yea it does work pretty good but i think thats the one i had on the titan wasnt sure if it was gonna work on the touch thanks alot bro
hey i dont know if your having this problem but it doesnt notify me when i get a text like it tells me on the screen i got one but it doesnt make any sounds... is there a fix for this?
I use ringo, and it works fine for me, the volume is up i'm assuming?
if you didn't know this already, you have to specifically set a sound for the Palm Messaging App. try Start->Settings->Sounds & Notifications->Notifications Tab, scroll and select "Messaging: New Message (Palm)" and then select the sound you want to play when a text message received via the Palm app.
I used this same app on my Wizard way back and loved it. I couldn't live without it once I tried it. Last I heard it is supposed to be compatible with ALL WM6 devices so it should work fine with the Touch.
yea it works now i had to pick a sound for it lol i feel stupid now but now the other problem is that when i bring up the touch keyboard with the t9 it doesnt show me the words i could choose from... they stay at the bottom so i have to bring the keyboard up and down all the time... is there a way to fix that?

I don't think so, I wish there was.... I use the Full Screen Keyboard, once you start sending messages, you'll get used to not seeing the words....
i hope that we can custom the Keyboard to go up an 1 inch so we can see what we doing.
Thats what i asked in another thread...a automatic resize, like what it does in pocket ie, its not a big deal to me anymore, i'm used to it...
When getting rid of this app. It takes away the orginal Text Messages. Anyway to bring them back with out backing up phone?

ive asked this in other threads but no reply. can someone tell me if this app allows you to use mms. according to the other threads, everybody is having problems sending and receiving mms. can we use this app solely for the threaded sms part and THEN USE ppcgeeks mms app. will that solve the trick??? plz let me know. i have a sprint touch. thanks alot guys!

Thats a handy little fix, but I've found it only applies to SMS. It doesn't work in pocket IE

FYI:
HTC have confirmed that there is a bug with WM6.5 that shows that you have an unread message, while you clearly don't.
A fix is being prepared by Microsoft.
Never knew about that...
But knew about alarm ringing alarm and notification sound mixed.... and alarm does not stop... in the morning.
Battery additional info reseted to "0" so no historical info there....
No option to light signal for more that 5 minutes (thank god there is a registry tweak for that).

What about the other bugs? Or am I the only one having them:
-Extra blank line between input-box and suggested words-line. Meaning the suggested words-line cross the "send"-button, and when you're picking a word, you accidently push "send".
-TouchFlo/Sense now only shows 160(?) letters in SMS-dialogue. Almost all my sms, in and out, exceed 160, so to read sms now, I have to use the Windows-dialogue(inbox). This was not a problem on WM6.1
-The input box and keyboard overlay the sms-dialogue, so what you see when you write a new text, is NOT the last you recieved, but 2 or 3 messages back in history. The newest ones are hidden behind keyboard, instead of scrolled up.
The weird thing is that these don't seem like bugs, just.. bad construction.

No I dont have these issues, but then again I dont use HTC Sense. Are these Sense related or Windows 6.5 related?

Totally with ya on this one, toth42. I'm having exactly the same issues and think it's Sense rather than WinMo 6.5 itself...

Yea, I'll say it's sense/manila/tf3d, but all the problems occured after the official 6.5 update.
BTW, the one bug, with last SMS's being hidden by keyboard and textbox, is the same in WinMo(inbox). Just check, go to a conversation in your inbox, and whip up the keyboard. The keyboard and text-box takes most of the screen, and what u see above it, is not the last message of the conversation.
They are not bugs, just bad ideas badly implemented i suppose. Yep, the one with send button is driving me crazy

I seem to recall there was a hotfix for this for 6.1, called something like "hotfix for fixing the problem with the extra white line when writing sms"? And still they don't implement the fix in the next version?
Hey guys i got the issue fixed using a little tool to clear the message count. Check this post, and thanks to onthemail:

Run the program and do a soft reset - wait a couple of seconds and the annoying green message count will disappear. If not, do it all again (run program and soft reset) and it should def work.

Although I'm not experiencing the exact same problem the topic starter posted, I'm also having a problem with the HTC SMS. When I go to contacts, choose one of my favorites, go to the sms tab and send an sms from there, sometimes the sms doesn't show up in the thread, it just totally disappears from the device. As far as I know the messages are sent to the person, but it's annoying to me to not be able to read back what I wrote.
Anyone familiar with this problem and has a solution for it?

I get quite a few Joke texts sent, but the long ones allways get cut off near the end. Some of them must be 4 or more texts long. I didnt have this problem until i upgraded to win 6.5. I allways miss the punchline is this a known problem and is there a fix or is there i setting i have missed.

It's a bug in WM6.5 unfortunately. You have to go in to Windows messages to see the entire message (as opposed to HTC's sense UI)..it's annoying and i hope HTC come out with a rom update very soon as this is just one of many many bugs and annoying quirks in 6.5. Argh!

this seems to be the only thread to address the lag in messaging with a viable solution, but like many, I don't like to downgrade anything, I guess we should wait for HTC to provide the same patch they did for the HD2...anyway, it's a shame that they take so long.

I just installed the LEO sms hotfix from HTC on my Topaz, and now there is now lag in sms.
I use Dutty R6 ROM.
There is still this annoying lag when I try to type. Especially with the space bar not working. This really messes it up.
I've been playing with the replacing it with SENSE 2.1 messaging.. and it works great - BUT:
The text indicator (That blinking thingy that says where you are with typing..) is nog appearing. Anyone know how to fix this? It's probably a messed up registry key or something, I don't know.
Or am I doing something wrong?

Just install the hot fix, no need to revert your Sense messaging.
I installed the hotfix,
Hell I even tried Nat's latest rom which has the hotfix build in. It's all fun and games to load texts real quick, but typing is still a *****. Topaz is just not equipped to handle the MESSAGING client from HTC.
I get to type smooth for the first SMS, but if I reply and there is already another one there too.. things lag up. I text mega-quick and when I'm done.. it looks like this:

The space bar isn't working half the freaking time. I have to wait a second after EVERY word and press it firmly. Tried everything, even screen realignment. I installed the revert-patch - and bam; I can type like thunder and lightning again. But just missing the cursor. No real big deal though.. just hoping someone knows how to fix it.

I was wondering if anyone else experienced the samething happening since the SMS hofix (most people seem to have SMS sending issues but I've not really found people with this one).
Typing is so so so painfully slow in the SMS window now that its practically unusable. Also the phone doesnt seem to register spaces very often anymore when writing messages. The net affect of this is that its taking a lot longer to write messages.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Yes! I am suffering from this, its only once the thread gets longer that it starts to really cripple the text input, but spaces are constantly missed out!
