can actually hear you.
Anyone noticed that as well ? Any solutions maybe ?
Thanks in advanced,
Bright Star

just rember to start speaking later, t'll you here the soft noise of the phoneline
Hey, I've been lurking these forums for a while but I thought I'd come on to ask a question. I tried asking on sprintmogul.net but they didn't really help.
I've had my mogul for a few months but lately it's been developing a really annoying problem. I'm really not sure where it started exactly so I can't blame any apps in particular. When I receive a call the caller ID / ring and vibrate go off perfectly - the problem happens when I try to answer the call. Generally one of three things happens:
1 - The call connects instantly and just works - this happens pretty rarely, I remember the last time it happened the person calling was also on Sprint, if that makes any difference.
2 - The phone will just sort of hang there for about 10 seconds, caller ID popup still there, the ring stops though. Eventually the popup disappears and I get a missed call notification, as if I never clicked the answer button. This is what usually happens.
3 - The phone hangs like in situation 2, but the call eventually connects. This only happens if I press answer almost immediately after the phone starts to ring.
I'm on winMo 6.1 with the latest radio and am not running any major mods or hacks, just a few reg edits. I'll probably try a hard reset soon but ideas on things to try would be appreciated!
I am seeing this also, on both my own xv6800 and my wife's. It's VERY annoying.
Hi guys, I have this problem from some time now and it is getting worse and worse... 1st it was on one contact only - the phone sometimes rings and vibrates and sometimes only vibrate. Than it started to happen randomly across all of my contacts and I'm missing a lot of calls now. It seems like its totally random. The same person rings me twice and 1st time it rings and vibrates and right after that it only vibrates or the other way around. Any1 know anything about such problem? thanks in advance!
there is a patch for it, but it causes other problems in sense.
My GF doesn't use sense but SPB Mobile Shell, so for her this is no problem.
the patch can be found in this forum as HTC took it offline

This has been happening a lot ever since I updated to 2.1.2 and I haven't seen anyone else mentioning it. When on a call my mic will apparently just drop out and the other person can't hear me. The call is still connected but one of us has to hang up and call back. Happened twice today in quick succession. Sometimes when it happens I will look at the screen and it is as if I hit the conference call button and put the person on hold, even though I can still hear them. I thought maybe the screen wasn't turning off and my face was hitting buttons, but I determined this is not the case. The screen is off during the call and deliberate touches on the screen do nothing. Any ideas? I love the update and the OS overall, but this issue is a dealbreaker for me.

Following up...this problem is very real, very annoying, and happens every time I'm on a call longer than about 5 minutes. All the sudden the other person can't hear me and I look at my screen and it's as if the conference call button was pressed OR the screen is locked. Either way, my mic is muted. VERY annoying. Happens multiple times per call, every time. This is clearly a software bug and I find it highly unlikely that no one else is experiencing it. I even did a factory reset just as a test, and the problem persists. on 2.1.2
Hi,
I'm loving my OnePlus 5, but there is a strange behaviour with incoming calls. When the phone is ringing and vibrating, sometimes a really bad buzzing sound occurs every few seconds.
It doesn't happen with every call and I have absolutely no idea what's triggering it. I've thought about the vibration motor, but then it shouldn't only make that sound for some calls.
Anyone else with this issue?
Ok, I've done some tests and can easily reproduce the issue:
It happens when vibration is set to strong, like it is set default for calls, and the phone is lying somewhere. As soon as i touch the phone a little bit or take it in the hand, the sound stops. It cames definitely from the top (right?) of the phone.
It would be nice, if anyone could check if their phone makes the same noises. Either call your phone or simply go to vibrations settings.
I've made a video of the vibration sound on strong settings. Would anyone please be so kind to check it on his/her device? You can hear the strange noise pretty well.
OnePlus support told me it was normal.

Just tried on mine, doesn't have the issue, the support is clearly ****ing with you. If i had this issue, I would just get nuts

Thanks for your reply. I've set vibration to medium as a workaround. It would have been hard to believe every device is doing this ugly noise, especially since you hear it with standard settings for incoming calls.
Nevertheless I'd appreciate any further feedback wether his/ her device is affected or not.
Bro, I'd like to know if this issue got fixed for you? I am commenting because I started noticing this too.

I had to RMA the phone. Unfortunately it's the only solution.
I have 2 days left before my 10-day-replacement policy is over. You're saying, your replacement device doesn't have the issue?
