Sorry for my English, but I hopes it understands me.
Under attitudes/personal/sounds/extended/one can assign different actions sounds to notifications in Win Mobil 6,1 pro. Is " so e.g. for the notification; Wireless network gefunden" according to standard a sound and a vibration assigned. I deactivated this on my 3g. Now is the problem that after each restart the sound is again activated. Can one change that somewhere with a rain entry that standard is not sound? That is absolutely annoying.

Hi,
I have a T-Mobile Vario that I unlocked to use my Vodafone SIM.
Each time after I do a soft reset or restart the system comes up with a "network notification" showing the area code I am in.
Is there anyone who had this same problem and is there a way to switch these "network notifications" off.
Yep.. Same here.
RUU_Prodigy_1060701_101_11310_QTEK_WWE_Ship has the same "feature". This message is displayed once after logging to network so I can live with it.

No. If I add it and also channel 50, I get notifications on every cell change.
Priit: hmm. But you guys want no notifications at all right?

I only get that notification if I'm in Glasgow (where I work). Where I live (out in the stix) I get no such notification although I hasten to add I still have top reception.
Out of interest, does anyone know any other codes and what they do? I'm on o2 and I don't know if these things actually work for us.
also from glasgow with latest rom and sometimes get these notifications. doesnt bother me htough, its not often that i have to reset the device.
these broadcast channels? does anyone have any others for O2 as i would also be interested in them.... especially ones that deliver beer to my doorstep?
regards
I'm experiencing the same thing. First I thought it is to be a one time thing which I can live with it. However, as soon I as have other reminder around, this Network Notifications is a 'threat'.
Whenever I get into a no service (weak signal) zone and back again, I will get logged into the network and receive this network notification. Which is fine with me until I notice that, once this notification is in place (e.g. before you dismiss it), all other reminder will not be shown (no display, no vibrate, no sound, etc, nothing), which really concerns me.
Seems many have the same problem

From other forum, this guy is having the same problem as me, the notification somehow covers the alarm that he set

hi all,
i got a very annoying "feature" in the O2 Cosmo(T-Mobile Dash). The incoming call will be blocked(heard busy tone) if the GPRS is in transmission. I was complained by many friends.
To my understanding, there's a setting in some phones to enable both GSM/GPRS concurrent connections. Is there such setting in Windows Mobile?
My ROM is 1.13.207.2, RADIO is 4.1.13.28_02.63.90
i tried to refersh its ROM, but don't know how to CID unlock. the "RUU_Excalibur_SPL-1.11_UpgradeOnly.exe" on the server has no luck for me, still "Invalid model ID".
can anythone show light on me?
thank you

I think microsoft released a patch for that: i'll try find it on google for you. can you explain what configuration you used?
I think the 'patch' you need is called 3G.
I have the exact same problem and I opened a thread on it as well.
Read here.
The conclusion we reached was that this is a network, not phone dependent problem.
yeah never happent to me ever
thanks for all the replies.
My previous phone is O2 XDA Mini S(Wizard). I used that one to receive push mail provided by GoodLink, which requires GPRS always on. I didn't have such issue with that, at least no complain from my friends.
That's why i am wondering something wrong with the RADIO configuration. I didn't make any specific change to my new O2 XDA Cosmo(Excalibur).
best regards
And back to my memory.
I used to have the classical Ericsson T39. There was a setting to enable GSM incoming call during GPRS transmission(cannot remember the exact name). By enable that, i can still receive incoming call, and the GPRS connection will auto resume after the call.
Is there similar setting for Windows Mobile?
There is not as far as I've ever known. I've used smartphones that determined which was blocked and which was not based on which application was in use at the time. That is, if you were actively using IE or some other network app, phone calls would go straight to voice mail. If a non-network app was front and center at the time, the network would be disconnected and the phone would ring. That (and the SE settings mentioned above which I saw on my SE phones too) showed that it was a phone setting made by the carrier. I'd hope there's a little more intelligence behind it than just "voice trumps network" but if there is, I couldn't tell you what determines which gets through and when.
I've found that it's based on the amount of data being transmitted at the time of the (attempted) call. For example, high-bandwith usage such as media streaming will lead to the incoming phone call being blocked/diverted most of the time, whereas sporadic usage (eg. PING, or loading a very simple web page) has allowed a call to come in, temporarily disabling GPRS. GPRS can never be used during a phone call.
My HD rings 3 times before redirecting the incoming call to the answer service. This isn't enough, but I can't find a setting anywhere to adjust the number of rings or ring time like I could on my old Nokia (yep, I'm another old symbian user...) Anybody know where this setting is?
all phones i've messed with which could change that just supported
auto changing the phone network settings which control such things
my operator got descriptions how to change it using gsm commands
from the phone
go to settings.... Personal tab, Phone
Call forwarding... option there for Forward calls after X seconds.
I bought a dash 3g!!!
but.... it had an issue with a clicking sound every so often on the other end of the call, several people reported hearing the same sort of sound. i called my phone and could hear it as well, its like a switching channels kinda sound.
I tried everything i could think of, turning off 3g, turning off bluetooth, trying with or without the headset, new sim card, moving to many different locations, but still it kept happening so i exchanged it and twice viola! same thing on 3 different phones...... am i alone on this guys???
Have you tried turning off voice privacy in the settings? It's possible that for whatever reason that is toggling on and off and could explain the click. By the way, next time try having a more descriptive topic name and using fewer question marks and exclamation points.

ok i dont see any options for that over there.... any other ideas
to get to ur voice privacy settings :
settings > phone > more... > "voice privacy" - disable it, and see how that works out.
If this is any help, I'm in Europe with an original HTC Snap.
No voice issues like you described. Sound is loud and clear.

Use this VOIP client.

It changes the sound to ear-piece during call. Fast switch between different SIP service providers, use of WM phone book etc.
