It's impossible to connect to the WEB using my Blackstone, as I tap on "Internet sharing" Active Sync disconnects, but on the display I read "Verifing connection" and nothing else happens.
Here's a screenshot of what's shown up in the "control panel\device manager" when I deactived ActivSync and tap internet sharing icon:

I've re-installed the drivers and point the location to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\Drivers" and still no luck...
Any help would be very appreciated
Follow this guide, works fine for me.
Thanx, but that's not what I meant: my problem is the connection via USB, any suggest?
I just tried this.
This process using USB with my Vista laptop.
1. Connect HD via USB, let sync complete (or connect as disc drive).
2. Run Internet Sharing on the HD.
3. Select USB in the PC connection field.
4. Select your carrier in the Network Connection field.
5. Hit connect.
6. Vista installs the driver.
7. Connected until I hit disconnect.
See attached screen shot.
Thanx my friend, but I have XP and I've tried your suggest a thousand times without success
I got same problem with xp activesyn usb connection, it's keep on disconnect, solve connection with bluetooth PAN (activesync didn't gave any headache with bluetooth)

If you are using ActiveSync 4.2 and have a problem with Desktop Pass-through it may be caused by a Layered Service Provider (LSP) that use the Windows TCP/IP stack. This has been known to occur with ISA Server. The registry file LSPValue.reg will reverse this setting. Microsoft and the Pocket PC OEM does not support users that edit the registry.

I copied the file to my device and added it, soft reset, but internet via usb doesn't work. Please help me?

Found the answer to my problem
The solution is to download this:
http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/activesync/LSPvalue.reg
Right click save target as...
Then run it on the PC (not the PDA)
And internet will function via USB.
Although somebody at pocketpcfaq.com was the original source of the fix (thanks, whoever you are!), I also want to say "thanks" to nicosomers, because the post here is the one that I found, and the one that solved my exact same problem. Adding the AllowLSP=0 key to my registry (and rebooting, of course) was all that I needed to allow me to use activesync pass-through to access the internet on my windows mobile 5.0 "not so smartphone". So thanks!
Thanks
Many, many thanks nicosomers.
You realy help me.
Hello, sorry for creating a topic, but i couldn't find an answer reading the first 10 pages of this thread.
So, i have a TD2..
i installed the Active Sync 4.5 to my Computer (Runs on XP - SP2)

}
The 1'st picture shows the Active Sync menu, its quite empty
The 2'nd picture shows the box's that are checked. Hope its the right way.
The 3'rd picture, appears when i press Connect on the 2'nd picture.
In the 4'th picture .. we have the searching menu, and it ends with picture number 5.
Now, when i reinstall and install again the Active Sync to my Computer, it appeared the following msg, on picture number 6.
So .. i checked in the Device Manager, and found out that a Yellow Warning Sign was present
I really would appreciate some help, because I'm a n00b in these area. Thx in advance.
P.S. The Computer has no problem with the Micro SD card.
Nobody ?
I had the same issue, bur plugging to different USB port (on PC) solved the issue. Try that and keep us posted.

I was wondering if there is away to use my PC's internet connection to download from market n that instead of using wifi....

For this, You need to root your device & install Virtuous Unity 2.37 Rom (or any Rom supporting internet pass through).
Internet Passthrough mode allows you to share your PCs Internet connection from your HTC Android device via its USB connection, saving you money on cellular data costs when you're not in range of a wireless access point or don't wish to use WiFi for whatever reason.
This is only supported on Windows at the time of writing, not Mac OS.
In order to use Internet Passthrough mode, you will need to have HTC Sync version 3.0.5439 or later installed on the PC.
Also note that when connected in Internet Passthrough mode, it is not possible to synchronise with the device via USB.
Once the HTC Sync software has been installed, connect the Android device and when prompted select the option to connect in Internet Passthrough mode. You will prompted on the device to perform common troubleshooting steps if the connection is unsuccessful, such as checking firewall and anti virus software

Windows will detect new hardware automatically and install a network adapter using the drivers installed as part of the HTC Sync installation process:
Your Android device is now connected to the Internet via your PC.
Ty maybe I should have done a lil more research...

might be worth going to settings > storage and touching the 3 little squares in the top right of the screen. check that MTP is turned on.
