I just uninstalled Gsen as I feel it is very lag. To answer your question,
go to Gsen CFG, you can click on the option to start the Gsen everytime
you boot up your HTC HD.
thank you for your reply, but what option in the config file for autostart? i only have window, show, timeout, onlyfor, fdscreen, x, y, clr and poweroff.
so which one is the autostart function? do i need to add any function?
regards
Thank you ,

In GSenCFG, click bottom left on file, then startup. confirm. done.
Looks like you manually put the GSen CFG into your startup folder, instead of GSen.exe. Anyways, that's what the above mentioned does, or you can do it manually.
BTW, I am quite satisfied with this app.
thank you for your tip, it worked for me and yes...i like the app, it works smoothly

Hello everyone,
I like Gsen App and Brins0net also, but I couldn't find this functionality.
I'd like to rotate screen in programs which I have on the list (only those! eg. Text messages).
I don't like finding programs where I don't want my screen rotated.
Can you help me to find this kind of solution?

Yes it can, I changed the action to startup tomtom, but that is also annoying because you keep hitting it accidentaly...
SSMapA
yes, people, use ssmapa, you can change click link location to any other one.
Thank you.
Works like a charm...
No action when clicking on TF3D clock
Use SSMaPa app and link 'Time click' to PrgDoNothing.exe

Hey All,
I just got my phone this friday and installed tomtom 7on it.
It works nice & fast for those who want to know... But how can I get it into landscape?
I read on internet that you need to put your phone in landscape modus before starting up tomtom but that doesn't work (rotating doesn't help)
So what I also read is that you can assign a button to force rotation... But well I can't find the settings... Any help?

Use a 3th party gsensor app.
Add TomTom in it, and allow it to go landscape when putting the phone in landscape.
Hmm sorry for being noobish (this is my first windows mobile phone), but where can I find that specific G-Sensor app, I googled but all I can find are some silly G-Sensor games etc...

Hmm sorry to bother again... But the program crashes when I start it, "MissingMethodException" and than it's telling me that I need a newer version of the compact framework...

Search for something else Probably not compatible.
I use Gyrator 2 and it works very well in tomtom, both in landscape mode as in reverse modes.

Does it work in the HD2, or do you have it running on a different model ?
I use Change Screen on my Diamond.
You can set TomTom to ONLY work in landscape mode, so when you start the app, it then rotates to landscape, and will not flip to portrait and back again when you go round a corner a bit fast.

Running on my new hd2 ofcourse
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=347705
I used that and assigned it to the answer call button (did this by changing the button settings).
I just hold it down for a few secs and it rotates manually, hold down again and it goes back to normal! I prefer this than using the gsensor

Yup. If you're a memory freak like me and doesnt want to install unnecessary cabs running in the background when HTC already has a rotate function, i suggest using what's already there. Holding down for 2sec and voila! landscape. I find all the other rotate programs to be a huge pain (and sometimes dont work at all!) and take up to much RAM. Assigning the <rotate screen> to the call button was the best thing I've ever did.
Leo hardware button
Nice programme, simple, effective. But with al LEO it seems you can not assign hardware buttons to programmes. Or I am I doing something wrong here?
Same here... Found where I can assign the buttons, only no buttons appear so I can't select anything...
The strange thing is that autorotation of tomtom 7.916 worked on the HD out of the box which doesn't work on the HD2. Perhaps the API changed but i hope TomTom / HTC comes with an update to fix this.
Sorry wrong answer. Deleted.
Auto rotation working fine in my Brandnew HTC now.
Found the tips to get it working somewhere else.
Step 1:
Go to the following Registry key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\Gsensor\ModuleName
Add a new STRING Value:
Name: TomTom
Value: \Program Files\navigator\tomtomnavigator.exe (if you have a different language you may need to change Program Files to whatever you have)
Please note that in this case TomTom is installed on the Device, NOT the Storage Card.
Step 2:
Go to the following Registry key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\Gsensor\Whitelist
Add a new STRING Value:
Name: TomTom
Value: MunichWinClass
Now do a Soft Reset, and now when you start TomTom and put your HD2 in Landscape, TomTom will rotate automatically.
Maybe someone can make a cab for this ???
yep i've used that registry fix above and that does get tomtom to auto rotate, better than using a 3rd party app, although if you had bsbtweaks installed you might have been able to get it to auto rotate using that.
Personnaly, I use BsB Tweak to enable landscape on many programs, included TomTom
I've just installed gyrator as I couldn't get the long_send.lnk function to work with rotation.cab.
I've noticed when I go into task manager and end all tasks it obviously ends gyrator, and then gyrator stops working, ie it no longer rotates the screen. IS there anyway I can start gyrator back up without having to install it again and resetting the phone?
Cheers

You can set gyrator to be "exclusive" (in the settings directly off the task manager), so that it doesn't show in the list.
Alternatively, have a look at PLToggle (in my signature). It may be what you're looking for.

Nice one, cheers for that mate, your PLtoggle.cab works great, and a hell of a lot easier that trying to install the rotate.exe and copying shortcuts to windows etc.

There should be an icon for gyrator placed into your start menu after install. You can simply click this to start gyrator again if you accidently close it.
Also... after install gyrator is placed into startup... this means that it will start automatically after resetting your device.
No need to re-install!!!
I have adapted the HD 18 buttons Action Screen, with Wifi and Bluetooth status indicator, to the Rhodium bluetooth stack.
All credit goes to Wedge666 (thread here), to posters in his thread for customisation and of course to first Action Screen developper (I would quote him if I knew. Anyone knows? Or was it adapted from a HTC application?).
As in the original from Wedge666, you trigger with Manila Home tab right soft key, and you can configure program to make it running in background if you wish (quicker?). You have no confirmation message on shut down or reset.
You get advice about installation and basic customisation explanation in the HD thread.
Thierry
EDIT : on Roms with Action Screen already installed, it may be difficult to completely uninstall this version. And you need to apply the fix here.
Thanks thierry2064,
Will try it.
Greetings from Lille
You are welcome!
I attach here the version I use now, black and white except for the network status indicator, plain black background. Links to Pocket informant, Opera Mobile, Resco Explorer, Tomtom.. but this is easy to change, as explained in the HD thread. I may personalize it later (the favorite people button is a "heart" game card now).

not showing up
i followed instructions for this by installing mortscript then .net.
nothing showed up on home tab.
the softkeys phone(L) and menu(R) still remain from rom .
im using HTCSense2.5 Landscape|Rhodium_AF|WM65 23529 by ark on my att tilt 2.
so by using total commander i see that it is intalled and the config icon is in start menu and folder in windows.
but how do i make a softkey for this or shortcut or something?
help?
Did you reset ? By the way if you had the cab in the third post (NC for no color), pease do not install, because I forgot some blutooth files... I will upload corrected version later.
help
i soft reset after every step.
action screen works, but i had to find link via total commander.
only action screen config had link in start up menu.
i copied paste action screen link to start up menu via total commander but link was not pretty and i dont know how to change its icon.
also, neither the left or right soft key changed after installation as mentioned in my previous post.
any help is much appreciated.
could it be the rom i am using?
i used the color actionscreen cab
If you feel like to change the registry (take care, if you do some wrong change you could have to hard reset), you can go to HKLM/Software/HTC/Manila
then change HomeRSKPath to \Windows\ActionScreen\LauchAction.exe and HomeRSKText to Action. Afetr reset you should see "Action" on the right low corner of the Home tab of Manila. If it does not work I do not know, maybe you shopuld ask on your Rom thread...
thanks
thanks for your advice.
doing regedit is alil beyond me bcuz i am new to this.
i still appreciate your effort.
Here is the version I use now. I added text, and warnings for Power Off and Reset. Customized to my needs, you have to see explanations in the HD thread to customize it to yours.
Here is a customization tutorial : http://www.techparaiso.com/customiz...how-to-assign-it-as-power-button-application/
I do not use Photoshop, the freeware Paint.net does the basic work. The icons could be nicer, if you make or find some nice icons, please share the background and the icons so that we can use it!
Can you please work on setting the action screen to the power button of TP2 instead? thank you for your great work...

Hi charlieb620
You need to close the Action Screen process manually using a task manager like dotfred's or schap's. You're looking for HTCActionScreen.exe.

I am wondering if it is not a problem with another version of action screen installed on the Energy ROM. Can you see another one in "remove program" ? Maybe this 18 button action screen is not compatible with the Energy Rom (I have a stock Rom).

Hi charlieb620
Try using Total Commander to rename the extension of HTCActionScreen.exe to .ext or something like that. If it let's you, restart the device and you should be in business.
